Downloaded this to get an e book through Caledon public library. Caledon directs you to the website for this purpose but wanted to try the Android app. Of course, caledon isn't on the list. The only Ontario listing seems to be North York regional hospital. Totally useless for me.
The app easily allows me to checkout ebooks, but I receive an error every time I try to download them for offline use. I tried reinstalling the app, but that did not help. The app is useless to me if I can't read the books offline. This app needs some serious work!
The app couldve been working just fine but its such a huge hassle that after I try signing in, downloading the ebook I need, and clicking "read now", the moment I try to go back to my bookshelf automatically logs me out ALL THE TIME. What a waste! Please fix this to make the app more convenient. Until then, I'll be uninstalling it for now and would be sticking to my desktop. Thanks!
Poorly built app that does not allow even to adjust font size/ text reflow for reading. UI & experience is far below than of similar apps. I don't understand why academic audience and institutions have to accept substandard tech services when best are available in the market? I have to use this because university library subscribes eBooks from EBSCO.
Every time I attempt to open a book the program crashes. I have had this program for a while and will drop it soon if this book reading app cannot open books.
Ridiculously bad app for such a powerhouse of knowledge to put out. The app crashes multiple times, the note feature doesn't work well, the magnifying feature gets stuck and makes it impossible to highlight passages. The worst is an to zoom in on the whole book unless you use the standard pinch setting from android, in which case you have to zoom in on each page. Plus anytime you re-open the app is has to verify you. Having an actual sign-in capability would be awesome so that I could access and swap between ebooks easily. You're ebscohost. Do better.
Just like the rest of the reviewers mentioned, it pretty sad. Biggest issue is you can't change the font size -- which one would think is a pretty basic function of a READING app -- so almost useless on a phone. If they could fix that, it would be passable but as is not so much.
Print is way too small and for take of two cities would not let me zoom in. Even then reading would have been too much trouble for each page. UNINSTALLED
App is horrible no printing option, don't small, app crashed several times, this is the only way to get an ebook through my university.
Often has blank pages and app needs to be restarted, sometimes this helps, often it doesn't. Nearly useless. Highlighting may or may not work, depending on the book.
This app is way too glitchy and you cant change the text size and it stops workig whenever you open another window or turn the page.
I can't read the book I loaned. This app is useless. I have the pixel 2 and it's the latest phone on the market. Horrible application
Had to make an account to access a book for class. Fine, that's okay. The print is insanely tiny and I can not find a way o make it a decent size. Will change my review if I figure out how.
The app is not working. I downloaded the book and moved it in ebsco folder And it took too much time extracting. Plus, the app closed itself several times.
needs to be fixed.my college makes me use it and it always doesnt work or pages of books wont show up
Worst ebook reader I have tried. Chrome works better. Can't even adjust font size. Page flip way too sensitive. I hate that my library made a deal with this product.
I can't search for a word in the ebook. It shuts down the apps saying unfortunately the app stopped working.
Every time need to find and login to get to local library. Can't read ebboks in my folder.
Just a poorly coded app. I could probably do better.
Just doesn't work. Won't download books, and anytime I click something it crashes
Second attempt to download succesful. Yay! But then the pages were invisible. This app is in serious need of improvement.
Utterly useless. My library is on the app but it refused to connect to it, even after having registered on EBSCO. Disappointing!
Just bad reading app, the way it handles flipping pages, zooming, and everything is just so bad
Ummm ... what is this app supposed to do? I have a company-provided subscription to EBSCOHost, but I don't see that listed as one of the supported Libraries. So, either this app doesn't do what I expected, or it hides that capability really well. Either way ... Uninstalled.
It used to be really useful, but now every time I try to open a book it crashes.
This app would be way better if it hadn't been developed by a sentient potato.
I am using a ps4 controller and am unable to scroll down when reading texts PLEASE MAKE UPDATE
