It's a very great App but I've not been able to use it for the last 2 weeks, i can't do anything with it(check balance,send money or even read notifications). It keeps telling me to "check my Internet connection or try again later". It's very frustrating and caused some few inconveniences because of this. I've uninstalled and installed several times but still the same problem. I tried downloading on this new phone but I can't even complete the process 😞
Can you stop telling people to send their account details so you can help? I believe from all the recent reviews it's either the app has a problem, or has compatibility issues with the recent software updates. How is sending my account details going to help? It's been frustrating being unable to access funds using the app. Something should be done about it and quickly please. The app keeps crashing when it's opened The interface doesn't even show
Have just installed the latest version and can no longer login to the mobile app. The page requested for either ATM card or internet details after the pin which was done and the feedback is that the details can not be found in their records. The former version looks more reliable and user friendly. Am sure a lot of customers are also experiencing this challenge.
Very poor banking app. I noticed recently I'm no longer able to do transfer. Any time I click to select destination Bank It would be telling me "just a few more seconds" and Keep loading till I get tired. It's very annoying. You cannot be having a poor banking system and a poor banking app together. I'm so exhausted with this Bank. Don't tell me to send anything to else where. It's a general issue. Fix this ASAP. If there's a way I would have given it zero Star. Poor rated everywhere.
I think the issue I'm facing, everyone else is also facing same. I've been told I'm locked out of the app for putting an incorrect pin (which I didn't). I tried resetting my password but it was another whole issue. What was supposed to be waiting for 5 minutes for me to try again has now turned into days!! I'm unable to access my account now and very frustrated!! The Rafiki assistant was practically useless when I attempted contact. We need actual individuals to solve our issues, not an AI bot!
Middling performance What's the use of a mobile app is this modern time if it can't generate a simple"statement of account". I've requested it multiple times on this app, but I received nothing. Not to mention the selective transaction record that the app keeps. This app will find it important to record airtime recharge, but wouldn't record a transfer of huge funds. Who designed this app for goodness sake!
The App need to be upgraded I tried to open an account via the App. After submitting all the necessary documents successfully. I got to the last stage where I'm expected to scroll down and click on the toggle to consent to the terms and conditions... Unfortunately! I click on the toggle several times for days now, I can't proceed with the registration.. So frustrating. I used browser.. Same issue. Please fix this problem ASAP
Disastrous. Since i updated the app the last time, i am unable to login again. I just wished i didn't have to update the app. Keeps telling me incorrect credential details. Now i can't make transactions. Poor user experience I have done as you said.. sent my details to the email address and still I can't access the app. I really don't know rhe use of the app if one can't access it..
My experience with the app is very disappointing, the app does not smartly adjust to the settings of my screen. If I enlarge my phone's font, the app can't display the figures when using it. Pls quickly make a through update to your app, it's giving bad experience about your banking services as whole. I'm one of the most disappointed clients.
This app version has won the poorest in recent times. It's has gotten worst to the point that it can't even recognize my phone number with the bank. Each time I tried to activate after downloading the current version, the response is always requesting me to use my mobile number with the account even though I have used the correct one. Infact, am considering a transfer....
For several months now, I have not been able to activate the app on my new phone. Each time I try, I get a feedback saying my card details are incorrect. For goodness sake, it's the same card I have been using to activate before! Every version just seems to have its own challenges but this one is the worst so far
This bank is the worst among 'top banks' in the country! The least said about the app the better. A bank yet it's mobile app is broken for over 6 months, USSD doesn't work, Internet banking doesn't work, can't withdraw money from other ATM machines with their Verve card (even though I requested Mastercard when completing the form), can't complete online transactions either with Verve card. Have complained, zero customer experience. Completed online feedback form, nothing has improved!
I have an issue using the app. I have two accounts which I did not open at the same time, unfortunately the latter doesn't appear in the app. They told me they're being fixing the issue, but it is taking long.
