The EASE App uses 3G, LTE or WiFi connections (when available). 256-bit encryption offers online banking-level security for all patient communication. With the click of a button, patients are able to add the family and friends they want to keep informed and relaxed throughout their medical procedure or hospital stay.
Encrypted texts, photos and videos are sent by your medical team through a secure cloud-based server and disappear after 60 seconds. EASE App allows NOTHING to ever be stored on any mobile device. In order to receive EASE Applications updates, your medical provider must be signed up for the EASE program.

Useless! Never worked. Notifications would pop up hours late and then I click them and they never open. TBH it had me more worried that I was missing important updates! Thank God they still have the person that comes and gives you updates in person bc this app was completely useless!
Pretty much useless. The messages sent had no real information. I'm sure the staff wouldn't use the app to announce complications. Twice I received notifications, but was unable to see any messages. This was the worst bug. Adding family members was cumbersome. No way to interact with anyone. No obvious way to back out of the app. All in all it looks like an immature product.
A great way to keep updated for any medical procedures.
The app customer service was great. Answered right away. But, the app is only good if the hospital personnel update the progress, which the hospital did not in my experience. Left in the dark and no one updated it. Worth a try though, maybe your hospital will be better at updating the progress, but for me it was a waste of time.
It was nice to feel connected a bit better with what was going on. Used the updates as screen shots & was able to forward them to others. Really like it. Gave me something to keep me occupied as well. Updates were great. Thank you for all you do, Deborah (a retired RN 😉)
Absolutely love this app. It really helped ease my mind when my baby boy was in the NICU. I always looked forward to seeing pics of my son in the early AM & late PM, when I'm unable to be with him. It also has a really neat feature where you can add other family members to be included in the updates, which makes everyone happy especially during COVID.
i guess we will never know. it wont even let me accept the end user agreement. it keeps saying the wi-fi connection doesnt exist and suggests i check it or use my phones mobile service. the wi-fi checks out fine but i tried using the mobile service which just kept hiving me the same message.
It keeps you updated and I even got pictures of my son once he was in the recovery room. The only down side is that a day after his surgery it was still connected and I could resend invites. I was thinking it would go back to a home page after the surgery was completed but it didn't, so I had to delete the app.
This app was pretty much useless for me. Once I had it up on my screen, I was unable to use any other function on my phone. To get out of it, I had to restart my phone! After having to do this several times, I just gave up. Never have had this problem with any other app, so I believe this is a glitch with the app itself. Too bad; the premise behind this app is a good one.
Love it wish the hospital where I work used this. I was informed every step of the way.
This app is awesome! The only suggestion I have is maybe letting the people know when discharging will approximately be because my hospital relied on this app so much that they didn't call until I asked them to. They asked me if I was using the app and if so my ride was advised. Which is incorrect. My ride was only advised that I was in recovery which doesn't necessarily mean I'm ready to be discharged. I don't think that they should rely so heavily on this tool even though its amazing!
Excellent and timely information on my wife's surgical progress. The app works seamlessly, but in truth is only as good as the nursing/surgical staff's commitment to open communication. Fortunately, our experience was stellar.
We have twins in the NICU and loved being able to get updates when we weren't able to be there. However, the app will show that i have a notification and when i open the app, there is nothing there. Kinda frustrating...
The experience was amazing! It shows off the advantages of technology by showing photos and videos keeping us up to date every step of the way. It really made me feel at EASE no pun intended!

Abysmal. Notifications don't arrive until you check for them, and go away 60 seconds after you open them. The notification that you've been added to someone's contacts comes as an SMS text that looks like a phishing attempt that you shouldn't go anywhere near. Gave it a bonus star simply because with COVID there was no other way to get any updates at all on my brother's surgery. UPDATE: Revoked bonus star. No room to explain, but app failed miserably. Even hospital staff were unimpressed.
It's a bit buggy with notifications but otherwise works well. I was getting the same final notification every once in a while for 2 days after my daughter's surgery was already over.
somewhat useful, but dumped midevent. Also, to let a family member share, their contact info must be stored with Google. Cannot assign a contact on the phone. so, in spite of the good words about privacy, you have to already dumped privacy...SMH.
This helps so much! During surgery we had full up to date exposure to what they were doing. It help put our minds a little bit more at ease (hense the name lol) but no this is a truly amazing app! Thank you so much ❤
I downloaded this app to get updates while my cousin was in surgery. I never received a single update the day of surgery. Three days after the surgery I got a notification that the doctor had ended the updates. This would be an invaluable tool if it worked properly.
This app was terrible. It would have been great if it worked. My mom was having surgery and the app never updated with information. I live out of state and it would have been nice to know what was going on with her surgery. My brother has at the hospital and tha app didn't work for him either. Very disappointing.
I first used his app for my daughters surgery. Its fantastic you know everything that's happening once your child is in the OR. As a parent you will always worry weather it's a first surgery or 100th, but this helps easy the worry a little by providing information and your child's status every step of the way.
App does bot load. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Can't get past the terms and conditions page vecause menu functions and screen drag do not work.
This is so super cool" in time of fear, aggervation, and feeling helpless this app really is a big help just knowing every step and the progress along the way it provided some comfort and that means sooo much during hard times i would say to anyone feeling like this "get this app
It was a wonderful experience. Wish I had thought of it for family inclusion for updates. Very inclusive and compassionate. Demonstrated continuity of care and allows for staff to focus on patient while updating the family. Appears to be a time delay when things are actually done, but, better to take care of the patient and then share the information. More specifically concerning when and where the patient is/being sent and where the family should be after the procedure
Texts were not sent as described, you must open app and look for a message, which are not very often.
