This mobile application is an extension of Ed-admin, a browser-based software application that streamlines and simplifies education management, integrating administrative, teaching and learning tasks into one user-friendly, custom-designed database that meets the needs of all educational establishments. Ed-admin was designed and developed by a core team of specialists in education, along with education managers and software developers, to provide a versatile system that is flexible and customised to develop with an institution’s growing needs, able to integrate into a corporate environment and suit a range of education establishments.
Via the mobile application, you can view a host of information about your child’s school journey:
• Daily attendance;
• Academic assessment scores, thereby keeping track of your child’s academic progress;
• Activities management, so that you never miss your child’s sports matches or
extracurricular activities, as these can be seen at a glance;
• Learner Behaviour Management, so that you can view any merits and demerits accumulated at the institution;
• Published report cards, for end of term or semester, are available on the application;
• News items, information and articles of interest that the institution deems pertinent to the well-being of the students can be viewed;
• Notifications can be published and viewed on the mobile application. Easy access like this means that you are kept in the loop on events and activities happening at the institution;
• Documentation, any that the institution wishes to make available to parents and students, can be uploaded by the institution onto the mobile application for you to view;
• View your child’s daily schedule via the Calendar and know his or her whereabouts while at the institution. The Calendar also allows you to see any events and activities of interest to you at the institution and which you may wish to attend;
• Respond to permission and agreements related to you child’s participation in outings and activities;
• Contact Information pertaining to both yourself and your child can be updated;
• Keep abreast of your finances by viewing statements that have been published to the Portals, so that you are able to make arrangements to pay institution fees and other amounts that are outstanding; and
• View the contact information of staff members, via the Directory, that are involved in your child’s education.

I have all these notifications and when I go into read them I cannot see anything the block is blank. I have uninstalled and tried again but no luck.
Not very impressed with this App. The communication is very poor & not updated regularly. The boys schools are far better with their communications & their Apps gives us parents a much better idea of what's happening or due to happen. All letters that are emailed to parents, are also consequently also posted on the App for easy referral - by comparison. School has broken up for school holidays, yet the calendar still says today & next week that my daughter is suppose to be writing exams.
App has good functionality but I cannot download any documents - keeps saying "file not found". Running latest versions of app and also Android so have no idea why. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same. Also allowed all permissions regarding storage etc etc. Extremely frustrating
I recently downloaded this app on my new phone. I do not have an option to link more than one school on my profile.
Great app, but has problems. When selecting to download documents it says file can not be found. Then I have to get them emailed to myself to view. Now I have been sent videos to watch to help our child get ready for school and I can't download and when selecting email, the email does not come through! I have to get the videos from someone else!
I have no choice but to use this app because the school my daughter goes to uses it for communications. However if I had a choice I would NOT use it because there is always a problem, more often than not the app says "site not responding" when I am trying to open it or update my daughters information amongst other technical problems. PLEASE can the programmers behind this app sort it out because there are ALWAYS hassles.
A good idea for an app... if only it worked! I can never simply open it and use; it always needs several attempts. Even then I'm lucky if it works- usually I have to ask the school to email me directly. My heart always drops when I'm told to refer to the app... it's such a waste of time accessing the information.
It has been so frustrating because you cannot get access to it. It keeps saying updating data since I have installed it. Schools using this app really need to consider how they can improve or change to another app.
Tells me to update app when I open it and takes me to the Google play store. No update option only Open and Uninstall? Click on open and get directed to app which then tells you to update. Very frustrating and now the app is completely useless. Don't tell me there is an update available and then offer no update option.
It is good app. But calendar is listing my daughter's name for all activities of entire day in school of all grades where in fact she has one exam from 8:00 to 10:00. Hopefully it is not an data capting issue. Thank you.
App doesn't open no matter how many times I try. I see the initialization screen for half a second and then the app shuts down. I have Android Version 12 for whatever that's worth.
Trying to get an access code. I only get the code hours after requesting. Then when I go into the app to put the code in it says I have to request another code. And after 5 tries blocks me for 24hrs. Not sure why there is such a delay in getting the code. Super frustrating.
Very seldom works like it is supposed to.But as with most CRM apps, it is only as good as the input information. Really it needs an experienced driver from the school or institution.
I need help to set my notifications up. They don't pop up even though I've set the notifications to pop up. 🤷♀️
I want to login with number but it doesn't show on the screen and it only show log in with email. Please solve this problem
I can't get past the Login page. The app repeatedly takes me back to the login page after inserting the code (regardless of SMS or Email) prompting to send me the code again when I try to login. No response from school admin or app support.
It was initially reliable. However nowadays when I try to go into the app, it tells me to update the app before I can use. Then it automatically takes me the store but there's no option to update so can't review
Struggling to update on android, thus unable to access my child's account or anything about the school. Worst is the school keeps referring one to the app and there is no information readily available.
Everytime I try to login, it says cannot send SMS contact institution. When you try using email too, the exact same thing happens. I wish I could give this 0 stars
Why can't we use the app without updating? Your write up says 11 mb, Google says 70 mb. I have to delete an app to update. Emailed you a few days ago...no response yet... Rating drops because of these concerns.
Keeps asking me to update before proceeding, and hence unable to open it. however, there is no update on playstore. My last update was done on May 2021.
This app is pretty pointless if you can't access important features such as progress report. All I can see are personal details applicable to my child which I obviously already know, I don't need an app to tell me his grade or name 🙄
Whenever I try to go into the app, it says I need to update the app first before I can use it. However, when I got to the play store there isn't an update available. As such I cannot use the app at all!
It is still saying there is an update available but no update in the Play Store. So still unable to access any information via the app.
The app isn't working. It keeps giving error on server side message and no one from support has emailed in reply to my request to assist me to date.
Every time I try to log in it tells me my password has been updated and I must log in again. So I can never get in. Please help!
Parent sees all the information what he or she should see, App support is really active and quickly solves your queries. Thanks to developers for this wonderful App
It's frustrating that I get all the school news. In a world that is cluttered with information I would prefer an app where I can select to get only the information relevant to my children. It would also be nice to have a way to mark messages a read without having to go into them.
