Still good, but receding into the past with very little new development. The settings are many but disorganized and weirdly redundant. I do like that it works with Google labels but getting it to work rationally is still an experimentation process. My most recent frustration was trying to figure out how to set the slide functions in the contacts list. Still can't figure it out.
Just upgraded my my phone to a Samsung s20 fe. The merge function is now not working. All you get when you try to merge is unknown name. Also can not find a way to set the defaults for what to display when a contact is merged. Love the program, been using it for years, but this is very frustrating.
I looked at severals contact apps but for heavy duty users like me this one really stands out. I can be a bit complex at the beginning because of a huge number of options. but you can customize every aspect. For example it can store an infinite (50000) call log instead of storing just the last 500 calls. Great app.
At first I didn't know what this was but thought my phone got hacked. After figuring out what happened and messing around with the programs this is a very complete system. The stock system apps are ok but DW gives you so much more and has alot of features you would need to have 5 or 7 different apps to this one app. If you don't have the Google Play Pass it does cost but all in all it is well worth the price.
Great contacts app that no longer works without being default phone app on Android 10. For that reason i quit using it, although I just used the fantastic grid view on the contacts with the great recents used contacts sorting (and several other minor features like the birthday notification) To the developer, any chance to release a standalone version of the contacts view? That would be great.
This is one of the best apps in my phone that I use every day. And the best of that type. It has some problems as everything but they are minor and are fixed quite fast. I have been using it since 2016 and every time I had a problem they fixed it. Great support. It's on my work phone.I work for a repair service company and I have over 400 companies in my contact list with over 1500 people with different info for them. It's a life saver.
setup would stop when asked if I wanted app to be my default message app and I selected no. Why make selection possible and stop when you don't like the answer. Remember I am not enamored with all of the product features. The selection concept was great. but, implementation sucked.
Unfortunately, DW Contacts needs to now be set as the default calling program for the Note 9. And this creates issues regarding notifications of missed calls, etc. I would like to use the native Samsung app for calling but use this for dialing out. Sadly that is now impossible after the update.
has been a great app but recent update forces you to set the app as your default messenger every time... it's really really annoying, I wish they would remove that... and then now for whatever reason I used to have my contacts were order according to 'recently contacted'.. and it seems that I still have those settings but for whatever reason it keeps putting my contacts back in alphabetical order, that is also very annoying, please fix, thank you
I think about this app as a toolbox, you can do almost anything you need, very practical, and works. You can edit settings to do lists, etc. I wish the developers provide some organizing themes that provide ready made nice look to the components that make the toolbox.
Not a bad app, my messages still say "unknown sender" which is annoying because I can't easily determine who has sent the text, I'll persevere with it for a week or 2 then if no better I'll uninstall it even though I spent 8.99. On it
I cannot get messages to not show up in the call history as missed or un received calls. Also, numbers not in my contacts show up as a single random numeral in the history log. This has never happened before and is on a fresh install.
Still exploring, but have come across many features and it has made it very convenient for me.VERY customizable, I haven't even set all of the preferences, yet. However, it looks as though this single app will take care of several apps jobs.
Fantastic app. When contacts are restored, groups are not restored. Please make it possible to restore groups also. If this is available I can ditch Google contact sync. Dual sim number are not shown on Oreo 8.1. It's not working properly.
Using since 5 years, but recently My call logs are not being updated properly. Individually i can view all of them. But when i enable call merge, it is quite buggy and Recently dialed numbers do not show up in the call logs often. Problem with call log merge. I am on version 3.1.3.2
I like the App very much. The concerns I have is since I installed it, when a call come in it sets my ringer to mute. This is very annoying. Also, just recently some of my contacts are being removed.
Although this app has many useful features, they are unfortunately buried beneath an unintuitive and convoluted settings menu and GUI, making it inaccessible for many people.
The app is excellent. It has a lot of features, like the ability to create an event with a custom title and with a specific contact. I have not found another contact manager with this ability.
I agree with other comments. It was great before the update that forces it to go to SMS after a call. I paid money to have it the way I want instead if it forcing me to do something I don't want. Should just hang up after a call. I deleted it after having it for two years.
I'm so disappointed. I bought this app and used it for years to manage my contacts (I love nested labels). Then it all changed and I can no longer use it for contacts unless I also use other features that I just don't need (i.e. SMS, phone calls). I feel like I was duped by one of my favorite apps. - Scott
I paid for this app 5 yrs ago when it said based in Hong Kong, now it says China. I was also a beta tester. I used it for unlimited call hx. It req all Permissions. I've been getting Chinese telemarketing calls & suspect my info was breached. App said to uninstall after leaving beta tester. Reinstalled it, but am yet to set it up again. Will wait to hear developer response regarding my user data.
Came back to DW for it's flexibility - I am able to configure it to my power-user needs. LEFT DW again because I forgot that it does not have it's own contact editor (add / modify contacts is done in the default contacts app).
The customizable aspect of the UI is okay. You can change the colour and choose some visual identifiers you want. However I'd like to change the indent from the left on lists, the names and numbers are too close too the edge of the phone/phone case. For what's available, it seems pointless. The phone app doesn't work and crashes all the time. The home screen icons are ugly as hell. The messages app crashed and didn't send a few messages, and the visual aid for drafts is un-moddable, and poor.