It would be great if we had the feature to view transactions between certain dates. As a bank app I think that should be like a priority. You do have a feature that allows us to request for a full statement but I don't get anything about 90 percent of the time I make a request.
To be honest this bank app is useless at the moment. Existing users cannot login due to "failure in sending OTP's". I made a complaint, even sent them an email. They replied with "the app is having issues with delivering OTP and it would be resolved soon". It's been more than one month now and nothing has been done. I still can't access my Ecobank Mobile App.
Very useless app. I installed it on my new phone and couldn't activate the device to login. Telling me my phone number cannot be found on any ecobank account. Went to the bank for assistance on two different occasions yet they couldn't resolve the issue. You better remove the app and let us know u people do not have a mobile app.
Rubbish app. You can't get past creating a profile, try as many as you can. It seems to be the complaint of many on this thread and Ecobank has done nothing to fix it! Update: It seems Ecobank is tone deaf, asking people interminably to send emails to the app developer team. Perhaps if you spend time FIXING the app you won't be getting such a tonne of negative feedback!!
It's really sad that the security level of this app is the poorest I've seen. How can I leave my banking app for one week, yet have access to it (showing all information) without inputing any passwords? I've been in utter shock! Kindly fix this as soon as possible. It is critical you do so at once.
This is a very useless and unreliable app. You make transfers and get a receipt thinking it went well, only for the transaction to be reversed much later making you look dishonest. Then there's also the indiscriminate deductions from your account which are inconvenient and hard to place. Ecobank needs to do better!
I couldn't make any transfer about a month ago and I was advised to reinstall which I did but since then it has not worked. " Dear Customer, we are unable to load your profile at the moment. Try again later." Is the message that pops up since then. For over a week now when I have sent my account details as you requested both here and via email, nothing has been done. I am yet unable to login into my account on the app.
Very useless App. I regretted downloading on my device. I log in my details on for it to be reflecting "Profile Not Found. Chat us for assistance" though my credentials where validated. I forward my complaints to the appropriate authorities but yet their reply did not work. To some extent, I'm disappointed in ECO Bank Mobile App. Poor App.
Very poor! I've been trying to use it since I upgraded to infinix note 10 and the experience to say the least has been very frustrating. It keeps denying me access to my own account even with the fingerprint I was using on my old infinix hot 7 phone.
Please can someone help address the issue with this app that's affecting majority of your customers? App isn't responding, keeps crashing and I have sent 3 emails but no reply. N.B. Don't ask me to send a screenshot by email because I am not prepared to go through that route again.
Terrible service! I waited days forthe OTP so i can log in again and even after several calls to Ecobank no good result came from it. I'm still waiting till this day for the pin! I have been using the app for a long time and I'm very disappointed with this. This means that once you sign up, it'll be dangerous to log out cause you will definitely endure this ordeal! This review will not change even after they fix it because after this experience, i cant trust that it wont happen again!!
I don't know what is wrong, this app has proven to be a nightmare. After every installation, you can't log in unless you call their office and they reset your account for you. When you do log in, then the app tells you can't connect to the internet, check and try again. I even reinstalled, but when I enter my number and then my pin, it now tells me am using a new device so I have to verify. But when you try to verify, it says mismatch number! SMH!
This app is useless how can I download app for 3 different times to see if it will work and non has worked, it only stop at insert your current pin. I have downloaded apps of other Banks and I was able to activate it immediately, but not Ecobank app. Delete this app from the app store if you guys cannot get it right. And I need my app and ussd to be activated immediately, as the ussd is given error message that you can not use this.
This app was working excellently until I made a software update to my Samsung Galaxy S7. Now, the app crashes anytime I try to open it. I tried taking an update of the app via Play Store but got this message: "This app may not be optimized for your device." Kindly fix this bug.
Awesome application. I could make transactions between accounts within the bank and outside too. Last time I sent money to Cameroun. The bank took only 1% for transfert fee. Far better than Money Gram and Express Union. However I cannot buy airtime from the application. Airtime feature will be very helpful. But I don't blame them for that. It is the beginning. Great job!
