Edge Lighting fix for All Apps

Amazing! I've just bought the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and I absolutely could not believe that there is no LED lighting for notifications. Considering my last phone (S8) did have this capability, I was surprised to say the least. To then discover that the Edge lighting doesn't work when the screen is off, I was starting to regret getting the S10 Plus! Thank god for this app! Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter - if you do that, it works a treat. Thank you so much Zunderstruck!

Does what it says it will do. I paid for the premium version, as I got the functionality I wanted. Edge notifications when the screen it's off! Very simple, not a lot to it, which is good. However, would be nice for future versions to have some simple customization options for duration, or repeating notifications. Without the LED light on the S10, there is no way to know if you missed something without activating the phone. Great job overall and thanks!

Great app, UI is becoming more and more better as the day goes on. It even feels and looks like a actual Samsung One UI app. As far as the actual functionality, it does exactly as what it's meant to do. I wish there was a fix for notifications saying "null" or the tiny generic android icon instead of the actual app icon on the little pop-up notification, however I can 100% understand that it is simply not possible. I paid for the premium version and urge anyone else to do the same.

Works great other than it doesn't have a "reminder function" to remind me of the notification when the screen is off and I haven't interacted with the phone. This has been talked about before and if it's a premium feature I would be more than happy to buy the premium version but nowhere does it say what the premium version includes at the moment (expect a short text about the icons in the application itself). Anyways great job to the developer on this one!

This app is amazing and worked, but unfortunately I have noticed it sometimes won't display the right color for the chosen app but the other apps colors work fine. Perhaps add a FAQ section or a video guide incase this is user error. Oh and one more thing: it only shows the default color when the screen is off. Not sure if it's a bug or not. I have always on display if that helps. Hope this gets updated as it's my only hope of getting this feature to work. Samsung should be doing this...

This app is the answer to all of my notification-related hopes and dreams: it allows you to see a brief preview of notifications without having to turn the screen on (it was killing me that my S10e wouldn't allow notifications to turn the screen on or show a pop-up even with the Always On display), and provides a clear distinction between different apps via colour customization. I've run into one little problem in which it won't customize the Google Calendar app (yes, I understand how to use the keyword setting), but I've got around that by setting the Edge Lighting Fix app's default notification colour to what I want for Calendar.

Great app, just small things here and there that bother me abthe entire experience. 1st of all, the UI feels locked and VERY compressed, it feels like when you scroll your fingers get stuck trying to fit them into a tight hole in the wall. 2nd of all, maybe add in a feature where it constantly shows the notification. Yes, the issue itself is fixed, but if i return to my phone id honestly never know if someone sent me a message, it only shows once, you miss it, its gone.

It works, however, it actually displays the message itself on the top part of the screen like others have mentioned, allowing people around you to see the message from a lock portion of your phone. I would rather JUST the lighting come up and not the message as well. Also, there is no way to change the color per app. It only shows the color of Edge Lighting set for THIS app, not PER app. Seems like a bug to me. I wont be buying premium until these are fixed. Great app for a feature that should definitely be included with the phone (Galaxy S10 plus). The only issue is very small, but slightly annoying... When the phone is all the way off and on the AOD when a notification comes through and is set up to use this app it seems to come though multiple times and kind of glitch and flash a few time before it actually pops up and works as it does when the phone is open (smooth animation not jerky and glitchy looking) please fix this if possible.

Great app, it works as described. I only wish the name of the app didn't show up with the edge pop-up. For instance when I get a text message "Messages" comes up with the actual message and takes up a lot of space and in my opinion doesn't look good. I just want the notification, not extra information.

Great workaround for the missing LED notification on S10! The app works well (when properly set up)! Developer is very helpful, responding swiftly and kindly to emailed issues. I'd accidentally enable the app within itself causing a loop that forced all notifications to show as the edge lighting app rather than the individual app where the notification originated. Now that is fixed, it works as expected. if only the light/colour could repeat until 'read' tho i believe this is a samsung issue.

