Great idea to link a watch to the phone to control the features, but the app is not reliable. It disconnects from my watch frequently, making the settings that I set in the app useless. Now, again, the app won't open and I will install/reinstall. I like Edifice watches but I will either get a "dumb" watch next or another brand. Latest issue is an error message stating that the Edifice Connected app has a bug and was closed and to wait for the app developer to post a fiz for the bug.
I read several negative reviews, which almost caused me to pass on the watch. I'm glad that I didn't. I have had no problems with the app and simply love the watch/app combination. I travel a fair amount and own a Satellite Wave watch that takes forever to reset in a new time zone. No such problems with this watch/app combination. Easy to use. Functions as it should.
At first, all functions seemed to work as advertised. Alarms could be set, settings changed, etc. The only complaint I had in the beginning was the constant notification "Connecting...", that was showing. Annoying but not very. At some point however, the app started crashing every time I try to access any of the alarms. It connects fine, I can change the time and so on, alarms show up on my phone, but the app crashes when I try to press one of them to edit. OnePlus 8, Android 11.
Intuitive and well designed, even though the animations are a little over the line. And this is my main issue with this app, I turned off the animations and transitions effects on my device, I've to turn on the animations on my phone to even use this app! I can live without it: setup day, time and alarms on my clock, I don't need this anymore.
It's been great so far. I"d like to be able to set daily alarms for weekdays only, excluding weekends. I'd also like the custom alarm's name to scroll in the watch's date window, while that alarm is sounding. That may require a firmware update for my ECB-900DB, if it's even possible. I was disappointed that the lap speed wasn"t shown on the lap data chart, based on lap distance. Why can't that be calculated & displayed in the app as well? Otherwise, I like the way that lap data is presented.
Excellent so far, I've been using it for over a month. My calendar events sync and the stability of the connection and the app is reliable. Two only comments is that the app can be slow when sending changes to the watch, which in my mind should be really quick. Second, the app can only sync the main accounts for the phone, but not other calendars that are part of other apps such as outlook or exchange. I had to get another desktop app to send my work calendar events to my Google calendar
This Edifice app works fine for me on a 1000 model slimline Edifice watch with Note 9. To connect I open the app and hold the connect button on the watch down until the second hand goes round to 'R' twice, then let the button go. It will then connect to bluetooth when pointing at the bluetooth icon on your watch. The app will connect and you can see your battery level and adjust other stuff. Press the button for 2 seconds to go to 'R' once and only the time will be adjusted via the app.
Update for the rating...have learnt most of the watch & finally worked out the link to use the calendar reminder. From what ive figured my watch would only work with google account and it had to be an event entry. Not a reminder or anything like that. It says all OS systems but i tried for months and only got joy from the Google event entry. One thing i hate the light settings do not stay the way you want them. I have to set it 2turn on when i turn my wrist every half day or so so i dont bother.
Worked good first. Then second time the home position of hands were not working properly, tried with different watches evn then the same problem. Support team do solve the issue. Connectivity no problem. While syncing the watch there is a minor bug. While moving the home positions of the hands, all hands i.e hrs, mins, seconds and the mini one the controls are not good.
Using with my Edifice EQB-1000. App is alright to navigate, not the cleanest UI however. On top of that, a quick Google search yields more than one App for Casio watches... this makes it confusing to find the correct up. Luckily the Casio+ app brought me to the correct app. Ease of syncing time is much easier than my previous watch 🤙🏽
Works perfectly! I have an Edifice ECB-900 and I've never had any issues connecting to watch. I really love that you can easily update your time, add alarms and many other features. Very impressed so far.
Quite a good app. No real problems. Keeps my Edifice time accurate. My watch matches my other GPS watches. The phone locator is worth the installation alone. Love the graphics. The links to the operation manuals is very useful.
It's a pain most of the time. Find the right setting on watch to connect to Bluetooth. Pritty lame with all the technology out there. Still love both watches
The app is ok. It does everything it supposes to do. I just wish there were more functions. Like sending notifications to the watch to beep, battery level info and the watch finder.
Unable to connect with phone
Absolutely Pathetic - Does not work. the app does not work at all. tried from myltiple phones. it shows a blank screen and thats all. the bluetooth i. the watch cannot be paired with the phone. Returning watch within 1 hour of receiving it. sad and pathetic attenot by Casio.
Wish the app has more interactive functions, for example chart showing the battery charge level (like the MTG series) instead of one small icon on the top left. And put the latest auto time update at the front of the app, not having to go deep into the menu.
A decent and useful app., really easy to update time and date and set alarm but would be great if Casio could show level/percentage of charge, all I can see is a bar in the top left corner that doesn't seem to change at all, fix that and it would be a five star app.
Easy to use functions. I mainly set my alarms to get up early for work. Have been having issues connecting watch to Android devices., sometimes takes a few attempts to connect. Other times app doesn't recognise watch at all.
This app is always open! Bluetooth always on battery always dies quicker the Watch is unable to be set by hand only by app! Pointless! If i have access to my phone why do i need a watch???????last i checked phone has time, stopwatch, alarm! Install app, connect phone set time, delete app! Repeat process when time needs reset also never buy casio Bluetooth watch again!!!!!! Waste of a watch absolute joke
I love this watch. Imagine having the correct time as long as there is a cell phone signal regardless of time zone. The solar cells are efficient, keeping the battery full. Takes daylight savings time into account automatically, no resetting required.
Fails to connect to the watch from time to time for no apparent reason. Apart from that the app works just fine and makes it very easy to set alarms and other settings. I use it with my ECB 900.
when I open the app for the first time, it asks me the read ALL the terms and conditions. I scroll slowly the bottom of both pages but am unable to check the agree all box and cannot proceed. the previous version worked fine. please fix it.
A great watch and love the interface with my mobile. Really easy to connect to and make adjustments via the app. Kind of prefer to make adjustments in this way than directly on the watch. Thanks.
Not impressed so far. One day in and the app has already crashed once and lost connection to the watch twice. Have to crown out to position 2, hold A for 5 seconds. Crown in and then repair with the app. I'll say this, I won't tolerate having to do that for very long!
app keeps crashing just after opening, it's driving me crazy. I had a brand new ediface eqb-501 and can't connect it as the app won't let me get that far. Downloaded the other casio+ app and that does the same thing.
I have always believed in keeping things simple. However, I am completely astonished that Casio decided to make a watch that needs an Android app to set it at the right time. The watch is not a stand-alone device. It also needs the wearer to have an Android phone or tablet? I doubt that buying another Casio Edifice in the future would be a wise move.
When I change my world clock and set it as my home clock, at first it's ok but when I reconnect to app both my home and word clock set to my home clock, so I rather not to connect to EDIFICE Connected.
