The Echoes App allows you to listen to Echoes and Echoes Online (subscription required) and explore all the great Echoes content!
Echoes is a daily two-hour music soundscape, distributed by Public Radio International and broadcast on 130 radio stations from Maine to California. With host John Diliberto, a writer for Billboard, Pulse and other magazines, Echoes brings together a wide array of styles, from acoustic to electronic, jazz to space music, the avant-garde to rock. Echoes is a sound that is cross-cultural and trans-millennial, merging cultures and forms, technology and tradition, the ancient past and the possible future.
In addition to the many recordings heard on Echoes, we also produce interview features with popular modern music figures such as Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush and Enya, as well as less well-known known composers such as Dead Can Dance, Steve Roach, and The Orb. Echoesalso produces Living Room Concerts, live performances recorded in musician’s homes or studios and broadcast on Echoes. Concerts thus far have included Mark Isham, Steve Roach, Patrick O’Hearn, Ottmar Liebert, Michael Brook, Robert Fripp, Nightnoise, R. Carlos Nakai, Ancient Future, Sheila Chandra, Adrian Legg, Michael Hedges and many more.

Echoes is easy to use and navigate. The few times I have had issues I found customer service to be very responsive in fixing the problem.
The best exposure to new beautiful and inspiring music.
When logged in with my subscriber ID, the Echoes Online list is empty. When I'm logged out, I can see the list of programs filled in, but when I select one, it tells me I must log in. Relogin shows an empty list again. When I click on one of the things I can see, it tells me (in a black box) "This video cannot be played. Error code 102009" Useless.
I find the echoes app to be well designed and stable. It goes directly to the content without having to navigate through multiple menus. I like the amount of material they make available through the app and also feature their streaming service through the same app.
Wish the sound was louder, its very quiet compared to other music app. Thr interface is also a little clunky. But the content is excellent.
Not sure what is happening... Not letting me access much of anything. Could be a "subscription issue" . But no warnings on that either. LOVE The radio show, but I need to investigate cause of multiple issues.
Love the app for catching up on echoes or finding am artist of a specific song I enjoyed. The one thing this app is missing is the ability to stream to speakers wirelessly.
When opening the app, I get a connection error and Echoes won't connect. i have uninstalled reinstalled with no success. I love Echoes and hope this can be resolved.
I love Echoes! Been a listener of Echoes for about 25 years. Since I'm usually asleep when it's broadcast, this app is a godsend. So glad I can continue to hear the best music program in the world, and at my convenience!
Stable, easy to use app that quickly gets me to my favorite Echoes episodes. Use it many times a week.

Not really free, the free content (podcasts) is stuff only someone who would pay for the rest would want

works pretty well. no freezing. gives me a good range of options.

Have loved Echoes since I first heard it on KUNC in the mid 90s. Glad to have an opportunity to support them. The app could use Android Auto functionality and I would appreciate downloadable episodes. Other than that, I'm a huge fan.