This app is absolutely worth the price, and does exactly what it says it does. If the developer could provide a way (natively or in conjunction with Tasker) to force the Edge Lighting effect to REPEAT periodically at a fixed (or user configurable) time increment, this app would be the ultimate solution for the LED-less Samsung phones. I would gladly pay 5 times the price for the app... for my phone and my wife's... to have that additional capability.

Works really well and fixes a major flaw in Samsung's UI. Disappointed with icon selection in the paid version. Understand the app can't include official icons, but the number of icons available is extremely limited (no sports, music, etc).Would be better if you could use icons from a downloaded icon pack.

I read the instructions again and there's nothing like that for me, but you just made me realize I have another problem. I'm unable to scroll down the whole instructions page, it ends on the "Setting custom color for each app" then there's a piece of an image cropped out a bit that I didn't see before.

great app overall. sometimes it has a little issues here and there. one thing I've noticed is it says null sometimes in place of the message. other times it doesnt display anything. with a little polish this app could be perfect. cant wait for the updates. also how are the app icons looking? are we only getting the custom ones or are you working for the actual icons?

can't figure out how to get it to work when the screen is off. the only thing that happens is the entire screen comes on when I get notification. no edge lighting. I've set it up in custom color and everything. it's for message+ that it's not working

Does exactly what it's supposed to, well worth installing, after all who doesn't like flashy lights when receiving notifications! Shame samsung couldn't of done a better job of it in the first place, there loss this fellas gain! Nice job . Simple to follow instructions, cant go wrong.

I give sincere adulation to the developer. This was almost a deal breaker for the s10+ especially with the software available for the edge lighting to go off for notifications with the screen ON... why wouldn't samsung think to implement this feature with it OFF? It is by no means perfect, but for an app that is still under development and only introduced to fhe public recently, I think people should respect this app and the work put into it by the developer!

Thanks for putting in the effort to make this. Edge lighting not working with most apps with screen off AND lack of notification LED AND an always on display feature that stays on even in your pocket was the only pet peeve about the S10 for me. This fixes that to a significant degree. Have a beer! cheers

Fantastic I like how it uses your current edge lighting preferences and it works perfectly! The only downside is when the screen is off, you can't use the features like double tap or swipe to dismiss. Other than that it fixes a problem we've had since edge lighting was a thing.

Awesome! I installed the first time and didn't do everything as explained. But reinstalled and did as instructed and program works FLAWLESSLY. If the developer comes through with recurring notifications with the Edge Lighting I would gladly PAY more for this program and it will be worth its weight in gold!

It's very good and it's nice to have edge lighting everywhere, but could you add a toggle to automatically enable new apps when they get installed? Or even when they get permission to send notifications? I don't mind going in and manually enabling edge lighting for new apps when I install them, but if I didn't have to, I'd appreciate it. I really do just want my default edge lighting setting for all apps, with no apps being any different, and with no apps not having it. That and also can you add 120hz support? The app is running at 60hz for me on my s20 fe even though i have my display mode set to 120hz

The app works well but the custom icons provided are not usable for most of the apps. Those icons just don't fit well with the type of app like for a music app there should be some icon which represent music. Rest of the app is very good, just add some more relevant icons.

You may need to dig through some system apps to get the notifications but it works. The stock edge lighting should have worked like this so thank you! Question: how do I change an icon for an app once I've already selected one? I don't see any option to remove or change it once I've picked one from your list

This works far better for me than the stock version (which would only work really for stock message app and not whatsapp or my calendar notification app). Took a while to work out how to get different colours for different apps... but seems you have to use the text option within Edge Lighting settings... not set it per app in the standard way

the app is fine. i hope it soon does work again on my s10. when i start WhatsApp web the edge animation persists and starts lagging after a while. also somehow after the update nothing does work anymore..maybe i need the may update which i have not received yet. don't worry about the stars. I'll update the rating when i can use the app again Edit: Of course i did activate the app again. I get the edge notification. But its in a lagging loop. Also it does not work for Gmail anymore. But i will try it again =)
