Useless information over sold! The graphing multi meter gives you a graph on your phone for live data. The graphs information you are getting from the live data is not able to be saved and looked over. The information given is mediocre for what your paying for the app developers didn't do much to make this a practical diagnostics tool. Being able to review the graph after recording and being able to slow the frame rate down are 2 very simple tools that could make this tool shine above all!!
Good but could be better. You don't pair this meter! Open app, hit connect, then your meter appears below the connect button, tap your meter serial number and it displays your screen. Don't try to pair like headphones, if you did pair, select forget device. Try again. Would like to see larger graph, lots of unused screen space with tiny graph at top.
Running android 9 on a galaxy s9 and the app wont connect, it just crashes. when it worked on my previous OS version it worked fair. it was glitchy and had to he restarted frequently. it could be a great addition to an amazing multimeter if they hashed out the bugs in it.. I wish you guys would fix it!
App seems to be in Beta state, great potential but not ready yet. Share feature dose nothing... just shows existing file name... Disconnects time after time... I think Bluetooth features is the main selling point for this multimeter which is not there yet especially considering price of device!!! Why there is popup window to confirm sub function, like to change ac dc with apply exit, that is 3 push, waste of time and anoing... Record starts with (square stop) button Why only portrait mode???...
im giving this application a 4 star rating because the meter works well. it does more than my old snap on meter. but the app is lack lusture at best. the app has updated constantly since i downloaded it upon the purchase of the meter. and it didnt work to begin with. but with every update it gets more and more seemless. a few more updates will do the trick. the purchaser of product should be patient with the app because they are crossing new territory. but doing their best for the consumer.
Purchased this last week just as an unneeded upgrade mainly to have and use Bluetooth and I've got it to connect only once since. Location on, cache cleared, everything they to try. Finds the matter and never connects though it says it does. Meter works fine so far but For the price and coming from Snap-on I expected allot more overall. Will talk to my rep, if they can't fix it I'll get my old one back.
For " the leading tool company" this app is terrible. I purchased this multimeter for the bluetooth capabilities. It worked ok the first few times. After an update it stopped working. Shouldn't need gps to work. And even with gps on, it still crashes every time you push record. For $800+ I expect it to work. Seriously considering returning it and buying from Fluke or Mac. Waited months for a reply from the developer, and it was not helpful at all.
This app is terrible, I've had it work on 2 of 12 devices and when it did work would only work for one or two uses and wouldn't work after that. This is the only reason I chose this meter, I work on million dollar yachts and cannot always see the circuit I'm testing while testing it. This product is a lawsuit waiting to happen
Does not connect with newer Android phones at all. Meter works but Bluetooth does not. Fix for newer android phones. Give us an update. The whole reason for buying this one was the Bluetooth capability which does not work
Very poor app, installed and uninstalled so many times, couldn't connect to the meter, tried everything, and gave up. Needs to be sorted as you are selling the device with the capability of connecting to a Bluetooth device.
Like many others, won't connect via Bluetooth. Very disappointed. That's why I bought this meter. It's pretty bad when a $10 pair of headphones from the Dollar store will connect and Snap On's advanced multimeter won't. Sad
Connects no problem on Android as long as GPS and Bluetooth are on. Would be nice if you could send graphing results within the app and not have to screen shot it. Storing graph results for use later would also be nice.
Nevermind, got it to work. Make sure the phone is not connected via Bluetooth before trying to connect with the app. Works decent actually, refresh is fairly quick.
I bought the meter so I could record data to show customers, but the app crashes everytime I try to record . The app needs more stability. constant issues connecting and recording
Have a galaxy note 8 had some minor issues with unit. With update will not find device or connect. It will not connect with my Lenova tablet either that has not updated and worked until last update app. The app still works on my iphone 5c work phone but with the age of the phone its hardly usable on a sunny day. I bought this as a AG/Construction tech to be able to test things by myself as i work out of a service truck. So this defeats the large sums of money i upgraded my from my EEDM604C.
unable to connect to meter. love the meter but the app is flawed no allowing meter to connect to my phone or tablet. hopefully they update this app to function properly when they do this review will be updated
awesome app by Snap-On makes life so much easier to view your meter readings when you cannot habe it in front of you, great for high end European and exotic vehicles.
Works for me. But a lot more potential. Possibly be able to save a record of the graph mode rather then just min max and avg.
A bit glitchy can need to be shut down and rebooted to get going. Graph needs to be bigger view. Tool is excellent app handy but could be better
Absolutely a waste of time, it doesnt work using a new Samsung S21. I am long time customer. They did NOT get this product app right. Looks like I should have bought a Fluke.
will not connect with lg v20. no problems connecting with other devices but the app does crash very often. meter is nice but app is so far no good.
So far unable to get it to connect to the meter with lg stylo 4 plus but it connects to my co-workers iphone 8. Meter is awesome otherwise.
For a 900$ tool you would think that app would be better then this. It's so bad I have thought about returning the tool itself. Maybe do some more app development before releasing a unfinished product. Disgusting!
since android software to android v9 app no longer works, the app will not even find the multimeter even though it would prior ro the update. This needs rectifying with the next app update
After a lot of help from my Snap-On rep this is now working. Five stars for his perseverance in helping with this. two stars for an app which ought to work better when it's not a cheap product.
Cant wait to return my EEDM596F I literally just purchased yesterday. The app doesnt connect to the EEDM596F no matyer what I do which is this tools ONLY selling point. Absolutely terrible app to pair alongside a decent multimeter. THIS APP IS TRASH
freezes anytime i attempt to adjust. for the near $800 i spent just now on a Bluetooth meter, im a bit disappointed.
Keeps crashing on Android, will connect fine if gps is turned on. But I'd rather not have it that way.
My meter will not connect to anything android. But works great with apple. Not worth the money to have blue tooth and not work.
This app is terrible. Will not connect to the meter on any of my Android devices. Defeats the whole purpose of the meter. My dealer told me I needed a newer device for it to connect. I have a new phone and newer tablet and still won't connect. The app does not see the device even after the info on the Bluetooth on the meter. This app is complete junk.
