Echo lets you keep a list of every single one of your prayers. You can add as many prayers as you want, organize them into groups, deleteold prayers, and even mark prayers as answered so you cansee how God is working (and remember to thank Him!).
REMINDS YOU TO PRAY
You can easily set up push notifications or emails to remind you to pray for individual prayers, or even groups of prayers. Reminders help you engage with God throughout the week, even when you find yourself busy with life.
GIVES YOU THE SPACE TO PRAY
Echo gives you the ability to "Pray Now" which gives you a clear, focused way to pray. Choose what you would like to pray for and optionally set a timer for how long you want to pray.

THE STORY & MISSION OF ECHO
In February of 2006, Ben Rugg decided to turn away all of his freelance web design work and begin developing a prayer reminder service. His intention was to create a web application that would help him and his small group keep track of their prayer requests and remind them to pray for each other throughout the week. After working solely on this web-based service for three months, he launched Echo Prayer.
Over the eight years since that launch, Echo has grown to nearly 20,000 users across the world, sending out close to 100,000 prayer reminders a day via email and text message.
After co-founding Clover (a company that makes websites and provides online donation tools for ministries and non-profits), Ben and his business partner, Jim Elliston, had been hoping to start a re-development on Echo. Their goal was to create a modern solution to the same problems Ben faced with his small group in 2006. Unfortunately the demands of running a business forced Echo to be a side project for the past eight years... Until now.
Echo's number one goal is to help people pray.Whether it be to simply keep track of prayer requests, give space to engage with God, or simply help remind people to pray... Echo is a tool to help Christ-followers engage with God.

I really like how slick this is. I think it would be really awesome to have an option to categorize prayers/create categories within the list. My big thing is when you're in a prayer you can see "add photo" and the x on the photo. I feel that should only be in some sort of editing mode because it takes away from the aesthetic and flow of the prayer note. Another suggestion would be to add color themes for customizable options but it's nice as is. :)
I don't mind paying someone for there work, but I think the subscription for all the features is quite ridiculous. I think the app is useful, and an aid, and done well. I think the subscription is a very poor, and inappropriately motivated choice. Let me pay $3 - $5 like most apps, not $3 in perpetuity, and I may feel different. But it won't be back on my phone, until then.
Great app, but the subscription is a major turn off for me. In order to access the special features you need a monthly subscription. I would rather pay a one-time fee to unlock everything like most other apps have things set up, but a subscription is asking too much. I want to give this app more stars but the subscription part is a major problem. I would totally pay for this app, but only a one-time or annual payment.
It's great to have a list for all my prayers on my phone. Unfortunately when I set up random reminders for prayers, the app always picks the same prayers over and over again. There are prayers on my list that never pop up unless I select them manually. Additionally, when I open the prayer my screen it never "times out." My screen will stay lit up until I lock my screen. It only happens with this app.
I actually thought I enjoyed it but I have a few issues. I can't seem to switch to am when making the alarm. and the thing won't even set off an alarm. and for some reasons some hours in the day can't be selected like 2:00 am. that's my usual time with God. I am not reminded most of the time and I can only pray in the evening when I seek praying to God as many times as possible. I thought it was good but I was disappointed. my suggestion is to make ALL THE TIMES available and fix the alarm pls.
I really like the idea behind the app, but the reminders are not showing up. I installed it this morning and set it up with several reminders throughout the day. The first reminded appeared about 40 minutes after it was set to appear. The second one has yet to show up. Would love to give this a better rating if the notifications were fixed.
Didn't really fill the need I had, but it does look nice. Runs pretty good. Just didn't offer me what I hoped for. WORD OF WARNING If you signed up for the $.99/mo subscription, canceling your account doesn't cancel the subscription. It didn't notify me of this and their customer support didn't inform me of that when I asked. You need to go into "My subscriptions" to cancel there. I didn't know that. That's on me. I'm only out $.99.
Really love how this app keeps me organized and encourage others! Love the notification to friends option each time you pray for them to encourage them. There are some functionality that would make it even better: 1) access and sync from the web 2) read notifications more easily instead of having to go back to each one after openings the prayer to read replies, comments, etc. 3) export feature for those who don't have the app but want to to participate in the prayer
Plese help! I love the concept of your app. But I keep writing out prayers, clicking done and sometimes the prayer updates and sometimes it doesnt. Ive spent 20 min or more writing out just what I want and then it disappears. That is so frustrating. Im careful not to hit the back button, so its not that. Why does this keep happening? Please help. I would love to be able to use this app regularly. Also I am connected to my home wifi.
Great app. I find that when I write down prayer requests and go back and look at them after a while, I'm reminded of people's needs once again. A few added features/suggestions that I'd like to see as a user... 1) Ability to set a reminder to pray for something that will notify everyone in a group 2) ability to have different message feeds for each prayer in a group 3) ability to restrict editing of other peoples' prayers or other people editing my prayers in a group 4) group admins who can edit all prayers even if a person exercises #3 5) ability to add people by their phone number 6) ability to have more than 25 people in a group Thanks!
