Can't save a picture to your photo gallery. I've never seen a photo app that doesn't automatically save to your gallery. I got the Look to share my looks on social media and also because I sell clothes online. I thought it would be a great way to get a full length photo and simply upload it. But you can't which makes it pretty pointless.
Taking the picture works just fine and good quality. I have a Motorola MotoE2 (4G-LTE)Android 5.1. I was able to transfer picture from my phone to computer once. Now, when I open or when I go to "Looks" to see and transfer pictures, it almost immediately says Echo Look is not responding, do you want to wait or close. Sometimes it asks if I want to report. I haven't tried the Styling Assistant. I do not see a PC option to use my laptop instead of my phone as the processing device. I really want this to work. I would be glad to rate it 5* if I can get the photos onto my laptop for use. I have found no other information doing a web search.
Amazon, you are a multi billion dollar (I'm guessing) company, and you can't even make an app that works right? Every single time I try to use this app, I run into problems. It either crashes or, thr camera won't open, or it won't connect. Fix it please, I really want to love this product, but the app is just terrible.
I loved this device and app. I was on a waitlist for over a year because it was invite only. My fiance finally was able to get it for me for my birthday. Now it's less than 3 years later and as of tomorrow my $200 device won't even work as an Echo. This is absurd. The option given was to send in the device for recycling. It's a slap in the face. I have a few Echo devices, but if this is how they're going to treat good customers I'm not purchasing any others.
Very frustrating app if you have more than one user. Keeps sending my wife's pictures to my look app. I didn't even want to install the app, but it wouldn't let my wife take pictures , kept saying you are in a household, the household must agree to terms, install the app. Wife confirms she is in her account, the alexa recognizes her voice, yet photos come to me. Useless.
The Echo Look device and app worked perfectly for me! I would like a free replacement Echo Show since my Echo Look device is now a BRICK! I have Alexa devices throughout my house. If I don't get it, I'm switching over to Google. I'll sell the Echo/Alexa stuff on Ebay. This is obviously something they feel they can do anytime with any app or device that isn't profitable. Little consideration is made for folks who have invested time and 💰 money in/on Echo Look!!!
Updated 12/29/19 . Still Can't find the folder to extract picture files. Share option doesn't work. Not compatible with Android 10.
The app works as intended. It was annoying having to deal with the intro video more than once though.
would be nice if this feature worked with Show, or Spot - have both of those. Don't want yet another device for this. Or, good forbid, they just make it work with your phone. They could still still you clothes.
To reconnect to a new WiFi after move, I had to unregister the device! After unregistering the device, I can't reconnect! The device says it's connected, while the app says it belongs to a different account! What the hell?
The app just straight up doesn't install on my top of the line android phone. Got the echo look as a gift, just threw it in the trash.
Ok for taking voice command photos but product and concept ended a failure. I paid $200.00 when 1st came out.Amazon got rid of them for $49.00 Oh Well we all learn.
I don't understand the value of just cutting off service for this app & device rather than just ceasing to support/update it but still letting users make use of the camera.
I enjoyed my time with my echo Look. I'm sorry to see it go. Amazon sent a free Show for replacement, but it's not as much fun.
This was a $200 device that's less than 3 years old, the least you could do is unlock it so we can repurpose it. This is ridiculous.
Never had any trouble, love it! I use it at the store and at home, works perfect.
This appearantly is not Android 10 compatible. Not happy with it not support at this point
Cannot save pictures to my phone!
This smart camara is Awesome please don't discontinue the echo look is Awesome
Really want to speak to Amazon regarding Echo Look and no response...so 3 stars
Amazon provides zero info with package how to install? Can not install from Amazon 10 inch HD fire Half baked product sold to public to pad up sales
I'll use Echo Look forever.
It does what it says!
The app keeps stopping it's working fine the suddenly says app has stopped working. Have to keep re booting very frustrating!! Please make an update to help this. The pics are great when working.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and it works perfectly. Everything works as advertised
It DOES work on Android, folks! Make sure you have Android 5.0 and above. I have Android 7, Look works fine on it. I bought this for 2 reasons. I don't want to set up a full length mirror in my bedroom or bathroom, and now I have something far better than a mirror! Second reason: it's a very, very entertaining way to help the 3 and 8 year olds to get dressed for the day. I love the new Echo Look, and this app works great on my Galaxy s8.
I recommend the app because you have to have it for Echo Look to function. I'm not that pleased with it however because there's a time lag. Unlike taking regular selfies, the picture you see is not real time. This happens more the farther the Look is from your wireless router. The Echo Look is terribly difficult to figure out. Then, after you do teach yourself how to take the best pics, you have to find them. I'm not going to try to teach others what I know, but chances are, I will return this very expensive piece of hardware and stick to taking selfies with my mobile phone. Geez!
Works as advertised
I have wanted something like this for ages !!! I wanted to use w my Amazon Fire tablet, but couldn't. Probs synching w/LG Trakfone, then next eve just worked when open. A few times echo said "Alexa is not acknowledged by this device". Phone photos too small. I need better wifi, returned. I will try buying it again later. I hope then we will also have app for tablets and home p.c. also !
It works well. The biggest deal, and it is PAINFUL, is saving an image. There is a huge list of apps to share them to... almost none of which are at all useful. I have to text them to myself and then save from my SMS app... it seems there could EASILY be a "save" option from the app. If that were possible, and it wasn't a multiple step process to make the images useful, this would get at least four stars from me because the rest of the app works great with my Echo Look.
