After fixing my issue within the hour, I'm really enjoying this app and it's really helping improve my efficiency on my phone. I will say that after the recent update, all of my different pages are stuck as transparent and I can't make them opaque at all. I'd also maybe like to see the option to curve the corners of the window that pops up (without the full screen option, as I don't use that) as it would help with the aesthetic of a floating window which doesn't go from top to bottom of my phone.
A very nice app. I really like the concept behind it. Being able to swap between apps, music player and specific shortcuts is a godsend for smartphones with bigger screens. But if I may, there's some things I would like to suggest: - Give us the option to hide the trigger area indicator. After a while it becomes annoying to see it on-screen everywhere; - It is possible to trigger the edge AND open a app with a single swipe? - About the build-in music player, it is possible to use a player of our choice instead?
I really really really wish this was what I needed. I am unable to customize the calendar (events are on the small side, can't select calendars, just copy what Samsung had before they botched their platform), the calculator is too small to use and doesn't contain enough features, needs clipboard editor. If i could interface with tasker, I would write it myself, but in the current state, I'm sorry to say that I cannot use this. If the app is updated for these as I need them, I'd throw you triple.
It used to be one of my favorite apps for its helpfulness and convenience. Now, however, it disappears CONSTANTLY. Once a day, i might put up with (it's THAT useful), but now it literally stays up only 5 minutes after reboot--and you have to watch an ad every time. If they could unfix whatever they attempted to fix, that'd be great. Until then, I'm going to try to find something similar. EDIT: After the update it's working perfectly again :) highly re-recommend
This was a great app for months when I first got it. Occasionally it would need to be opened manually, but not a big deal. Now however, no icons are displayed in the edge, apps can't be opened from it, and even uninstalling and reinstalling it can't add any of my phone's apps to the edge display. If they can get it fixed it would be worth 5 stars. For a while it was a great stand in for a Samsung-like feature on my OnePlus
Had it for years and recently none of the edge actions work. The edge apps are all showing up blank with the bottom label only. When you click on it, nothing happens. I tried to go to the settings to reset it, but none of my apps are showing up on my list. It's been a while now, and the developers are unresponsive. Looks like it's no longer supported??
I bought the Spotify panel, thinking it would be the most useful since I'm always listening to something. It really misses the mark, and fails to replace the functionality of the default Spotify notification. For example, I can't directly go into the Spotify app by tapping the album art like I can by tapping the notification. I only have the option to go to the artist / album specifically. Then, for some reason, the artist / album links are separate buttons from the artist / album text.
Almost perfect. If it had separate transparency settings for the panel and the unused part of the window it would look better. When I was using my Note 8, the panel transparency doesn't clash with the rest of the screen. In other words, the real thing keeps the rest of the observable screen totally transparent while the panel itself remains slightly opaque.
Pretty cool app. 3.5/5 My main issue is with the Spotify integration. It frequently logs me out. The strangest thing though is that when it is logged in, it randomly starts playing Beach boys songs. I thought it was a Spotify issue, but it only happens when I'm logged in to Spotify through Edge Screen. It's also hard to find your city because it searches by name and not zip code. And search results come up with City, United States instead of State. Other than that, it's a pretty solid app.
I want to preface this review by saying, that despite my HUGE issue, it's a phenomenal app for what's it meant to do. All the built in functions work - most of the time. It's unobtrusive, fast and easy to navigate. Now, on to my issue. App forces my Spotify to play Beach Boys. No, I'm serious. Ever since I linked the app, it'll start shuffling through Beach Boys songs rapidly, until closing the desktop app, where it'll then play songs on the phone. Hasn't happened since uninstall.
This app simulates Samsung's edge panel surprisingly well, great job! Pro: allows selecting an icon pack, which is amazing because Samsung's doesn't. Con: on some newer devices, Samsung allows the creation of app pairs to open in split screen, but I couldn't find a way to do it with this app. Maybe it's too specific, but it would close the gap for me.
This app is one of the best "edge" apps I've tried and certainly the most visually pleasing! I would (and did) readily pay for the full version. The ruler doesnt seem to change to inches no matter how many times I change the setting to imperial units, but that's a small thing. Great job, can't wait to see more!