Edit 29.01.21 So happy that the app now works again! ------------ It pains me to put one star as I used to love using this app, but unfortunately it crashes all the time and you are unable to do much on it now because of it. If there is an update soon to fix the issue of crashing then I can amend my score, but have to be honest with the issues I'm facing at the moment.
During prayer, when im swiping to go to my next prayer topic, my screen will go blank. It will remain blank until i close the app and reopen it. This has happened the last 3 times I've prayed with it. The background green well remain and the menu will function normally, but app's home screen will remain blank so you cant even tap "pray."
I like writing my own prayers, and collecting prayers that I see that I like. Only problem with the app I see is for most of the other functions you have to subscribe @ $2.99 a month to use them... Sorry but I don't pay for apps, or buy stuff related to apps. Make it free and use commercials and short ads or something. That would probably help you out alot with getting more subscribers. Even have something where you are rewarded for watching ads.
So far so good. However the timer should be divided by how many prayers you have. I noticed that is a set time. For example to test the timer I set my 5 prayers for 5 min. I would assume that it was 1 min a prayer. It seemed to set it for less time and had them restart. So instead of praying for the 5 prayers once within the 5 mins, it seemed that the 5 prayers sped through and repeated multiple times within the 5 mins. I dont think most people pray in that manner. Maybe I missed something?
Really good app, really useful for reminding me to pray for people only issue is that it doesn't let you set reminders for any time in a day, only times after the current time. Like if it's 10pm it won't like you set a reminder for midday as an example.
I like the app but I think more can be still be done. It would be nice to be able to add each prayer point in a point Form. When it is answered then the "Answered" option should be relevant for each point not to the whole prayer group.
Just downloaded today as a group prayer app. Very nice! Biggest issue I see is the lack of filtering a view inside a group by individual members in the group. Major missing piece in my view. Almost gave it 3 stars due to this critical missing piece. Hopefully it is on the short list.
This app has been such a blessing to my life. While I do use it for prayers, the main way I use it, is for GOD to speak to me through scripture while I'm praying. When I read the bible, or a great devotional and it's something I believe will apply to my life now or in the future I will add it to my list of prayers. It's amazing how many times I've been praying for something and the verse, prayer, or devotional that pops up on the hour (I have my reminders set to every hour on the hour between 8am and 8pm) is directly related (and usually an answer) to what I was praying about. I believe that GOD uses this app to speak directly to me through HIS WORD and it has been such a blessing and, honestly, a relief to me to be able to hear from GOD when in the past I've just had to blindly blunder through the bible looking for answers. I also think that this should be something you market your amazing app for. I know that so many people long to hear from GOD and your app can be used for HIS glory and HIS purposes in other ways.
The App is a bit unstable at times. For example when I want to post a comment I get a msg saying "You don't have an internet connection" even when I do have. It hangs sometimes. I read a comment requesting "categorization" which is an excellent suggestion. Also to show date of posting a prayer request and subsequent comments. This is critical.
one recommendation: have an option that defaults to the group list when adding or opening the app. or be able to move a personal request to a group. otherwise, simple and effective. just what we need.
This is a good, simple app, but they recently changed one of the things I loved best. I used to love that there was no gamification, no "streaks" or points, etc. But now there is. So now if I miss a day, and break a streak, there's a little 0 at the top that makes me think I should feel guilty. And the app is getting more social, so I'm sure users are comparing their streaks. Now it's just another dopamine game. Which is shameful.
Almost perfect prayer app for me but one thing that frustrates me to do is to get notified of my appointed time prayer offline, which is what I wanted and I don't see the help of disciplining me in prayer time even I'm busy, I really wanted to get notified even in offline mode. Hope there's a way to fix this. But the rest are perfect except what I mentioned.
I was so hopeful that this app would let me manage my prayer list and share prayer requests, and I don't mind paying for that. But this app can't categorize our prayers or assign them to specific prayer days. If you have one or two HUNDRED prayers, you need a true MANAGEMENT app that divides them into sublists, etc.. In addition, the list of prayers shows no description so you have to click into each one. Not very handy and not very useful for me. Sorry!
This app would be completely perfect if only it had a dark mode. Please, PLEASE add a dark mode, even if it's just the same color scheme as the main "Pray Now/Add Prayer" screen. As I close my eyes to pray the blinding lights off the app shines through my eyelids haha! Yes, I can lower the brightness every time I pray but since so many other apps have a dark mode feature I really think it would help this app stand out and get more people using it. Thanks guys!
Hello. I have downloaded the new version and the app still crashes on my phone. I would love to be able to access all of my written prayers from the last 2 years again sometime. I click on 'pray now' and it says "Echo keeps stopping". Please help.
Unfortunetly, I'm deciding to delete the app. It's wonderful and simple. It worked straight for three days and I got the subscription. I can add pictures sometimes. When I do it says my internet isn't connected. I'm using my phone and when I restart it, it works fine. Then later it says it again even though my phone has internet service on it. The subscription amount is high but without the glitch I thought I may give it a try.
