Pros: Lots of fruits and vegetables to choose from! - even things like nuts, grains, flowers, and algae. Graphs, pie charts for more visual people. Cons: Some lag when adding items. Overall, I love this app. It really encourages me to be mindful of eating a variety of plant-based foods each day. I look forward to finding new colors to add.
Easy to use and encourages variety. Find myself actively thinking about what colour foods I haven't eaten yet and trying to not just focus on those that I eat as a staple of my diet. Plus it makes me ridiculously happy to get a rainbow and a star!! Only thing I dislike is the inability to delete or change a food if you click it by mistake. Then find myself trying to eat something within the colour but not adding to tracker to keep total right... Oops, yep, swiping to right deletes.
This app has really helped me not only increase my vege intake but also the variety too. Love that it's colour based not portion size or calories (which are frankly boring ways to motivate people). My meals look colourful & inviting & I find myself trying to sneak in some extra colours if I can. My only gripe is that it can be a bit slow to respond & it only lets me choose one item from a colour before going back to home page. A widget so I can see today's rainbow would be helpful.
Excellent! I was wanting an app like this that takes the focus completely off dieting, and places it on feeling good about the variety and health of food. It makes eating healthfully fun and informative. Also helps me think about, and find, foods I may be missing, or forgot about. Keep up the good work! Thank you!
I really like this app and it's very easy to use. However there's a certain lag.. Its slow to open menus and if I stop it would likely be because of this slow responsiveness. If the devs are listening... Are you able to fix this? Amazing! Thank you!
This is the best health app I've ever used! It makes it so easy to get your fruits, veggies, and so many much needed nutrients that will enhance the quality of your life. I've also been losing weight since I started using this app and I haven't even had to count calories! I can't say enough good thinks about this app. I simply get my 10-15 colors of the rainbow foods ready the night before, and the next day I incorporate them into my diet. Highly recommend this app!!
It's got us all eating loads more fruit and veg, especially my 3 and 7 year olds. All I have to say is "if you eat it we can put it on the rainbow" and they agree! They've started counting it for themselves now and swapping to fruit and veg snacks from usual favourites. I thought I'd tried everything but this is so simple and so effective!
This app is AMAZING! I have learned so much about every food and what it offers in my diet. I also love that you do not have to pay for a membership or anything of that sort. However, I do wish that they couldve added more meats and eggs to it. But for a whole foods plant-based diet, it works perfect!
Really good app. It's a bit slow and clunky to add foods though. It would be lovely to see some features like being able to quickly add common foods, or see recent foods first in the search, or to multi-add foods. Edit: The update is amazing! I love this app, so easy to use and looks nice. It's true what they say about nutrition being more than just calories, very forward thinking in terms of nutrition. If true health is what your after, then you can't go wrong with this app, you can only benefit from eating the rainbow. I get my kids involved aswell, as they want a lovely coloured rainbow. I haven't seen any ads either which is a bonus. Thanks developers 👍
Not quite detailed enough to be helpful. I'd like to be able to log actual meals or multiple amounts of the same foods. It also only let's you log whole foods not things like pasta, sauce, etc. Like the idea just wish it was taken a few steps further.
I have been using the rainbow app for a week now. I like a variety of food one can find on the app and the graphics and the list of recommended fruit, vegetables or cereal for specific skin problems, hairs loss, himune system improvement, etc.
Okay so I usually don't review apps but this one is honestly perfect for me. It has great amounts of information, is easy and simply to use and quite frankly adorable. It makes eating all my nutrients so much easier, and helps take my mind off of over complicated diet theory. Amazing!
I like this app. No calorie counting, just plant based foods and variety. I wish you could add foods to it or change names. Being able to have multiple family members would be great, for kids. It also is a little slow on my Galaxy S9. Overall great app though.
Amazing!!! It makes you become aware of any food colours you haven't eaten yet and it's a fun way to prompt yourself to try vary your food to complete your rainbow! I'm using it for myself but I have already recommended it to a few friends, especially if they have kids, I think it would be a fun for themmake sure they eat their fruit n veg 💜
Great app for helping recognize what colors of food might be absent from your diet. UI could use some improvements. Sometimes when adding foods to previous dates it will add them to the current day instead. I would love to have the option to add additional foods that aren't in the list. Or the option to add multiple foods at the same time such as those that are frequently part of the same meal.
