App takes forever to launch. Often you have to shut off the screen and turn it back on to see where the robot is. Doors are a bit messy as they are treated like a wall. I do like that the app splits off rooms as separate parts so you can choose the order in which they are cleaned or skip some parts entirely, that's pretty useful. Also cleaning a square is nice for the carpets.

Extremely Buggy and frustrating app. I have had to recreate maps and boundaries several times. Currently the unit will not create or save a new map, so I am unable to fix the boundaries, causing it to get stuck every run. When I bought this, it seems to work far better. It appears recent changes to the app have caused significant problems. Not happy!

Overall not a bad app. It would be great if I could instruct the ecovax just to clean a small area of the house. For example just the kitchen. Similar to the no vacuum zones but the opposite and very specific. A normal clean currently takes about an hour and a half. Whereas say four the kitchen it would be 5 minutes. I have also found that over time phantom lines and areas are included in the map. Rather than creating a new map I would like to see a feature that would allow me to edit these out

1 star until you fix the clear issues with this. Map gets lost every week or two, vac seemingly unable to find the charging station even though it's marked it on the map, and knows where it is... Ends up driving around the bathroom 100 times instead. Paid a lot of money for this vac and I don't expect to be constantly having to pick it up and put it back on the recharge station.

Overall an OK app. I wish I could control which direction the robot goes. I don't like that it always goes in the same pattern. I want it to run in a vertical pattern sometimes instead of a horizontal pattern. Or if I set it to 2 passes, it should run horizontal first and then the second pass run vertically. I also would like to spit up open floor plan maps better. If you have an open floor plan, you can't separate it into smaller areas. It's just one big area.

Good app, it's just does the job done. The very annoying part of it is the app keep "updating the map" especially if you move the robot in a single room, at that point the old map will get delete and changed with the new one losing at this point all the old maps. It should be a feature to lock the existing map, and the update of the map it should be ONLY an option.

Most recent update (2.2.3) has broken my map (T9+ OzmoPro 2.0). As soon as a cleaning task is launched, the map is "forgotten" and the task fails. Robot returns to the dock and immediately the map is restored. Send it again, same thing happens. Doesn't matter if it's an area clean or auto, scheduled or manual, it does this. Bot is just a giant, useless paperweight now. Previously worked fine for over six months.

Terrible app, especially considering I paid ~$1500 for the X1 Omni. The lack of features and existing bugs neuters the functionality and efficiency that the robot could be capable of. I spent over an hour trying to learn the unintuitive and clunky app interface to create custom maps, only to have all that work overwritten by the robot on its next run. That makes creating custom maps pointless, and also removes the virtual safety barriers I had put in place. I won't buy another Ecovacs.

I uses both xiaomi roborock s5max and deebot ozmo 950 for almost 2 years now. My deebot always got lost every now and then couldn't find its way back to the dock, and the virtual boundaries I've set seems inconsistent (undetected by robot/gone) every now and then too. While my inet connections are fine, i dont know anymore what's the problem. Meanwhile, my roborock apps are going fine, virtual boundaries are consistently working, never got lost looking for its dock, totally different experience

Overall ok, but issues dividing up rooms. I have a fairly open floor plan and it is nearly impossible to subdivide into smaller rooms for scheduling. Also, would like the option to force it to revert to an older map. Finally, I don't need ads for new ecobots. I just bought this one so why would I want to see ads for newer or upcoming models. I already spent hundreds for this one.

Overall i think the mapping function is terrible. It doesnt seem to do well when it has to charge in between mapping processes. Also it doesnt have a good way to add sections to a map. When mapping it takes a long time becuase it pretends to clean, but if you have it on silent mode, that does not use suction, you would think they could just focus on mapping instead of "cleaning" to get the map done quicker. Daylight savings time change didnt work on app.

So bad. The robot itself is fine. Does a decent job vacuuming. The app is trash, from top to bottom. It loses the programmed map, randomly relocates the charging dock and then can't find it, says on one screen that no map exists while, simultaneously, on another screen displays the saved map that it's incapable of accessing. Literally every few weeks. This either needs a complete overhaul of the AI or it needs to add some form of manual control.

Many times map gets updated, so the robot does not start in proper direction. Cleaning is done great, but my only concern is it starts in the direction towards the wall, so I have to always keep trying till it goes in the correct direction. When the robot takes the wrong direction, one has to send it back to the charging dock, but the robot cannot find its own charging dock. That's very unconvenient. It takes 20-30 mins to get it back to its own charging dock.....

Can't find the charging base. Seems to work ok, but then loses all sense of direction once complete. Garbage! Flakey app. Keeps "detecting changes" and wipes the map. Then it has to remap the whole house and - surprise - the map is exactly the same as before! Why is there no option to force the previous map? Also, the route it takes is stupid and not systematic.

