Ebitcam

A mixed bag. The hardware appears to be fine, but the supporting software is weird at best. I get the impression that the developers change X, and don't test the change. Recently, I've had an issue where of my four cameras, I could only switch between two before I got a black screen for the video feed.. only resolved via a restart of the ebitcam app. And today all feeds are black, regardless of what I do. Come on EbitCam, get it right.

works well overall with a few small bugs. If the camera won't connect due to the server being down or no internet access you have to search for local devices; it's not obvious how to switch between internet connected and local device as "find local devices" is buried in the menu. occasionally (rarely) disconnects and won't load the feed; see above...

Worked great for a few months! Then suddenly one day it just stopped working. It shows me the picture on the preview screen but when I click on it to maximize the image and play video the screen is black. Let's me move the camera around but doesn't show me a picture. Works fine on a laptop but that doesn't help me when I only use it on my phone! Not sure why it randomly decided to stop working but I'm not happy that I wasted my money! Throwing this POS in the garbage and already bought a new one

Worked great when I lived in my previous apartment, but since moving to a new place, I haven't been able to connect at all. 😕 I go to create a new device, enter my wifi info and do all that and then it just goes to a blank screen

As with previous reviews, the app has suddenly started failing. A factory reset of my phone had no positive effect, but after half a dozen install/uninstalls it's finally started working again. Not sure if the developers have fixed anything but it's good again... For now.

I accidentally unplugged it from the wall, and now having the same issues as others. It will NOT work thru + device,nor reset. I have followed all prompts, and getting nothing but a red light. No voice prompts. Constant drips. What a waste of money.

The app used to be awesome and the camera was a great deal! Now it won't allow me to access the camera settings which means I can't configure the camera to the orientation I need. My entire view is upside down. I used it for over a year and loved it. Now....not so much!

The app does not receive any notifications unless it is currently open. That makes the camera and the app useless, because you will not receive any notification if somebody breaks in to your house.

Used to be able to zoom-in in any part of the screen when viewing recorded files. Now, you can't. It's frustrating, the view keeps reseting to the middle of the screen whenever trying to view the up, down, left, or right part of the screen.

I am disappointed, after reading customers reviews on amazon site i decided to buy your camera, i noticed that you are reading your customers comments and reviews and when ever there is an issue you are very helpful, i gave you 2 stars becuase your app is user friendly and easy to use, installation as well is straight forward, but unfortunately the system doesnt work properly; the screen get blocked, there is few seconds lag, sometimes the camera moves randomly, the night vision suddenly stops from working and if there is no light you see just dark, my toddler woke up and crawled to the edge of the bed, the camera was on but no notification received, the notification setting is always on. if there is a fix please let me know, otherwise the camera is shock proof so it maybe good as an expensive door stopper.

App doesn't work well with Huawei p20 pro. Notifications barely come through and every time you load the app it's asks you to update. So if you want a quick look, no such thing as it takes at least 30 seconds to get in to look at a camera, which is very critical timing if someone is breaking in or assaulting your property

Router is in basement, Im in 2nd floor. Didnt work so I tried to connect to wifi extender. it wouldn't. tried plugging in ethernet cable from camera to extender, BRIEFLY worked and now its disconnected and cant see the wifi network anymore. I've spent 1.5 hrs on this. Such a waste of time.

The app is so bad that I will not buy another Ebit product in the future. You cannot even send them in-app feedback because that feature is "under maintenance". Desktop app is the same. IOS app does not work anymore. Not even their website is working as I tried opening the downloads link to see if there's a new verion of this s**t. Stay away.

How can I make schedule alarm so it does not make alarm sound all day but only at night? How can I make f300 camera stop turning to wrong places bit be fixed? No help in the app. Enigmatic checkbox and settings you need to guess what they mean. No way to record to your own cloud storage (e.g. Dropbox or Google drive. Only to the manufacturer servers!

The cameras are pretty good quality - I have 7 of them. The software could be improved, however. I have my smart home set up through Google Home, so it's rather annoying Ebicam supports Alexa, but not Google Home. Please add Google Home integration!

Can't see live stream anymore. It shows all cameras briefly, only to replace ALL stream images with the grey mountains and sun picture. The live stream is just black, even though its showing a good data rate connection. The app is now useless.

One day the 1080p one just stopped working and I literally tried everything (factory reset, delete all reinstall.. Etc) and nothing is working. It just says that it can't connect to network, even though I'm on the 2.4 one.

Attempts to download or view recorded video often fail. Software is just not reliable enough for any serious use. The camera itself is poorly made, and failed after three months. A waste of time and money.

used to work alright, now as soon as i try to add the camera it says the app encountered problems and exits the app. then it reopens and does the same thing over again. useless. tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting the camera, nothing works.