Having come from a Samsung phone, I love that this app brings back the edge launcher I'd been missing. It mostly works but can also be quite unreliable sometimes. The edge screen would just disappear or change in width or not let me close it or if I open a folder in it, it would just close the screen. This is when I paid for the ad-free version 😔
Full of bugs. For one, most settings do NOT persist making it completely useless as it cannot be configured. Also where things could be dynamic, like linking the user's preferred file manager, the app hard-codes in its own internal implementation. Oh, but then the file manager doesn't even launch! Oh, and Spotify won't connect. And, another thing: not being able to use the back button to exit is such a major flaw! Argh!
Currently I don't think this is more than 3 stars; there are several things wrong with it. To name a few... For the the weather page when looking up a town to follow.. The search needs to also look up states. There are five Georgetown's in the US and without knowing if one is from Texas or Kentucky it makes it pointless. Second this would be best as it's own launcher. Sure it's one touch to get to apps but most other launchers I've been using also are so whether I swipe left or up, it makes the edge redundant. There are also several bugs when messing with the settings, some pages don't open correctly or instead of going back it exits. And there is duplicates of the application and contact pages. Very neat idea but average execution for now. 😊
No option to increase or decrease activation time. Dragging the tab doesn't work, holding down and dragging doesn't work. The sweet spot is impossible to get right. I should be able to swipe the edge and have it respond every time. Failing that, I should be able to change the activation timer from the arbitrary value it's set at. I can change the opacity of a tab that doesn't respond to my finger. Great.
I downloaded this app for one reason--to use the Spotify edge option. It was a locked feature and required payment, which I didn't mind. However, after paying, only a few additional panels were unlocked and I'm still being bombarded with ads. The number of ads on this thing is atrocious. To top it off, only the 15 sec rewind and advance buttons work. I cannot play, skip, repeat or shuffle. I would not recommend this app.
Great potential. Would give higher rating but can't seem to find out how to add multiple calendars without creating a different panel. The time reads backwards (I do have it on the left side)on the calendar and only in 24hr time. There needs to be an option to toggle to a 12hr time. I haven't looked at the other panels in depth. This app needs some love.
Decent app; however has some odd bugs. The calculator is backwards (3, 2, 1). Also the ability to to import your bookmarks would be great, adding them one at a time is just tedious. Other than that, it works. Finally fixed: The Smart Select feature selects what it wants, usually off by an 1/16 of an inch or so.
As a user that just switched from Samsung to OnePlus, this app is awesome. One issue I did notice however is that the transparency of the edge panel and the background theme are linked to each other. I think this is an error, as it seems like you should be able to make the edge panel transparent so you can see whatever background you set.
While in general it seems to be an ok app, it deserves even less than one star just for the sheer aggressiveness of the advertising. I mean, come on! You open the edge, and the whole left portion of the screen is just one massive colorful ad that makes an aesthetical slaughter of your entire screen! Ads within the app are one thing, but this... Just put it out for a fee, and that is it. Immediate uninstall.
It's a great app and I really want to pay for it, but there are some issues I'm facing, so please solve these: 1. After opening the edge, it won't let me slide it back in. Sliding my finger on the outside of the edge only scrolls through services. 2. Music service won't let me select any music app. It's by default set to Google Play Music. 3. Some toggles like Airplane and Data won't work, it takes you to their settings. Others like WiFi and Bluetooth does work but won't change colours.
I've been using the paid premium version for as long as I can remember and with the most recent update, the edge app panel no longer functions and the edge panel randomly vanishes for no reason and I have to restart. It still doesn't work after clearing the cache and a restart. A waste of money and a big disappointment. I will stay away from this developer in the future and am off to find a replacement app. ZERO stars.
I think, this is the best alternative to access something such as application, weather, physical button, etc, it's really simplify my life to access something on my phone without searching it for a long time. and so far, there isn't include annoying ads. With this, you don't have to install launcher from playstore.
Great app and really enjoying it. But there's one bug with the data button. I can't seem to turn data off or on using the button. Everything else works. Hope they fix the bug though. Thanks UPDATE: I don't know what happened but now I cant even see anything. I swipe and shows nothing. I Uninstalled the app and restored the data from backup and same issue. Please fix
I used to love this app, buy after the last few updates, it looks like the developer is just done with it. I switched to edge screen s10. It's so much more customizable, user friendly, and way less buggy. There are still adds, but they're much shorter, and overall the app is just better. This one isn't worth the hassle any more. None of the pictures/icons show up anymore, the edge panel rarely works, the backup doesn't work, and I had to reset it consistently.
