Here you’ll find everything you need for a successful vegetarian diet - loads of quick vegetarian and vegan recipes, easy to use shopping lists and lots of helpful vegetarian information at your fingertips.

The Easy Vegetarian App was created by the people behind hurrythefoodup.com, namely Kat, Dave and Hauke. Over time we’ve built up a great resource of quick and nutritious vegan and vegetarian recipes.

Our goal: making the switch to the vegetarian diet as easy as possible. We think recipes should be enjoyable and not a constant source of worry or second guessing. So, of course, we needed an app with easy vegetarian recipes too!

ALMOST 200 VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN RECIPES!

You can choose from close to 200 vegan and vegetarian recipes, more added every week. Most of them are done in much less than 30 minutes and are very nutritious. Best of all, we love high protein recipes, so you’ll find many of those as well.

If you're already a seasoned vegetarian we’re confident that we can surprise you with a couple of creative vegetarian recipes you haven’t come across yet.

That being said, we work with a team of professional chefs to develop vegetarian recipes that are exciting, easy and come out great.

This is what our recipes will help you with in a nutshell:

- easily make the transition from meat to meat-free
- get all the nutrients you need (yep, especially protein and other essentials)
- make vegetarian cooking as easy effortless as possible without sacrificing the taste

ABOUT THE VEGETARIAN DIET

The vegetarian diet excludes the consumption of meat (also poultry and fish) as well as any by-products of animal slaughter like rennet and gelatin.

The vegan diet goes one step further and removes all animal products from the menu, meaning meat and also dairy, eggs and honey.

Roughly half of our recipes are vegan, the rest includes dairy and/or eggs.

GOING VEGETARIAN IS COMPLETELY SAFE AND HEALTHY

The American Dietetic Association says an appropriately planned vegetarian diet including vegan diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. With that opinion, they’re in line with Harvard Medical School as well.

We keep a close eye to their guidelines when developing our vegetarian recipes. That doesn’t mean there are no “naughty recipes” on our app, but our focus is mostly on the healthy side.

I love the recipes so much I signed up for their challenge! The app however, keeps crashing or telling me I have no internet access when I do. Also, I tried to contact you via your email and it came back as undeliverable. EDIT: Wow! Extremely responsive and fixed the problem right away. I also forgot to mention that they add new recipes almost every month, too.

I really like the website this app is based on, but it's a bit slow in my phone, so I hoped this would be a slightly easier way to do the same things. But there are several features of the website it seems to be missing - filtering (eg to show vegan recipes), changing the number of portions to get corrected ingredients quantities, switching between US and metric measurements. The recipes themselves are good - my rating would definitely go up if these bits could be fixed.

Not many single ingredients show up by using the search function. For example, mozzarella has one recipe. Polenta has none. It would be nice if the recipes in each category of breakfast, lunch, and dinner were in alphabetical order so it would be easier to find something specific you're looking for. The vegetarian and vegan 30 day challenge isn't available. When you click on the 'sign up' link it takes you to a website that is currupted and is just a page full of codes and nothing else.

Haven't tried cooking anything, so I cannot speak as to the quality of the recipes (amateur cooking skills notwithstanding), but most dishes look quite delicious just from the pictures. Each recipe has an estimate for preparation time and nutritional information, and you can click on any one of the ingredients to add them to a shopping list!

I love this app! It includes hundreds of recipes with nutrition facts. You can look for breakfast/lunch/dinner/smoothies&drinks/dips&sauces/appetizers&snacks/dessert recipes, and gives you the option of saving your favourite one to have them handy. It has made my life much easier by allowing me to find recipes fast and check nutrition values for a healthy and balanced diet.

When I run out of ideas on what to cook it's a good source of E Recipes to turn to. I have decided to cook scrambled eggs with cheese for my Breakfast which has very little carbohydrates indeed. Which is good for me as I'm watching how many carbs I have in a day. And good when watching your weight. And to keep watch on Blood Glucose Levels that Blood Sugar Levels are stable range and not too high or too low. I have to be careful with hypertonic or hypoglycemic episodes and stable blood sugars

Very lovely app if I would be able to actually read it. The don't is super small - while I use increased system fonts (which the app clearly doesn't respond to) - and in the recipes half of what I'd need as ingredients falls outside the screen. Not very accessible then, hence can't properly use it.

Really great app with diverse recipes. I love that it displays nutritional Facts, otherwise I would not have pursued it. I would like to see more uniformity on telling u what a serving size is. Some recipes have it some do not. Other than that amazing! And thank you !!!

Good range of recipes especially for a beginner vegetarian. I notice a lot of the meals are very high in sugar and saturated fat though, make sure check the content before you class it as "healthy".

Can't add recipes to a list so it's pointless. I would like to have a list of favorites (which is listed in the app but not set up yet, I guess) or lists of recipes I want to make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Will uninstall.

Absolutely love this app..great tasty recipes that are easy to follow and can use ingredients from one recipe for another which saves money...always good. But best of all is the shopping list...makes it soooooo easy. I don't have to reach for paper and pen..Love it..thanks guys.

The first few pages of 'dinner' recipes are just baked potatoes and you can join a 30 challenge to eat veggie food BUT PAY $50 to do it. The easiest challenge is to not bother with this app, I guarantee you'll all win and it's free to join

I'm considering becoming vegetarian and this app is a great start. The only thing that would improve it is to be able to search recipes by ingredient. I have allergies to peanut and sesame, and to be able to filter recipes with those ingredients would be a huge help!

Sorry, the app is bad. It doesn't use material design, and it looks bad. The user experience is also bad. It randomly crashes, and the UI is not intuitive at all

I haven't tried recipes yet, but when I'm reading the recipe it cuts off the bottom part, not sure what it says, I have an up to date phone! Would be great to add your own recipe to it as well!!

This app is great! The only thing I think would improve it is if you could search by macronutrient content. Eg if I want a lunch with 20g of protein, show me recipes that match that, would be awesome :)

Very nice app! Some recipes are also accompanied by YouTube videos, but generally the description is very simple to follow. It is the second day that I use it and I must say that I am very happy.
