God, I hate this app. It's 2021 when most of are studying at home, and it can't even cast videos to the Chromecast I bought for the specific purpose of watching lectures. The UX is so frustrating. It's tiny and unintuitive, like it wasn't designed for mobile. Why does the orientation change even with the lock. I roll my eyes every time my teachers' lecture links open this instead of YouTube.
Doesn't want to upload videos from my phone (Moto g7 plus, Android 9/Pie), despite the browser version allowing this perfectly fine. Edit: contacted developers and a fix was deployed within 24 hours. Excellent response! However, the app needs more functionality; the uploaded video appears nowhere within the app until it's moved into a course. With more ability to put uploaded video into courses etc., this could be an extremely useful app ... Following dev reply on this +1 star as goodwill.
Disappointing that live streaming isn't available via the app. Live streaming on the website uses an enormous amount of battery on a laptop so I tried the mobile app instead, but nope, not available. Live streaming via the website doesn't work on any mobile browser either - it just gets stuck loading forever.
This app is handy for watching my lectures on the train to work. I did have a previous issue with not being able to download my lectures online but somehow it fixed itself. (I had enough space but it kept stalling part way through the download).
Replying to a previous comment, the download option does work, but it required you to reopen the app with internet off. Supposed you downloaded content and then turned internet off, youll get a playback error
Requires opening of each subject separately in order to add it to the app, downloading for offline play doesn't work offline. Does not have audio only option. Please create RSS feed link like in old version so I can listen in my podcast app
Not all classes will show up on mobile app. App randomly shuts off. Extremely frustrating to use. Interface is too big and clunky.
This app in not reliable when you need it! It has failed on me many times, and I has damaged my grade. I do not recommend to download this app. I have contacted people that work for this company to fix it, and I get no response back. The 2.4 rating is well deserved.
Trash app. Doesn't use saved credentials from browser and makes you enter them manually repeatedly which isn't easy for a secure generated password.
terrible app. extremely slow, poor design and unfortunately the only option to watch course material.
Usually works fine, sometimes continues to play even when the video is paused and the app is closed.
No live stream function in this app. And the web version needs outdated tech Adobe flash which is not supported on Android.
excellent app has just done the majority of the stuff that i have needed 2 acomplish tasks 4uni study i have have heaps of diffictelies in opening againing access to the important matierals ive needed and has bridged most gaps so thankful for the app cheers
Logged in via college server. The app says I have "No sections in the this term". That's actually what it says word for word. Garbage
Both Echo360 app and website is garbage. No idea why universities use this.
Reasonably good. It would be so great if a casting option could be added.
adelaide university uses echo 360 but my university login is not from a "recognized institution." please fix your tech!
App won't log me in. I enter my email and then just sit forever on a blank white page.
Downloads doesn't work! A 10 year old can make a better app than this.
Not a bad app only problem is in forst semester it would open in second semester and in second semester it opens in first semester

It would be a 5 star app if I could cast it to my smart TV....
Streaming is poor when switching between videos. But the fact that you can only download one 'video' at a time (my school has two videos per lecture with the same audio for both), and the app is locked until the video is finished downloading makes it practically unusable. Even with both videos downloaded, switching between channels has a huge lag time. You need a 'download all' and 'download in background' feature urgently.
