I am frustrated with your services. I was previously using the old version of your app and everything seemed to be swift until when I was primpted to update into a new version. Since then, I have had a rough time initiating simple transactions. First the app is very slow. Anytime I initiate a transaction, they respond with an error message that "Let's try again!!" With who????. I am vehemently disappointed with the people behind the management of this App.
I'm a frustrated client. The App does not open, on attempting to open, it collapses back. This started when my phone prompted for OS update. I have tried to uninstall & reinstall the app but nothing seems to work. Restarting / switching off the phone doesn't work either. Please advise.
Terrible customer service experience. Very frustrating. I have been trying calling customer care several times with no assistance from their end. And the funny thing is they put me on hold while my credit is running out. This is bad. Please improve your customer service, otherwise, Im opting to sign out from your services completely.
Very unreliable. It's been frustrating. The app takes too long to respond and upon responding, it just fails. Another thing, it's very hard to get notifications. In most cases i end up paying twice for goods or services since i don't get any notifications regarding my transactions. Please can you fix your app. We are losing alot
I worder if there's anything being done to fix the December update (version 2.3.2)... I have reported issues via all the possible channels for weeks now but still nothing happening. The app is unusable full of bugs just revert back to the previous version before you take your sweet time to fix the bugs. What's the point of having a version that's not usable.
I just downloaded the app, went to the sign up option, filled in the forms, then before clicking enter decided to check the 'terms of service'. Nothing on the tab that got opened. So I went back to the app thinking, I'll hit enter anyway, then come back later. But it's like leaving the app to read the non-existent terms of service wasn't something the app could handle. When I tried to hit accept I got a network error message returned repeatedly. I'm tired. It's midnight. Can't bother anymore.
this is a very nice app, easy to use and time saving on top of that. But it sometimes repeats transactions, like today I wanted to send some money to someone's MTN mobile money but the transaction repeated itself and I was charged the double of what I was supposed to be charged. this was like my second time experiencing this!!! I think I can even replicate the issue. kindly look into that!
I feel it could be of better quality First of all, it seems the UI for the app is quite inefficient. I have not been able to mobile bank with your app for the past week. I cannot be able to see my current balance on the display bar, your sequential automated verification codes are not in line with the action,and now since you cannot input the code manually, the transaction is deemed an error and session automatically expires. i've deleted and re-installed the app, nothing's changed. Frustrated!
My first experience with the app was awesome. The loading times was swift and very efficient. Unfortunately now is not the case. The app is veeeeeeeeeeeeeery slow. At some point it doesn't even load yet am using an Android phone with 6Gigs of ram. It's very disappointing. I've resorted to using internet banking instead. Equity Bank, what is happening? It's almost a year plus!
Very good app. However it won't work if your sim card isn't on the phone. This is a problem for travelers. Some improvement should include email code verification. Improve the app security features. For instance, in modern app it should be impossible to capture picture on 📷. Thi App is advantageous in many ways.
The setup process does not work. When you put in an account number and ID, the next screen is supposed to send a message that is supposed to be autoread from messages. This does not work because the message comes in but nothing happens even after the countdown goes to 0. Also, why not provide an option to enter the code manually? Not many people are comfortable giving apps access to messages.
i love this app and use it quite frequently without any serious issues. however, transaction messages after sending money through pesalink are useless as they do not show who the money was sent to, at least if using an account number, so it becomes difficult to prove that money was sent. the option to forward confirmation message also doesn't ever seem to work. otherwise, great app!
The app had been exceptional until September 4th 2021. I started experiencing a lag while transferring funds from the app to Mpesa so I decided to Uninstall & re-install. From there I've not been able to even login. It's a great inconvenience considering it's at the end of the month when people are supposed to be paying bills. Kindly work on it.
Pretty useless app currently. It's not up to date with the new android softwares so doesn't work (the app won't even open). The verification code is a good security add on though can only be verified by allowing the phone to do it for you(you can't type the code in), which in short can easily leave you stranded if your phone isn't able to get and apply the code.
This app is a summary of what a horrible experience is. You started out well and as an early product adopter, I was happy. However, along the way you started rolling out updates which made the app worse after each update. Now it has reached a point where it is completely useless. I have found myself going back to equitel SIM card, something I had completely forgotten about. Or is this a ploy to force us use the SIM card? 😠😠ðŸ˜
My experience with the previous app version was perfect. However, the new version with the security updates has many cons. Just as many have been able to observe, that verification text never gets read. I can't now even go past the step to register my account because the verification text is never read. Please rectify this. Thanks.
The app used to work perfectly well for me. I requested a replacement of my mobile line which however required that I reinstall the app. It has been so frustrating I have not gone past the activation stages. Visited the bank twice and the staff seems frustrated too coz they can't offer any solution. Tried installing and reinstalling ever since but the app seems to have given up the ghost. Very frustrating indeed.
The new update to the app is INFURIATING! You added a security feature that prompts the system to send a verification code for every transaction. This code however doesn't come as it's meant to. One has to keep tapping resend code but to no avail. The new update has just ruined the app for us who use it daily to buy simple things like airtime or pay for utilities. This is simply annoying impedes swift transactions. 😳😳😳😳 You don't even deserve a 1 star for it.
The app version is very customer unfriendly. The previous version was very good. The entry for the safe codes to the phone remain inactive and the customer has no way of verifying the transaction with the code as requested. The app self reads the codes off the phone at will. You have to try very many times for a chance that it will work.
Not worthy even a single star rating. This app just keeps on nugging. Since the update the app has not been functioning in my phone. Keeps saying network connection problem after several attempts of keying in the account number and the ID. No solution yet it has been 1 month of trial with failure. Work on the app for it to be compatible with all devices. I am just overwhelmed by this app
If useless needed a face this would be it. Always failing highly unreliable. Sending money, you debit the account but it never reaches the receiver. Also your customer care call centers are useless . You take ages to pick call and they aren't free. That's extortion. Your app is unreliable but more importantly your bank is highly unreliable. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone
Used to be great when it worked. Now it's hit or miss. Still a great concept but I'm not too generous when it comes to 5 stars. Update: downgraded to a one star. App doesn't send verification codes, won't allow me to make transactions without an Equitel line and doesn't work at all for Android 12.
The app is very useful when working well, but recently the following issues were noted. 1. The app has become slow in transacting irrespective of me having a good internet connection. Occasionally not confirming transaction was successful causing double transaction (paying twice for the same service) . 2. The home app is displaying recent transactions done e.g - 1000, date and time but one cannot get the details of where the money was going. Thats not good, we need details.
It is high time that Eazzy banking app developers provide us with another reliable app. Very many are complaining about unable to install it, I included. For months now, I have been trying to install the app but even with full internet connection, I always get this frustrating notification that, ' WE ARE UNABLE TO CONNECT PLEASE TRY LATER.' Kindly look into the root cause of this problem.
Let's be fair to ourselves, this app is horrible. Truthfully speaking it doesn't work. (At least not on my phone. Android 11 on Samsung A40.) You can't do any transaction. The screen just flickers and goes back to home page. Then from a design point of view, why are there 2 overflow icons (those 3 dots) of which the first one doesn't work. I reviewed this app when I first set it up and even my edited review 2 years later still gives 1 star.
