EASA PPL Exam Tutor

EXCELLENT! I passed all of my exams with this app. Contains everything I needed to know appart from weather chart symbols but i think that's the only thing it doesn't cover from my experience. The questions are VERY realistic and it's a great app even though it is quite expensive because books cost about £30 each so really it's a good investment. Allows you to sign in on multiple devices.

Very useful. The questionbank pretty much matches the exam database. There's one thing to point out though, which is that more than a few questions and answers are quite poorly written and it makes the whole thing unprofessional at first sight. Things like "due point" in meteorology, for instance. Other than that, it's a really comprehensive tool for the PPL exams. I'd like to thank the developer for their time spent making this app!

Even though I'd like to see some more functions and a slightly more streamlined design, this is absolutely fantastic! Absolutely 100% worth the 20£. A flash card function would be awesome, giving you those questions that you're unsure of or answer wrong until you reliably get them right(like the app "Cram"). A more detailed index would be nice too and a shuffle function so revision doesn't always start at the same card. Still absolutely 5/5 and highly recommended as an addition to text books!

This was a really useful tool when revising for the old paper tests, helped me get many 100% results. Unfortunately since the CAA switched to the new online tests with an updated bank of questions, this app no longer covers everything you need (I went from getting 100% to actually failing my last exam - flight performance and planning) Also, some calculations are incorrect which can be confusing, for example there are questions around centre of gravity which are not right.

Good value, easy to use and to the point. But some topics are not detailed enough and some areas could have more questions, so you will need a bit more than just this app. But defo a good top-up to use before sitting an exam as most core areas are covered.

I appreciate the effort to provide an expanded question bank since the new exams are in place. It's unfortunate though that not all answers to the new questions are correct, and that the information given when you get an answer wrong is just the original full text of the item being tested, instead of an explanation of why your specific answer was wrong.

In comparison with PPL Easy Pass, I wouldn't say this app is worth £20 to unlock all the content. I did so apprehensively. Not overly impressed with the level of content/detail provided or the wording of the revision material. And for £8 less you can have all the same information on PPL EASY Pass, presented on a much nicer graphical background. If I could get a refund I would unfortunately 🤔

I used this for Airlaw and Meteorology, I am now on operational procedures and some mock questions surrounding windshear have the wrong answers. I have tried to email, but the email was undeliverable. Really disappointed in that. I failed my operational procedures exam on these same questions. Very annoyed.

This app is excellent and I only have three exams left to sit. I would like to see a feature where I can tick exams on the home screen I have sat and maybe add my CAA score. The exams can often be carried out over months or even years and seeing which ones I needed to study next in the app would be really helpful. It really is a five star app I just reserved my last star in case they add my suggestion.

Some answers are incorrect, or lack correct answer. Author is ignoring feedback. There are gaps in revision material, most notable in meteorology section. Navigation is broken in some places (just don't use back button) Nonetheless, it is most useful "on the go" application for UK PPL theory revision.

Email address doesn't work. I've just started studying with this app as an assistant. I've found too many errors so far and answers which are clearly wrong and conflict with the explanation. Still very useful and easy to use but not as your sole study base.

Passed my Air Law exam thanks to this app. I've been using it alongside the Pooley's Air Pilot's Manuals. The question bank is spot on and and up to date, and you could probably pass with the app alone, although I strongly recommend getting some textbooks to provide some understanding rather than just memorising answers. If used properly, as a study aid rather than a main source of information, it's faultless.

PPL tutor was exceptionally good at helping me prepare for my PPL exams. I used it in conjunction with the Air Pilots Manuals. I found it excellent because I was able to practice anywhere (even in the cinema during Toy Story!) I passed all my exams with at least 90% and I would attribute that in large part to PPL Tutor. It is not sufficient on it's own as it is limited on in-depth knowledge, but as a supplemental tool it is brilliant. Thoroughly worth the £20 or whatever it was to purchase.

Love it so far, I haven't finished the books yet as they are dense so I started with the revise section of this app and so far it looks great, not sure if it's enough though to pass the exams, I'm watching YouTube videos and reading from the book as well to get a better understanding of the subject.

Great bank of questions. Purchase required to unlock all of the App exam topics. Great study aid but will not teach you the subject matter depth. It will help you pass the exam. Great tool. Having purchased it seems I can't use on multiple devices. Overall, very good App.

The app itself is good, but as the new syllabus is being rolled out (in scotland), none of these questions or questions related to what is being taught in the app are part of the new syllabus. Its a good basis to start revision, but I still need to heavily go through poolys books in order to pass the exams. A little disappointing considering its £20. Just a warning to anyone away to start their ppl and being told its the computer based exams they'll be sitting.

On the whole, a very useful revision tool, but... My only issue is that the questions don't align with the syllabus perfectly. Some questions appear to be on topics not covered in the approved text books.

I have only looked at the air law section, as the rest is charged for, but there are questions in there that no longer reflect UK law, as they are out of date. might cause confusion if used as primary progress checker.

Very helpful in preparing for an EASA exam. However, as of early 2021, the rules changed and the question bank is no longer taken from the Pooleys exam guide. Instead, you now have to study the book and even then, some questions aren't listed in prepatory material.

Always seem to get the same questions. Not enough variety over all the sections of air law. App crashes a lot

Ppl tutor has made revision for the exams so much easier. I have also read the pooleys books beforehand and recommend anyone else getting their ppl does the same. However this app has turned my knowledge learned the books into a pass grade in exams

The app is pretty smooth and is a great revision tool. Although I can't change my choices in the timed exam sometimes, causing my score to drop.

I like the app, but keep finding mistakes with answers / revision material which sometimes make it a hindrance more than a help. Shame.

Terrible, Had my air law exam today & took a pre test before the actual exam, never even seen half the material on the pre test which suggests this app doesn't cover the full syllabus! Just wanted an app to cover what I needed! Do not buy in my opinion!

worth every penny... makes it so easier to understand. I would reccomend buying ppl exam books and do the test on the app few times and after you are comfortable with the results, test your self on the books. Just Do It

DO NOT rely on it for understanding the full syllabus in detail. This is an exam preparation app, not a study app. However, that it what I wanted so it gets 5 stars from me.

Easy to use, well priced. Need review of updated material, fx class F space was removed 2014, and some grammar review is needed to be clearer.