When I go and edit the map, such as virtual barriers and other edits such as cleaning preference, it doesn't save it over the original map. So my issue is when it's time for me to reset the map due to a glitch of the mapping overlapping, it goes back to the map before I made the edits. Due to the other issues I'm having with machine, these edits seems to be too often. I would like it to save over the original map once edited, to become the new map to reset to.

Need to have a save function for the maps. So once you fix up initial mapping, merging, splitting, then naming, you can save and revert back when the maps screw up - which happens every 2 months or so. The map just rebuilds on top of itself, or 90degress to the original map and you have ghosting. If you can't fix the mapping issue (the issue spanning over a year), at least let us save our altered maps!

Love the vac & had no issues with maps until the recent update to the app. Now I've had to remap twice in a week. Also issues where it thinks it's completed the clean when it's only covered the perimeter of the set cleaning area. I hope these bugs are resolved soon, so that I can return to give a 5 star rating the Ecovac deserves. Update 14/4/22, sick of losing maps all the time. Seems to coincide with bug fixes. Please add a saved map function.

Most of the times the robot cannot localize itself in the same environment and we have to do a whole initial mapping again. The mapping is time consuming and is not efficient. Then when the map is ready, it is saved but tomorrow is the same story again. Also the multi floor feature is actually not working at all because of mapping issues.

Generally pretty good. Few niggles. Robot will occasionally clean in a sporadic manner, circling several times, appearing lost. When choosing areas to clean, sometimes one area is entirely skipped with no obvious reason Less happy with the splash screen adverts for their shop when I just want to use the product I've already purchased... Few stars off.

I was tempted to give 1 star, but the app did at least work sometimes. But very spotty. We returned the otherwise good vacuum becaude the software is so bad that it made it largely unusable. - it kept forgetting the floor map I'd made, forcing me to vacuum the whole floor again in order to recreate the map - one time it reoriented the map by 45 degrees, causing it to avoid obstacles which weren't there and run into ones that were - incredibly difficult to edit a map except for vertical divisions

Lots of communication problems with robot, often takes 6 or more tries to get it to work, shutting down app and restarting. Mapping often doesn't recognise rooms correctly and no way to edit (give us the ability to adjust room boundaries). Robot often struggles to find base, randomly bumping into things and going on journeys around the house. Often doesn't respect virtual boundaries set in app. When region is set to China and language English, there is still a lot of Chinese appearing.

The mapping software is horrible, the robot gets stuck on something small on the floor(like cord or clothing) then turns itself and starts creating a whole new map on a 45 degree angle. Creating this ghost map problem then cannot find its way back home. Have to try and restore map and then loose all of the keep our zone... It seems to be happing more and more frequently. It was not this bad when I brought 18 months ago. ECOVAC PLS LET US LOCK THE MAP

Maps are resetting on a daily basis. Each time I start Deebot it has to map the home all over again. I've never been able to split/merge rooms as when I set everything up the map will just disappear and a new one is created. App is rubbish and unfortunately devalues the deebot capability for targeted cleaning. Next time I will look at other brands for reliability of mapping. Not what I expect after dropping $1k.

X1 Omni - 3 feedbacks. 1. The app should allow users to add/remove"cleanable/reachable" area without requiring quick mapping. Reason: frequent adjustments are made to small furnitures. 2. The app should allow users to set a maximum battery charge level. Reason: extend battery's lifespan. 3. The app should allow users to decide whether they want to overwrite existing map with a new one generated from quick mapping or not. Reason: similar layout for multi-floor house. 5 stars if/when all fixed

The app is an absolute nightmare to use, everytime there is an update it's filled with bugs and sometime cause robot vacuum to be bugged out for a period of time before working again. Mapping is great until it bugs out and takes some random period of time before it fixes itself. Alot of UI are terrible with issues like robot being offline and back online randomly after new updates.

Ozmo 920. I tried to contact support through app and that option is not available. Cleaning schedule gets lost on each update of the app or just gets lost. after a week or two robot no longer has the cleaning schedule. Maps cannot be permanently saved. How often do you think my apartment changes? Oh lets just add another 2 rooms here... once the map is built it needs to stay there, can get updated but why i lose rooms which had closed door from the map???

Awful App! Used to be a good robot, but now forgets maps constantly. Also instead of forgetting the map it remapps it in a different angle an now "the wall" is in the middle of the room. Would not recommend it to anyone. Was different a few months ago before all these issues. Back then it would have gotten 5 stars! Looking at a neato or robovac to replace this "smart" robot.

It is a very good app, but the robot frequently losses it's internal map, necessitating a complete rebuilding of the map. This would be okay if when it self generates the rooms, it actually matched the rooms as they are in the house. (But then don't forget the addition electronic walls to prevent the robot getting itself into trouble.) Previously rated a 3, but it is not becoming less frequent. If you release the internal robot code to the public, they might fix the issue for you
