Easy USB Tethering
Features:
- activated when USB plugged to a device that needs data connection and not in the case of a mere battery charger;
- very small amount of memory required in the target device (about 50KB);
- open-source (GPLv3), so you can build your own APK with the source code at https://github.com/double-m/easy-usb-tethering (using both Gradle and Maven);
- no advertisements.

It does not work! USB tethering is STILL greyed out!! Useless app!!!!

Wanted to turn my phone into usb storage do I could transport my ps4 save games to my buddies house. Not recognized by the system but other than that it is a stable app that does stuff.
This app does exactly one thing, and it does it well: It takes you to the tethering settings screen automatically when you connect a data USB cable. No special permissions required, no ads, free, and the logo is even nicely done. Thanks for making this!
I wanted an app that automatically turns on USB tethering. This app only pops up the setting. But it is the best out there.
Has a description that it opens settings automatically, you click "got it" and nothing. No internet access at all for PC
Worked *exactly* as advertised on my Galaxy Note 5 running Android Lollipop 5.1.1. Very convenient as my provider, T-Mobile, only provided a shortcut straight to the WiFi tethering settings. This app takes me right where I need to be to activate USB tethering, without the need to go into settings and select the right system menu manually.
Best one over there, I makes the steps one shorter by directly opening the setting instead of the app first ...... check, home and KABBBBBBBBOOOM, you are done Thanks man for this great app
S3 crashed every time when trying to turn hotspot on
Worked perfectly on Galaxy S8 until the update to whatever the newest version of Android is called. Now rarely does anything.
As soon as I check enable usb it says unfortuately settings has stopped and closes. What am I doing wrong?

All it does is open the Wi-Fi app already on the phone, I can do that myself.
It actually stopped the original usb tether from working

It works. I couldnt find usb tethering setting on my tablet anywhere i looked, and this app found it in a single click. Now my tablet acts as a usb wifi dongle, very cool
