Earny: Shop & Get Money Back

Horrible! Wasted time setting up and waiting for authentication, once got it still couldn't get passed the continue screen for syncing accounts. This could be a scam just to get your info and credit card information since you have to login with ur Amazon account. Do not download this app!

I've used earny for 2+ Years Earny is not what it used to be atleast for me. 1st I can't cash out on my own! I have to send a email 1st very inconvenient but the worst is that I've used the app about 20 different times for ubereats and not once do I see pending cash back!! I've already reached out and was giving a email to send proof of all transactions. Still nothing. It's been a month.

Seemingly there are same issues with linking amazon account. So.why not just put the solution here instead of everybody sending emails about the same thing. I too am getting error message when trying to link my account. I'll be.deleting app if a resolution isn't available

Thought this was a great app and a great way to get cash back. I've been over 2 months now trying to get my cash back paid out. I won't be using this app anymore since they can't respond to their email requests. So very disappointed!

This app didn't work for me. I tried putting in my Amazon password multiple times and keep getting error messages. I even changed my password on Amazon to see if that was the issue. Still doesn't work so I'm uninstalling the app. This app should be completely removed since ppl are complaining and nothing is being done

I thought this was a gimmick but it's so simple and easy to get cash back after making a purchase. I linked my primary credit card and regardless of what vendor I use it on Amazon, Walmart, Costco,.....etc I'm getting a refund if the price goes down. Pretty cool if you ask me. *Update, it's not a free app. Constant reminders to sign up and upgrade. I idea is great but charging a monthly fee does not appeal to me.

Being on a super fixed income, this app has been awesome! I have had problems keeping it linked with Amazon and Facebook but, hey, I'll keep relinking because it's so worth it! Update. I realized that Earny stopped saving me anything on any cards. My debit card was stolen so I have a new number and I've added it to the app, as well as my joint account with my husband, and all our credit cards. It's been months since I've had any savings, every single time I check, Amazon is disconnected?

At first, the app didn't seem to actually get money back for me. However, it recently got me $10 back on a couple of purchases. If there are any extra steps involved like calling to get a price match number (a one minute process), it alerts you. I wish it could work with my Target grocery bill, too. Maybe one day. So far, it's been a pretty good experience.

Launched the app because I was notified I had money to be claimed, but the app isn't working properly. The app worked fine the last time I used it about a month ago. Now it won't move past the home screen where you sign up or log in. When I tap log in the app crashes. I've cleared cache, and storage in app settings and have went as far as to uninstall, reinstall, and restart the device with the same results. What gives?

Although I've not gotten rich, I find that every penny found helps when pinching pennies. I'm still trying to get the hang of why some purchases get picked and others don't, but appreciate found treasures. Have had to uninstall, then re-install the app twice, when it simply stopped working. Not sure why that keeps happening, or why there is NEVER an adjustment to Amazon purchases, of which there are many. All, in all, the app 'seems' to be doing what it should...

Before i paid for the annual service, i was constantly getting emails telling me all of the price drops it was finding and how much money I would get back. As soon as I paid the fee, it hasn't found a single price drop. It keeps telling me to link my card, but won't link the purchase. This app has been a complete joke worst thing I ever got spammed into trying. I'll be canceling everything and deleting my account and just be out the $40 I spent, not realizing I did it in the first place.

So far, Earny got money back on 2 items from Amazon, for $4 and $5. I initially had trouble linking my Amazon account, but obviously, it links correctly now. Also, not all my credit cards are available to link to Earny, so, it was showing I didn't complete that step, until I added a card that had price protection. But now that I got some money back, I'll stick with it, and see how it goes.

It doesn't act always. There are two price drops for 3 days and Earny hasn't sent any email to the retailer yet. One of them went up again and the opportunity of getting refund is gone. I'm not sure for continue using this app for a long time. I will keep it for one more month and see how it works. update: they don't offer the version which takes 25% of the refund. Based on my experience with this app the refunds, most of the times will not even cover the subscription cost. Return is super small

I thought this was a great idea at first, until i never got any cash back for any of my purchases. The ball started rolling from November 2, 2018 with all the automatic emails sent out to stores, but now it's January 7, 2018. I will wait one more month to see if things will start happening, if not, I'll just uninstall this app. My purchases are mostly from Old Navy and Amazon. I heard this is very only benificial if you shop at Target. I don't.

The ONE price adjustment I did get, Earny only notified me of. It wasn't as easy as "copy and paste" as they claimed. So, I did all the work just for Earny to charge me a fee because "they" saved me money...then it took money from my bank account because I got a gift card refund. Sorry, Earny. There are other apps that monitor price changes for FREE for the same amount of effort. As soon as I can figure out exactly how to delete my account, I will!

