Echofon for Twitter

Echofon has started crashing I think it's because of the new changes to the Android Google Play Store security policy and the new updates to Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13 Operating System.

A very likeable client. Very fast and easy to use. However, in the latest update, "Mute" is not working. The muted user still appears in the timeline. When you check the details of that user to verify it shows that the user is muted, but the muted user is still displaying.

Update 4/01: Glad they FINALLY updated the app and fixed the bugs. I love the app, but those crashes and freezing was ANNOYING. Thanks for the update!! Since the latest Samsung update, the app continuously crashes and freezes. Please fix this bug, the app is great but with the recent crashes and freezes it has become a nuisance

Unpleasant to look at, likes don't show up, and most egregiously it overruled my phone volume being muted system wide to make a notification noise. No!

Not very good at supporting multiple accounts. For example when you look at a tweet from a list and you click reply, it doesn't let you chose which account you want to tweet from. Very limited. Doesnt let you open your lists upon starting the app. Just goes straight to your timeline

The app is fine but the widget will not auto update. Its not the only one mind you. I keep trying to find one with an auto update widget but it seems to be beyond the realms of science fiction. I have excluded it from all battery and system optimising but with no luck. Thanks anyway.

Recently moved from IOS to Android and the app is awful - would not use anything else for twitter on my iPhone and have used echofon for years but since switching to Android the app has gone down the pan! You can't keep searches anymore like I used to on IOS, I get notifications of completely random tweets, and the app keeps jumping to the most recent tweet rather than keeping my previous place. Looked in all the settings and it still keeps doing it. Very sad this isn't the same app as IOS :(

Difficult to Upload pic very confused poor user interface design, If you want to upload pictures You have to select images from many folders. You may be confused as to where the desired image folder is. The system won't remember which folder the last time you selected an image. You just have to choose again.

Terribly slow when opening app and trying to populate your timeline. Selecting Jump to Top usually doesn't work until about 15 seconds later. Other clients populate almost instantly. Also no option to reply or post from different accounts which is standard within other 3rd party Twitter clients. Has potential to be 5 star app but its been mediocre for many years.

Had to reinstall and the Pro version (which I've paid for) will not download and just sends the app into a blank spin. I like the clear format but the app is a but long in the tooth now. The available notification sounds are awful. No longer appears to be supported? Echofon has had its day?

connects to Non-Secure port-80 with Amazon servers ! Our phone/device does not allow any port-80 out for this app, its keep showing "No network connection" !!! (This app appears to be violating PrivacyRights). When app's dev will respect+implement Privacy+Secure features in it, then we will update this review. Thanks.

There's no way to like or retweet from your timeline. You have to click on each individual tweet to get those options. No way to turn off notifications & it's a REALLY annoying sound. Worse than the twitter app, uninstalling

It's ok, i wish you could alter the main layout of the tweets, there is a lot of wasted space. Plus needs a full screen display. Those extras I'd be happy to pay for.

Used to be a great app, but lack of support, and removal of features has left it lacklustre. The best feature was sync, but they broke that months ago.

Much, much better than the standard Twitter app/interface, though that's so horrible this isn't saying much. But by actually keeping tweets in chronological order, it makes the service at least usable.

Used to be great, but not anymore. I no longer get notifications when I've been tweeted, I've checked settings and access is given. Such a shame as before whatever update it was that ruined it, this app had been great.

Thought I'd give this another try since it'd been a few years and just to see if anything had improved since then. Nope. Still no auto refresh and still hard to view conversation threads. Echofon was my go to app on iOS for years but on Android it's marginal at best.

This app seems to be outdated now, no change in UI since years and lack some features as well. I hope they could make it at least similar to Tweetings and Fenix app.

⅓ of the upper part of the name in my timeline is cut off. When I try to switch to username only, usernames will be cut off. I like this app but it looks like this app hasn't been maintained for years.

Initially I would have given a high number but today anytime I try it says This item is no longer available. I uninstalled rebooted, reinstalled and got the same outcome Update Apparently twitter was down creating the malfunction as no other twitter app worked either The only thing I would love is a way to see only what people post not their myriad of retweets that has gotten out of hand so I have to unfollow my friends

Constantly crashed and now it won't open at all. Sorry to see what was once a great app go down like this. Uninstalled.

Seems pretty cool, but not practical for my use sadly. I have to deal with adverts, because there is no "pro version" in the store. My kanji reading is lacking so needs a translation option like the official app.

I love how it lets me write more than 140 characters however I hate that I have to dumb down the quality of videos (+ they have to be short) and also have to log back in and out every time I change my username. Otherwise its great and better than og Twitter.

Fantastic! No Promoted Tweets. No "Fleets" so far. And tweets appear in chronological order. Without echofon, I'd probably stop using twitter.

Use material design. Not Holo. We dont live in 2013 anymore. You keep the app updated. You have no excuse as to why you dont have this updated to material.

I like the app but the pro version has disappeared. Got a new tablet and can't install pro. Bring back the pro version especially those who have paid for it already

Great app until recently. Not sure when it started, but it's crashing on my Google Pixel.

Stunning! What Twitter was always meant to be before the official app sxrewed it up with algorithms. Echofon is hands-down the best Twitter client for Android that I've ever seen.
