eCanvas for cross-stitch PRO

Wish you could change the size of the pattern after you've started a project. I got half way done a project before I noticed I didn't make the canvas large enough and had to start over. Being able to add back stitch and other stitches would also go a long way. Overall, disappointed I paid for the pro version and it's impossible to edit anything. 🤷‍♀️

This is a really good app; however, it is severely lacking in features which makes the pro version not worth it at all. The app could use a variety of things like the ability to crop the pattern after creation, especially if you do not quite yet know how big your pattern needs to be. Half stitches would be really nice and so would the ability to be able to move objects instead of having to completely redo. I was expecting this to be similar to PCStitch except for my tablet and was disappointed.

I really like the app, I don't have any issues with glitching or anything else. My only wish was that the developers would make it possible to "swipe" your finger across and cross off multiple blocks at once instead of having to tap each individually. If that feature becomes available I'll update my review.

Doesn't work for me! I import my pic, go thru the steps & upon tapping on the done button it gives me the page where the pattern should be, but there's no pattern...only the pic. When tapping on any of the button options at the top of does not change! The only options that work are the grid options! It shows no symbols whatsoever! Makes it kinda hard to do this piece, ya know! Ridiculous!! And no way to directly contact the developer in the app either! Have to come back to the playstore. 😡😡😡

I think this is one of the better cross-stitch generators out there. It offers several options to really transform the image to a usable pattern. I only wish that there were preset sizes or specific pic shapes that could selected. I primarily work with hoops so it would be nice if I could automatically crop the image into a circle.

EDIT: Having a developer reply with "you're wrong" makes me want to use this app even less. Can't believe I wasted money on the PRO version. Original review: I used to love this app, but they've changed it so you can only import from another app that doesn't exist. I used to be able to import and locate any PDF on my device but now it only expects files to be in a folder that doesn't exist so I can't even import patterns anymore.

So far this App has been great on smaller designs. Love the fact that instead of printing off pages and pages of patterns, I can work from my phone screen. It does get a little glitchy when zooming in and out of a pattern when they are first made, black patches appear.

This app is rubbish. Whilst I can convert a photo to a cross stitch pattern, I can't print off the pattern, or list of colours, or symbol key in/for the pattern, and the control bar is missing. I am uninstalling it after leaving this review.

I can't figure this stupid app out. I select the color and symbol then it doesn't appear on the pattern. Everything is just white. It will not let me assign the color to the stitch. There's no tutorial. The help button tells you what the tool bar means but that is no help at all. Not user friendly in the slightest.

Good app. One suggestion? I had to replace my phone and the app transferred but my half completed project did not. Fortunately I did not trade in the old phone so I can use it as a tablet as long as it's kept plugged in because the issue was a battery problem.

love this app. would love to see the colors updated faster with the new released threads. also a back stitch and no stitch options would make the app even better. I'd also like to be able to move what I've made over or down with an area move option. love the simple design and ease of color change and how to add the color.

I like this app, my only complaint is the print sizes in the end. A 280x157 pattern ended up 13 pages. The squares are fully visible in much smaller sizes. And A4 paper is slightly bigger than standard printing paper most people would use. I spent so much time adjusting the printing sizes just so I wouldn't have to work off a poster xp. 02/21, second complaint, every 10 squares has a darker line for the pattern as it should, but once printed the darker lines are off by 2 squares.

I do extreme projects, over 250+ colors in one project (even for a single stitch--matters to me). This is the best app that I've found that let's me use the FULL palette of DMC colors. The ease of use is a really big factor. The only complaint I had has been addressed and is no longer an issue. 🙂

Great! But...other stitches aren't available. They are just as important as full stitches for making patterns be the best they can be! I do love this app, though. It'd just be nice to have more stitches, at least more than one, considering you have to pay for pro. Which isn't much different than the free version, but still better.

I like this app but one thing that would make it better is the ability to use back stitch. I use back stitch constantly in my designs and the inability to add that to the pattern makes it difficult to use this app. But it's good for my little designs.

It's ok. I wish there was a back stitch option. Also, I'm not sure how to save a work in progress to be able to finish making the pattern later. Does it save my progress as I go along? I'm afraid of closing the app and losing my progress! Someone please help!

I like this app so far. I just wish there were more options. I would love it if the max size of 900 stitches was increased so i could make bigger and more detailed patterns. Also that other stitches were available like half stitch, quarter stitch and back stitch. If these changes were made, i would be so completely happy and would recommend to everyone.

Good app. Just not all that I need. Different stitch types is a game changer for me. Do regret getting the pro version. And seeing as other reviews commented on this same issue back in 2019 I don't think it's going to be added. So will uninstall. Wish it had that option would give it 5 stars if it did.

Can't believe I paid for this. Tapped the colour I wanted (the option of searching by word would have been helpful too... who is going to know what colour each number is??) however when I went back to my design which is a custom piece I wasn't able to apply any colour other than a black cross! I want my money back!

I really like this app. Would be even better with the option to have no stitches in certain areas instead of lots of white showing up on the pattern.

I've used this app to produce about a dozen patterns for my wife and she loves them, however we have found some of the resulting DMC colours are no longer available. Please update the colour palette.

Something I think would make this app even better would be the introduction of interpolation settings, such as nearest neighbour when importing patterns you've already optimised in such a way that each pixel is a stitch.

Paid for the full version and love it, working on a huge project and it's keeping everything organized, easy to see what I've completed, love the thread legend.

Great app! Would recommend to anyone who wants to make their own cross stitch patterns. Would be nice to have an option for the template to be round.

I have the paid version of this app and I use it A LOT! I have multiple pl projects going on at once and this app is a lifesaver. I'd like to ask if you can please add in a click spot on the "threads" tab so I can enter some kind of value to show whether I have this color or not. If i had this it would help me avoid buying colors that i already have at home! Can this be a thing please?

In a blank canvas, i can't get colors other than white. Also, i'm unable to save it. The share feature doesn't work. I want to print my chart but cannot.

all together a great idea, I just wish I had the choice to do different stitches, like a back stitch. i may be dumb and can't figure out how to do that though.