I saved $4 on Madden 2019! I have gotten money back a few times from Earny. Usually it's simple. You link your credit card& then when you make a purchase if the price drops within the time frame, Earny gets you a refund. Easy. But if you also pay using gift cards, or promotional credits (like Amazon or BestBuy offer)... then Earny thinks you paid a smaller amount& later if the price drops you will Not get a refund because of inaccurate payment info. So it's not perfect... but you Can save money!

This app is weird, after several attempts to log in it finally does it. The next time you try it won't log in on the computer where you need to do most maintenance of your account. No phone support besides logged in from previous attempts on phone still logged in there but nothing works properly. Someone isn't doing what they are supposed to be doing. Ibotta is a better app to do the same thing Earny is attempting to do. I'm SO frustrated with this app and it's inability to function properly.

Got me back some $. Too bad my stupid Chae cards canceled price protection. But it helped me get $ back in other ways. Edit after Earny changes: I'm not a fan of the subscription thing. I understand it's a new business model because the company needs consistent flow of income. but as a consumer, this could be a hit or miss thing depending on your shopping habits. for a casual shopper like myself, a subscription will not work for me.

Works great. I was able to successfully get compensated for 5 orders on Amazon so far, each time with $10 promotional certificate. There was only one instance where my claim was denied. It's easy peasy. Copy the script and chat with amazon customer support and you get your compensation for delayed shipments. I haven't tried for other stores , but for amazon the process so far has worked seamless. Will try for other stores too going forward. Makes a lot of sense in covid situation.

What happened?! This app and website used to be great!! Not so much now. Won't load and that's if you can get logged in the website. Trying the app one more time.

UPDATED REVIEW 6/14/19: They've removed the %25 commission option and now only have monthly subscriptions. I've used this service for 15 months and it saved me less than $60 (not including commissions). So I saved an average of less than $4 a month. The cheapest subscription plan is $5 a month if you prepay for a year. So this service is officially a rip off, which is a shame. It used to be a nice safety net before they overvalued their product. Don't bother.

I paid way too much for this service. I rarely get a claim accepted and, such as my latest, the info warny provides for claim reimbursement is incorrect and I need to go and find the correct order number and date. I have repeatedly tried to contact Earny to cancel my membership and after initial contact I receive no further follow-up. This has happened 3 times. The best thing I can do is hope I get enough alerts that are remotely correct to cover the cost of the ridiculously high membership fee.

What a great app! Love that they monitor all my Amazon purchases for price drops, and then they do all the work to get me a refund of the difference!! Would be awesome if they expanded to cover more credit cards. **update** I am pretty bummed that Earny no longer submits the claims for you, but its still a pretty valuable service. There have been several error communications sent from the Earny team, but I guess there is always growing pains when changing processes.

money back, how great is that? update....now app is charging monthly fee. Probably not worth it unless you make enough money back from your purchases to cover your monthly subscription. It was way better before they charged monthly fee. I don't mind giving up a small percentage of what I was getting back. therefore only 3 stars now. sorry!

I feel duped. I tried this to check for any possible refunds. I was excited when I was notified of one. However, that quickly disappeared when I kept getting emails from my credit company for additional information to receive my refund. So much for not needing to do anything on my part. In addition, after I cancelled my account, I am still receiving emails from this app. Definitely not worth using!

I uninstalled this app, but keep getting notifications from it, wth?!?! Very annoying and frustrating - I've searched my phone to clean any reference to it, but at least every few days I get a "secure" notification from Earny (shows the logo etc), I enter the secure folder and it's ole Earny asking me to login or sign up! If I close it, it if course disappears because it came from a "secure" folder. I can't locate it anywhere and have no idea how I'm still getting the msgs. Worst spam app ever!

Uninstalling the app now that you have to pay as well as give Earny a cut of the savings. I liked the app a lot back before it had a regular fee. Wish it would go back as it didn't save me enough money to justify the fees. If they bring back the old non-fee option I will happily re-sign up.

Can't sign up - Can't sign in I downloaded this app with an open mind and in a positive mood and left feeling frustrated and annoyed. I attempted to sign up with my email address, did not work resulted in error. Signed up with Facebook, did not work resulted in error. I figured hey, maybe I have an account. I tried to login; error. Sorry to leave one star but this is very frustrating

updated review. I have recieved no help with my issues. Thanks for responding to the review tho. Refunds are shown as pending and processing for months and never go through. I deleted app after months passing with no refunds. unless I'm the best bargain shopper around I find it hard to believe all my purchases didnt have price drops.

Great idea, pretty bad execution. It doesn't work the way it's intended & seems to be plagued w bugs. I got a few bucks back, but my latest refund is still stuck in 'claiming' & has been for 3 months. My Amazon account keeps getting unlinked, it won't accept my cc info for the extended price guarantee coverage & the cc selection list available for price protection is ridiculously slim. Emailing customer service has gotten me an automated response the last two times w zero follow-up & no resolution to the issues I needed help with. I logged back in today, found my Amazon acct info has been kicked out AGAIN & my payment cc was disconnected AGAIN & decided that I'm done messing w it until they work out their issues.
