Ear Training

Music has rhythm and melody. Being able to listen some music notes and knowing whats going on in terms of pitch and duration is an important ability for a musician. Ear training helps you to read a sheet music without an instrument and knowing how it sounds.
If you are taking guitar lessons or piano lessons this app will be very useful for you. Playing piano music or guitar music is better done when you have a clear idea about music notes values and pitch.

Ear training is vital to understand music theory. How to play guitar or how to play piano is not just a matter of moving your fingers, it has a lot to do with listening and knowing what you are listening to.

Perfect pitch is not a requirement to enter a music school because there will be ear training lessons. So this app is something you must have if you are on singing lessons, trying to learn how to read music, studying music scales, playing violin music or reading piano sheet music.

This is the free version.

It includes twenty rhythmic lessons and twenty melodic lessons.

Each lesson is integrated by fifteen exercises and its worked in four stages:

ON THE FIRST STAGE:

- You will hear a musical idea and you will see two scores. One is right, the other is wrong.

- You have to click on the right score.

- At this stage you will see animations for the notes and the beats to help you recognize the right score.

- You can repeat the exercise as many times you want before clicking on the right choice.

- If you click on the wrong score the exercise does not advance so you can hear it again and recognize the right choice.

ON THE SECOND STAGE:

- Same as the first stage but now each guess only plays once.

- Each time you click on the right choice you get one point.

- There is a maximum of 15 right guesses.

ON THE THIRD STAGE:

- There is no more animation for the notes, just for the beats.

- Each time you click on the right choice you get one point.

- There is a maximum of 15 right guesses.

ON THE FOURTH STAGE:

- No animations at all. It all depends on your ear.

- Each time you click on the right choice you get one point.

- There is a maximum of 15 right guesses.

Great app. Love the note practice. I prefer the piano spund. The other sounds are distracting. I gave 5.stars but there should be a choice between sounds. I think that if it could.be adjusted in the settings that would.be a plus.

The entire design of the app is poor. It is buggy in that a lot of the buttons seem to create interactions that they shouldn't, such as when I attempted to access the level A rhythm section the language changes. It never records your language in prefs, it is just poorly made

Since I didn't think counting was important for beginners in my lessons, I truly missed out on learning. This app is helpful in relearning the correct beat to what I see...please read the instructions 1st..lol...in the beginning I didn't know how many answers were wrong, but if you keep playing, the higher levels let you know!

You have to pick between 2 answers, but one doesnt follow the step motion, making it trivial even for someone in an entry level ear training class, even the hardest exercises this app offers are painfully easy

There is an ad smack in the middle of exercise 2C. After the ad, the app freezes.
