eBoard | Observer MOBAARS
Like the standalone eBoard | Observer™ app, this is a powerful tool for capturing audio/video, location data, and your expert observations of important events and activities during complex training, practice, evaluation, or adventure activities, synchronizing all of them for playback/review using other tools. This edition is designed to work with HPAtoolbox MOBAARS tools.
About MOBAARS...
MOBAARS (Mobile Observation-Based After Action Review System) tools allow you to efficiently collect your observations and other data using mobile devices and sensors; and extract and transform that data into useful information that can be used for individual or large group AAR activities, and can be included in other analytical processes.
This MOBAARS edition of eBoard | Observer is designed to interact with MOBAARS server-based processes via WiFi connections, providing simple transfer of new eBoard templates from the server to your device, and easy transfer of completed session data to the server, from which it can be included in web-based AARs. If your activities are conducted in geographically-large areas, you can establish multiple WiFi routers as access points to your MOBAARS server network, and the app will employ intelligent connection logic to move your data to the server using the best connection available.
eBoard Technology
Based on technology used for years in complex aviation, military, and law enforcement training, our eBoard applications use a powerful template-based approach for organizing training/evaluation objectives and possible events of interest. Any template can contain your own or other expert-created hierarchies of training/evaluation objectives, performance value choices, and reference images and descriptions. Each template entry is the basis for a possible observation -
- a marker -
- that can be recorded and synchronized with the recorded audio/video and location data, with as little as one click on the screen.
With appropriate templates, eBoard | Observer MOBAARS can be used for a variety of training/evaluation disciplines, including team and individual sports, construction inspections, classroom teacher evaluations, and transportation safety, in addition to the areas in which its more complex predecessor systems have been used.
Included in this initial version are several sample (but not expert!) template excerpts that you can use to get started immediately.
