The app requires a OTP password but no option to input it. How inconvenient and frustrating
I've been trying to register because i had to reinstall it and it's not automatically picking up the OTP which is being sent immediately (that being the reason had to reinstall it to begin with). This has been such an inconvenience and the Econet Customer service centre is just rubbish, call ends as you are being transferred to an agent.
Those complaining about the OTP issue, go to settings, applications and locate EcoCash. Then go on the Permissions Option and Allow pretty much everything. It solved my issue. Econet should find a way around that issue though!
Well, its highlighted next to the name that this is a data app, its not an offline application. If you want offline service there's *151# For me it works well, does what It's meant to do. I find this quicker in comparison with toggling through *151# menus particularly when i am at a till point to make a payment. Good app.
Some upgrades are detrimental. Previous version was milk and honey. This current upgraded one doesn't even log in unless you are using Wi-Fi. As for using the app at the supermarket, i now find it useless, it will not work.
The app isn't working at all. It can only open its welcome screen, then "fails to establish a secure connection". After that it's done, you won't do anything. I think some errors happened in the process of.developing it.
Only works when the simcard registered on ecocash is in the phone. It does not work like all other apps. I think they must improve on this. Must follow industry and international best practice while at the same time not compromising security of clients.
Before updating to upgrade it was such a great app but now it's useless to me as it keeps saying this is not a "rooted device". Then l could use it in a phone with another network provider as long l had data in phone it could work to use my ecocash on another phone. Restore the previous version.
The ecocash platform and this application are totally disappointing. I really don't know mayne it's now part of the core values to get clients frustated. This app is supposed to provide convenience but even using wifi or data I'm failing to get logged in, the platform is even more unbearable. If there were 0 stars I would blast that option.
What's the point of having an app that requires data connection and has the exact features as the ordinary text request we normally do. Thot t would maybe give a proper bank statement with all the details not coded ones. Please improve on that. Am loyal to Econet as a brand n ts services but was very disappointed on this one
Can you please add more robust customer statements like those in that EcoLedger Application. When I request for a customer statement on this app I only get 3 transactions, like honestly, why don't you give us a way to view all our transactions through this app, I am a small business owner and emailing to request a customer statement every time I want one is getting irritating. I am only giving a 2 because EcoCash is now our currency. But you can do way better, this app is not innovative at all.
This app is not working. The OTP can not be inputted with either wi-fi or data. Was it ever tested? The old app worked well - hassle free. This one has a zero star.
I have had the OTP problem for over 5 months. My reports were closed everytime without my problems getting fixed. I have had to ask for the manager to deal with the problem. There seems to be no problem escalation procedure. Support personnel seem to close queries without fixing the problem.
Good Application, but why do I have to login again into my Account each time I launch the App ( OTP process:-( ), why not go through this process the first time, the second time you it just starts home, unless you had logged out on your previous session...please make that application more user friendly, that process is tedious & irritating
This is a very good app but whats mind boggling is the fact that the moment you remove the Econet Sim card then you cant access the app and you need to verify using the OTP pin again, An App should be verified once only, i think one should be able to use the App even if they are not using the Ecocash Sim and even if you not in Zim , you are limiting us and thats very absurd to me please fix this , its a very huge problem ☹☹☹
Used to love this app then came the November 2019 update, since then it's been a downhill experience. Please update to AndroidX, it shouldn't take you a day. If you having issues on how to update the sim lookup you can email me and I'll give you a step by step process
I love the convenience of this app, it's user friendly and quick. But if you don't have decent cellphone reception, as we have in many places in Zimbabwe, then it doesn't work.
Lately the app doesnt work it asks for OTP then doesnt move on to the screen where you are supposed to type the OTP. please fix this we really rely on the app.
I am very unimpressed with ecocash app service. I have not been able to use mine for months now. when I open the app it goes to a blank white screen. I have been to econet twice now and no help has been received.
The app is asking for OTP even if you insert the OTP. It issues another OTP one after the other. Its not working for now.
the OTP pin thing was not thought through, even whats app gives an option of entering the pin. Vamwe line renge riri mukambudzi dose that mean we cant use the app? All in all nice initiative.
I'm not happy with the new update to be quite honest. I use a different phone (with a different sim card) for data related things and have been failing to log into my Ecocash app because the prompt message is received on a different phone.
This Update is actually useless... Ever since i updated this app i hv nt been able to log in.. OTP is sent bt there is nowhere to enter, keeps on displaying Waiting for OTP, wish there ws a way of attaching screenshots here😤😤

A handy app. May you please also include a tariffs category so that we can view wallet to bank transfers aswell as charges incurred when sending or purchasing items. Thank you
It seems as though I have to delete Whatsapp and / or help24seven in order to download the upgrade. I really DON'T want to do this!! 😕
Would have given a rating of zero if it was possible.One time PIN is sent to your number instantly but there is nowhere to enter it for authentication.In short,The application does not work!Do you even test these applications after development?
There is nothing to rate because it is not working in android 10. Don't be stuck in the past. Move with times.
New update just messed up the beautiful app. My phone screen is just going blank everytime i try do a transaction. Nxaa DON'T FIX STUFF IF IT AINT BROKEN!
Ìt's a good app. If possible can you make the app usable whilst offline? Offline app will accomodate people living or travelling to rural areas where there is poor network.
