Here it is 2022....the app is even worse. Whatever you do, dont purchase a device tgat requires the Easy BBQ app. Review from 2020.....Every time i open the app it goes thru this start process that takes a long time. However, sometimes ill get a pop up saying its running but if i dont quickly click on it then it goes away. The start procees continues to go but nothing happens at the end. If i click on the pop up then it opens the app but it doesnt connect to the device.

Works well, give it all the permissions it asks for and make sure your phone's battery saving settings aren't killing the app while it's in the background and it works reliably.

I like it works great! Would like to change the time interval in the graphs section. Also would like a wifi version so I could go inside house with out disconnecting.

I'm works but as an app it's pretty abysmal. There's a persistent notification that says "EasyBBQ is running"...why not just put the current temperature in the notification? Why doesn't clicking the notification being me to the app?

Totally lost my use of this app with last update. Had this app and thermometer for years with no issues. Like, zero issues. Now it's a paper weight. Ugh!

App no longer connect to my few year old probe. ( Use bbq go ) I look it up on Amazon and this is the app I'm supposed to use, but the newer version no longer will connect via the Bluetooth. I can see the device on my phone and on my computer. However, I was able to use the ink bird app called BBQ go and it will find my probe and connect just fine.

The app is as solid as the device. I've used it on the regular for a month with absolutely no issues. Syncs up right away and doesn't lose connection or freeze. My only complaint is having to scroll to see all the Temps. I'd like to see it all on the screen without having to scroll. Otherwise the interface is very intuitive and easy to use. Love the custom temp settings too.

Solid app with room for improvement. Once set the temperature profiles have to be adjusted by the +/- button. A keyboard input would be excellent. And the ability to edit the names of cooking profiles after they've been set would be great. A typo means you have to delete the whole thing and start over. Also a temp history would be nice as well as the ability to see specific temp/time combos. I disconnected earlier when I went to the store and I've lost the temperature history for this cook.

History resets after loss of connection. It would be nicer if it saved the information for the day or had a reset button or something instead. For long-term cooking it is nice to see rise of temp over hours; however, when the connection is lost for a brief period this information is deleted. Also, it would be nice to be able to scroll back and forth on the time line or zoom in and out.

When it works, it's great. That's the problem. When the app disconnects, you lose all the statistics, and on my Samsung Note 10+ there are certain apps that will guarantee disconnects. Launch/switch to Facebook sitting 3 feet from it? Disconnects. Launch Gmail? Disconnects. And it randomly disconnects for no discernable resaon. It's very frustrating. It's disconnected 3 times while writing this review.

Originally, I would have given this 5 stars. It worked perfectly on my Samsung S5. Thermometers work very well and are really accurate. However, I just upgraded to a Samsung S10 and now it won't update the temps and tell me when temperature is reached. It does not lose the bluetooth signal according to the icon, but temp will not update unless I close the app and reopen. I agree with other posts...app needs updated! The app makes a very good thermometer worthless.

This app works perfectly for me. I'm about 40 yards from my smoker. I do get notifications it disconnects but this is irrelevant because the app reconnects immediately... I just turned the app drop notification swicth off in settings. Of course you would want to leave the temp alarm settings on. Also don't close the app while its running. As long as the device is on and the probes connected it shoukd reconnect to your device right away. The cook history is perfect as it immediately reconnects.

This app has the right idea, very poorly executed. For example, it allows you to plot temperature. But only 1 temp line per graph. So, you can't look at cooker temp & meat temp simultaneously, you have to switch back & forth. If you started one of the probes in low ambient temperature, too bad--now your chart axis will be messed up and no zoom in/out either. Lastly, if you like seeing temp history of your entire cook, too bad--this thing crashes hourly and the charts start over each time.

App crashes constantly and this resets the graph. Speaking of which, it doesn't adjust the scale nor is there any way to set it manually. Tried reinstalling but no luck. The scale was set at 70F to 250F. Not much use when I'm cooking at 350F for an hour or more. Returning. Unfortunate because otherwise the unit itself is nicely made. If the app actually worked I'd be keeping it.

The only reason I purchased your device over another was because of the phone, the other had a 2nd receiver I would have to carry around. The distance advertised on your item is off and whenever the phone is out of range, the app crashes. Once it reestablished connection, it alarms out then crashes. I am within 20' of the device as I type this and it has alarmed out and crashed about 6 times. DO NOT BUY ANY DEVICE THAT USES THIS APP

I see some people having pairing issues. I found that if I turned on the BBQ device and the screen was illuminated then I started the app and pressed start on the app, (all while the device screen was still illuminated) the app connected to the device immediately. A Also make sure your phone isn't connected to something else and the blutooth setting on your phone is on before you try to connect. Hope this helps ya'll.
