You should consider changing the UI of the app. The problem is with the "Discovery" page. It's an app not a webpage. Inside the "Discovery" pane, when I pinch out the screen, the page is getting a bit moved. That's the whole problem.
The app can't be used. Freezes all the time and force closes. It's a real miracle that I successfully logged in but it's for nothing because the app doesn't work properly. This review is only for the app, your service and all the courses you have are wonderful.
The material in these courses is not as rigorous as in an actual university. The app is unable to handle most of the materials - I had to do it on the website. Many of the classes are allegedly free, but access expires based on when you first found the course regardless of whether you've actually started learning anything. I lost access to my geoscience class before I had even started it. I'm also having trouble finding courses in the fields I need.
The app is pretty easy to use. However, I have a problem with how long the content can be accessed by those who are not paying. It seems to me the program is designed for those who take quick notes and quickly move on, while those with a slower pace we'll find the program of their choice to finish and access be restricted when they are only halfway through.
The quality of course is just amazing. Every content is well taught from beginner to advanced level. But I had an issue. I bought a course and it said that I'll have lifetime access to that course but when the course date ended I'm not able to view it. I would request edx team to fix it ASAP
Edx is a life changer. The app is excellent. The best thing is the ability to download all videos and watch online which is helpful for commuters going in and out of tunnels etc.
This app has a high video quality, the sounds are perfect and the documentation is absolutely okay. I find this helpful to those who want to study online and bag a certificate, the convenience of using the application is absolutely great.
Dear edX Team, The mobile app is not working properly. There are many bugs here and there. App crashing again and again. Video Download issue when we download whole course data. Video Quality function changes automatically. Lack of using SD card memory for downloads.
Great app for learning new skills from high level university, no ads, free course, also describe prerequisite, charge for certificate though which is not a problem and my experience is great so far ,giving four star because app runs kinda slow while taking look at courses and programs , after all great app for learning online
Good App. But it is not so good for a regular student and who wants learn more. Most of these courses are introductory course. If you want to do good you have to read books and practice real world examples.
Courses on the platform are really helpful. But there has application crashing issue in Android mobile application I'm using Samsung Galaxy M31s Android 11 and EDX Application Version: 3.1.0 I also reported EDX team using emails about this problem they responded and we had many Dialogues, Theys response about issue is fast if we compare, But at the end they not able to solve problem and it's still crashing, they must have to solve problem, there are also ratings about this problem. MUST IMPROVE!
I really love this app. It's simple, you can enroll in most courses (I haven't checked all yet but maybe all courses), and pay if you want the certificate (I mean, it's actually fair enough). The discussion feature is easy to use too. Thank you!
I feel that it give opportunity to learn new things if one cannot go through the university route. It's easy to use and learning something from the App that I'm not really exposed to It's encouraging. I'm still a beginner wrt using the App.
It's a really an absolutely great app like u get all the courses from top universities which is so amazing am glad I knew this app cuz now I can upgrade myself through the courses that I get from here even though I can't take it physically. Rly good job for app inventors. U gave me and others a great opportunity.
The pages do not fit on my phone with half the text cut off. When I emailed customer service, they said try landscape orientation or view in browser. Which also don't work. What's the point of the app then?
I can't keep the app open more than a minute since it keeps crashing. Constantly stops and I have to close but it does it every time. I have a pixel 4a....
The app genuinely provides informative study essential to each step of career development. I haven't had any issue regarding the app usage whatsoever. Still using the free course to see how far it could benefit to my field of work, might get the certificate if necessary.
Generally solid UX but I wish you could bookmark courses to a wish list and I wish you could save searches and I wish you could keep listening to a course in audio only mode with the screen off like on LinkedIn Learning.
Worst user experience both in the app and mobile web browser. Pages are shown half and scrolling option not working. Pictures and diagrams are not fully shown.
I'm currently taking a CS course on here and nothing so far in the app has distracted me from fully absorbing the information in the course. This type of learning is pretty much meant to be for both desktop and mobile, not for a purely mobile experience, but it has been useful when I want to watch lectures away from my computer.
Not bad, there are lots of interesting courses available in a wide variety of subjects. Its indeed much more better than YouTube as is goes in-depth
I wish the framing colors were blue or lila. This black framing all over the site is demotivating me because of its poor aesthetic appeal. But my learning about Chinese philosophies, Buddhism and Hinduism has been much more easy and interactive thanks to the easy-to-use sections (videos + discussion forums) of the app. However, the course designers insist on not giving the number of students for archived courses which is irritating!
The courses offered on these platforms were really helpful and will continue to help me in the future. However, I would like to suggest a feature where you can unenroll from a course in which you accidentally enrolled yourself or someone else enrolled you. This will be a great feature but overall, the app is great and the courses, degrees, programs offered are just on another level
So far, i absolutely love the concept. Gives you access to free material, with the option to purchase the certificates, offers full programs, and full degrees. The only thing I have an issue with is the filters lack a few things, such as course length and course type, so you end up having to scroll and click repeatedly if you're looking for specifics in those categories. And there's also no way to save programs to a personal list, so you can't just quickly access them, you have to find them.
It's a really good app. There are a lot of courses, the graphics was good, The system of learning was good, the videos were high quality; you can see how much effort they put into each lesson for the students to learn well. However, the app is operating much slower (when the user is switching from one thing to another) compared to the standard speed set by other apps. Also, the sorting of the results made by the search engine needs improvement
Brilliant app. It doesn't carry forward all the functionalities of the website but far more than I imagined. Easy navigation and access to brilliant courses from the best minds in the business. There is so much content for free and only verified courses/certifications cost anything. Thank you edX and all your partners for making this possible. I owe y'all a BIG ONE! Cheers!
