Seriously, there is Toronto Bishop Airport, but no Pearson? How dumb it is? Largest Canada Airport does not accept e declaration, or it's a bug?
The QR code produced did not scan at YVR I use One 7plus android phone. Hope it can be fixed
QR scan did not work at YOW. No time saved since you still need to do the line with every one who don't have a QR. And it basically only 6 yes or no questions that you can pre-filled and you still need to take a picture on the terminal so not efficient. Here is how to fix it: 1- create a line for only pre-filled form 2- fix the QR scan (it should be easy) 2- do the picture in the app with your phone
First time use - fails to read QR code. Followed instructions to scan first before selecting language, but no matter how close or how far away you hold your device, it will not scan. Waste of time, because then you have to use the manual process anyone without the app uses. Great idea, but just doesn't work. Maybe next version..
Useless. You can scale the qr code so the airport borne never manages to read it. I tried this in 3 different airport and not once did it work. Save your self sometime and just fill the declaration on the spot is much faster and less frustrating.
Very good, worked fine at YUL. One has to place it carefully on the scanner but once you got it, it reads the qr code fine. It is a bit annoying to have to re confirm all questions but one does save a bit of time.
This app did not work in Toronto, after waiting in line to scan I had to manually enter the information again on a terminal. What a waste of time, the optics may look good but this has just created long lines in a crowded terminal. App may work but no support behind it.
Speeds up customs, saves paper and avoids unreadable cards scribbled during tubulence. Watch out for airports that don't have the scanners yet! The app could do a better job of knowing if your destination is compatible with eDeclaration.
tried setting up using this app but just when I was done I went for the QR code generator and it's says it's valid for only 24hrs, if that is truethe to the app makers 24 hours is not enough time some of flights are past 24hr, especially if your traveling from the other side of the world it's hard to find flights under 24hrs. And I've been in airports where there's no wifi so no way of adding the information on the go, so in a way it's This app is pointless for far away travelers
Like other reviewers have stated, the app is useless. It actually takes longer at the kiosk if you scan the QR code as all the questions and travelers info needs to be verified again at the kiosk. Skip the app. Just use the kiosk to enter the info.
Totally worthless app. Helps in no way to get through the customs at all. It's not up to date or in sync with the actual kiosks at the airport. Wasted my time downloading snd filling out the foems in this app.
This app literally does nothing at the airport kiosk at YYZ. We filled out all the info and generated a QR code but then the kiosk refused to scan the code and we had to fill out the traditional paper form which ended up causing us to be delayed at customs—precisely what this app was presumably designed to prevent in the first place!
YYZ isn't even listed as an arrival airport
Works perfectly. Anyone who says otherwise isn't following the instructions properly, you have to scan the QR code FIRST. DO NOT select a language when you approach the screen at Pearson.
waste of time download and completed while waiting in line then the machine didnt give the option to scan the barcode. had to start all over again. what's the point?
Pretty dumb when the main airport YYZ Toronto is not available. Thought technology is supposed to make it smoother....App developer try arriving at YYZ. Or maybe it is not your fault but just GTAA still number one at lagging in the country. So much for environment and green.
Works at YYZ. As soon as you get to the kiosk, press the QRcode against the QR code scanner (do not select any language option). There was a long line up at the kiosks so I downloaded the app while I was standing in queue and entered my necessary information.
Didn't work, tried to scan the QR code at the machine but it didn't accept it. Don't bother downloading the app, just complete your declaration at the machine.
Doesn't have all the fields the paper version has. Should include home address, field to enter flight number/train number/vessel name, value of goods each person is declaring. Overall, it should have all the same things the paper form has.
This app is a great improvement on the long serving paper forms, and greatly simplifies using the terminals to return to Canada. i just wish that i could use it at YYZ main terminal!
Have not used this yet. But this app is a great idea. Anything which helps to streamline the process at arrival is a welcome addition. Okay...... Used it with great ease. Would recommend to anyone at any time. However I set it up as "group", (2 people), but upon arrival, it would only recognize me. What did I do wrong? I will surely continue to use the app, but I need direction please. Maybe include a short manual in the next rev level?
Unable to read QR way too small and cannot make it bigger unless making screenshot waste of time until they fix this fill at kiosk.
App is simple enough but the kiosks make you re-enter all the information anyway so it saves you zero time to use the app. Don't bother.
the app is fantastic but the transfer of info to the machine in the Customs hall is incredibly inefficient. Almost everything pre-selected in the app must be reviewed again and resubmitted when you get to the hall. The process is pointless and actually takes longer than to manually insert the info only once at the machine without the app. User(s) photo(s) could be taken with the app - again, saving an unnecessary and frustrating step at the machine?
