Ecosia

I'm quite disappointed with this app. I love the fact that this prevents tons of ads to pop up on my screen and obviously that there is some good behind it. I constantly use Ecosia on my computer and will continue. However, I have to admit that the app very often crashes and is very slow in opening Web pages... I think you could do better. It works just fine on my Apple phone though... I surely would want to use it if you fixed it here. Kind regards.

Looks solid, great cause. I'm feeling it out to see if it gives me the experience I get when using Chrome. One thing that I think needs changing is the design. When results come up the font seems very square and formal, the boxes that contain the results are square, pointy, harsh. Personally I think that it needs a more bubbly, comfortable and happy look to go with your cause. It's what I expect when looking at your logo. Not at all that when I go in. Hopefully you implement this, Thanks :)

I loved this browser because it was easy to use and most importantly, because it still had the old tab view. The group tab feature was the reason I switched from chrome in the first place. Please give us an option to choose between the two. The group tabs are complicated and impractical, I'd much rather keep the old tab view. In the meantime I'll be searching for alternatives to ecosia because I'm not dealing with this.

I've been using this browser for quite some time and I really enjoy it. one thing I do not like is the change in tab display. it feels clunky, its a big difference from the old layout(which was frankly much smoother) and is unappreciated. an option to choose/change layouts would be nice as a quality of life improvement. overall good app/browser. please fix this.

I love it for the sake of planting trees, not a bad browser, needs work on the dark theme. On all sites when browsing the web like many browsers do these days. I'll come back in a few months as it seems it hasn't been sorted yet from about 2 months ago. I'll just revert back to duckduckgo as their dark theme is all over the browser not on one page. It's not hard to do.

Used to work well. However, for a while it just doesn't. I type in whatever I want to search for, and no matter what it stays blank indefinitely. My internet, my phone and other apps all work fine, it's just this app. I was hoping there would be an update to fix it but for at least a month now I haven't been able to use Ecosia on my phone. It's a shame, I really want to. Please fix it

Ecosia is very nice to use: easy on the eye and simple design, but recently my tabs have become group tabs without me changing any setting for it. Please allow us to not use this option, I may be blind but I cannot find the setting to turn it back to single tab. I switched navigators mainly because Ecosia didn't have group tabs, please don't force it on users.

Everything is absolutely amazing, but a tiny bit of change would also be good if it kinda provides a detailed analysis or information when it comes to Wikipedia definition during the search. But, overall, it's more than expectations. Great job!

We need sustainable options for now essential services but the new group tabs "feature" reduces functionality by preventing opening a link in a new, non-group tab. Otherwise more or less identical to other browsers, but not evil. You should probably use it.

Sometimes it locks up, having to refresh. Worst of all from experience, it doesn't download pdf files where I needed to open and show a scan of a code. Had to revert back to Google Chrome for that.

I would've given a higher rating but Ecosia switched to group tabs with no option to switch back to the old way. Its why I switched in the first place from Chrome. Uninstalling and finding another browser now

Suggestion to add other features especially the voice command. I'd also like to say that please download this app. It will help the environment and all of us in the long run if everyone used this browser. For every search, a tree will be planted.

Why did you add tab groups and is there a way to disable it. It is unnecessary and annoying on phones and one of the main reason I don't use the chrome app anymore. I don't want to have to move everything to another browser but if I can't disable tab groups ecosia won't be staying installed for much longer.

I love being able to use a search engine that helps the environment in some way- the only complaint I have is not having the ability to group tabs like other browsers. It would make using this a lot more enjoyable!

I don't know why the tabs are in a grid view but it feels ugly and clunky, if there is a way to change this that would be great, ecosia is a good engine but the tab view makes it ugly. The older scroll view was better. If there is a way to fix this I'll change my rating back to 5 stars.

Usually would be a 5 but I think they updated it and it has a different interface for tabs and I hate it :( it's just like the chrome app now which is good if you like that but nahhhh. the rest is good though just that makes me sad because it was so much better

I like the app, it's my preferred browser. However, I HATE the auto group tab that I cannot turn off. Please disable this, or give us the option to. Thanks!

Up until like 2 days ago, this was 4 stars. Then I guess the app updated and the tabs went from pages you can scroll through to grid tabs, which I hate with a passion. Is there any way to get the old tab view back?

This app is life-changing besides the fact that every search is equal to 1 tree, also the ad block is the best.

Not sure if it's an update or I've changed settings somehow without knowing, but my tabs now only show as tiles like the chrome browser app, pretty disappointed :/

Worked brilliantly until they forced tab groups in, which was the feature that made me stop using Google Chrome. There isn't even an option to disable it, there's now just an extra step every time I want to swap tabs.

I am opposed to the new tab layout. It makes opening the tab I'm looking for more difficult and feels like an attempt to make ecosia look like mainstream browsers.

I like that not only is this a really good browser but using it also supports a good cause. I would have rated it 5 stars but I have a few issues with it. First, despite the fact that the website version of the google play store says this browser was updated a little over a month ago, this browser has not been updated for a while. I've used this browser on multiple devices and a new versions hasn't been made available in several months. The second issue is that, while it works well on most sites, ads aren't blocked on YouTube. The last issues is that you can't change or customize the homepage nor the new tab page, but this is just a minor issue as it only causes minimal performance issues when the browser is starting or opening a new tab.

I've had this app and browser for a few years and everything worked fine until recently. It now seems that sometimes, when I search for something €mildly* specific, if I go see the image results it won't show a thing, even if in the normal search there was some image results as a preview. In comparison, in Google search everything appears fine. This seems like a browser issue that also happens on my computer, so it's not just the app, but I couldn't find the place to search for it better.

Works well, and does most things Chrome does. However, I do wish it was upgraded and patched more quickly. The last update as I write this was nearly six months ago, which is far, far too long between browser patches. Tempted to switch to Duckduckgo, which also claims to be carbon negative, or use the Opera browser with Ecosia set as the default browser.

The ad blockers are pretty good for a free app, you can always see how many trees you helped planting at the top right, and what is there to lose from using this instead of chrome? Help the planet through little things. Great app, keep going at it! Though it can be a bit slow so i hope they fix that problem, other than that i highly recommend ❤
