The application is an alternative to other similar applications to automate tasks, handle profiles, etc.: Tasker, AutomateIt, Llama, Locale, Profiles, ...
The application allows you to specify more than 130 event types and execute more than 80 action types; furthermore, all event and action types can be parameterized, making the app even more versatile, and its functionality may be expanded in the future.
E-Robot can handle events which are location-based, time-triggered, application-handled, and more.

The wi-fi-based location detection is a perfect usage of the new "Scanning always available" feature of Android 4.4 even if wi-fi is disabled.
This free version contains ads but there is a Pro Key which hide ads and removes this restriction.

Needs to be updated for recent Android: (1) Doesn't autostart when phone starts. (2) Can't backup commands. Also, an "if ... then ... else ..." control structure would be useful and I think it would make E-Robot easier for users to program. Also, users might need advice to disable Android's "battery optimization" of E-Robot so Android won't halt it. E-Robot is a very powerful app for automating control of one's phone. It would be sad if it's not updated to handle minor changes of Android.
Wow! Incredibly powerful tool. Much more intuitive than similar applications in the okay store including the paid ones. Very helpful instructions but still a steep learning curve for someone like myself with no understanding of how computer magic works.
So amazingly frustrated. Just trying to set a variable and do something conditionally if it's true, and it's a NIGHTMARE. Just scripting by text would be easier than this. It's needlessly confusing, and trying to find every command in the lists is a chore. Extremely inconvenient to set anything up, I'd hate to see what it's like doing something with some actual complexity. It does at least technically work.
This was one of the best apps I have ever used. Sadly, I paid for the pro key and never received anything. When I emailed the dev, I never received a response. Severely disappointing. I still love the app, just wish I had received the key for my payment...
No longer works for me. Rooted Nexus6P running Lineageos 15.1. All privileges granted. Can't launch a URL at a specified time. Can't turn on the hotspot when connected to a Bluetooth device.
nice app good replacement for Llama although the interface can be a little confusing once you get your head around it its very powerful. Although in the last update all the http calls (events and documentation) now give net::ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITTED
App works, no problem, But 3 problems with user interface 1) no search button. Say I want to search volume, So i have to swipe through all pages. You must put 🔎 button in the app. 2) give me an option if I want items in a scroll list and not under swipe menu currently followed in the app. 3) add clear descriptive info as to what each event action does. Macrodroid app seems better than this in terms of user interface and has some extra features.
Tried to set up, wouldn't detect CDMA towers. Using the towers is why I downloaded. Not actually being able to use them is why I uninstalled.
This app wants permissions it doesn't need. I'm not sure, but if you install and use it, I believe you also get low resale value on your home.
the scripts i made doesnt work unless i click on the run button inside the app and im so frustrated
Clicking the examples menu option gives a Java error. Same for documentation option.
So far so good. Work perfectly, but the use needs some familiarization.
Why does the change log for the 1st update in a LONG time say that SMS & Call log features are being removed!?

couldn't detect my cell.
I was using this app on my blackberry priv for work, mainly to have it automatically turn on the WiFi hotspot whenever I left home. It worked beautifully on that, but I've since been "upgraded" to a blackberry key2. It doesn't want to toggle the hotspot on/off on this phone. So far, I haven't figured out why... All the other settings seem to work fine.
