Looks and sounds the same as Megadrive version which was a favourite of my childhood. The problem are the controls especially when you are fighting bosses and playing bonus games. Jumping and attacking at same time and attacking diagonally is very difficult. I hope Sega can fix that. Music is great. Also I would like full screen. 4:3 is maximum resolution.
This game is impossible to play with the current mobile controls. The way you beat this game is through using both the control pad and the A B or C buttons at the same time to direct where Headdy throws his head. It's impossible to do this because you can't locate the buttons and play the game at the same time. You have no "feel" for where the buttons are at any point in time. Please fix this!!! I want to love this game as I did growing up but the controls are terrible.
the controller support is poor. I have 6 different android controllers, a few with a few different modes to use with android. not a single one of my controllers make headdy move. neither the dpads nor the analog sticks work with this game. same with all the sega forever games. All of my controllers DO work fine with the 2D sonic mobile games though. those games are made much better.
This game is absolutely fun and its such a classic from the Mega Drive/Genesis. The only thing that is keeping me from putting it to 5 stars is the horrible screen tearing. It's shown all over the game unless you are stationary against a boss or in a practice room.
So much nostalgia! Sounds and plays like the original along with it's ridiculous difficulty. The PS4 controller works perfectly which is crucial for such an intense game. Thanks Sega for adding the Japanese version for the smaller players in my home!
Ah im torn... Its just like it was on the genesis and i love it, but the controls are horrible. The game is hard to play on a phone, and targeting in diagonal directions is like pulling teeth out of a raging bear while dodging rain drops.
I love this game but it really is better to play the japanese version with an eng translation, as the english version gutted the games story and changed a bunch of stuff. (Not the fault of this version specifically, but the original english Megadrive release.)
I love coming back to this game ay this time of the year. I've had the Sega ultimate collection for PS3, including this game and so much more, it became my prized possession. I became disappointed when I lost it somehow, and am glad this is here on mobile. Am I needing to say how awesome this is? Look at everyone else's fantastic opinions.
Waste of time, as soon as you start the app an ad video that you cant skip pops up. You don't even get to play the game first.
Nice but not recommended gor casual players. Overall, the game is pretty fun. Also on the sound test I think there should be the Vice Versa level music there. If its there, then I can't find it.
The game is awesome. Touch controls are serviceable, but they are not optimal for a game so action intense like this. I strongly recommend using a controller
one of my favorite genisis games on mobile,but there are a few flaws...the arcade controls are hard to control and worst of all if your on your izayo and you want to save your game YOU HAVE TO SIGN UP! and I don't think thats fair...anyway good genisis port but please fix these flaws
Such a fun game. It has no bugs, and i feel like the game is fair. Like my hitbox. And I love how Treasure made the runaway a level to see your controls. Im only giving this 4 stars cuz it isnt PERFECT. but a very good game
I like the game. But I'm the controls should be bigger or replace it with a joystick. My fingers hurt an do only Gon through 3 bosses and I lost the 3 boss for many times.
It was a nice game, except you never know if throwing your head on the enemy is actually working or not. Because there aren't any visuals on doing so.
I haven't even played this yet, I played it on PS3... Some Sega game collection? I loved how the game was so unique... I probably won't need to change this rating.
I have not installed in a long time but I did love it but if I ever tried hard enough to get past the first boss I have no idea if Iever did but never got psst it so ask to make it a little easier if you want because this is harder to combo on mobile
Best game ever all you have to do is go to setting and change it to arcade mode I never had a Sega Genesis before so this is my first time
When i was 10 in 1994 Jan\13 it was a trailer came up i was a fan of SEGA AND NINTENDO so my parents got me the mega drive and super nintendo so when headdy came out i played it i fineshed the game in 1999 it was exiting for the snes i got kirbys dream course . thanks for reading! LOL

i'v been looking for this for years im 30 and played this when i was a child, peopld thought i was crazy said this headdy hame didn't exsist, im so happy to not be crazy hahaha best game ever.
Whenever I plug in my controller and try to use it the rewind time option keeps popping up please fix this

Dynamite headdy is my favorite sega game!!!!! But the mobile version has bad controls tho..
So I've played it a few times and it's definitely dynamite heddy the way I remembered it! however, the directional pad is too small to register my proper actions in the game making it unplayable. If the directional pad was bigger, it would be simple fix to this problem.
