Audio and video playback does not function unless screen is on and jumps back to the beginning if you the screen turns off or you navigate off the app. Very inconvenient and not practical. File organization and navigation is good. App login doesn't remember your password which is also a deterrent for quick access.
Great and easy to use. Saved my life a few times I needed docs that were not on me.
You can find many who provide data storage. None will come close to Egnyte when it comes to a 'secured data storage' with plethora of features to share any amount of data securely. Information Security and Data Governance is key..
The company I work for started using Egnyte about a year ago and will likely continue using until we can get our own massive storage network. The only issue, that I know about, is having to reset the application after computer updates, but I think that's the computer's issue.
It works well and what would make it 5 stars as if the functionality available is audiavailable on the computer was available on the app. There's no way to share folders and manage permissions on the app which would be extremely helpful for how we use this platform.
The phone app is terrible and I'm in the field so it's my main use.. It's slow and there's no guarantee that it will ever work. I have 20% confidence in this app. Definitely the worse app I've ever used for work. There's better out there.
Great security and access options! Great tools for offline synchronization! Gets the fifth star once it figures out a way to provide shortcuts/aliases that also synch down to local folders.
Would be better if they let you choose offline file access/sync to an expandible storage such as SD card in a phone or tablet. Hopefully this is a feature they work on in the future.
It compresses photos that I upload. So much time wasted! It used to have the corresponding setting, but now since it has been removed, I assume there should be no compression
very effective application for business team file sorting and collaboration. much less buggy than dropbox and much more reliable and versatile. this was clearly built with business users in mind.

Access files on the go and do all my needs without needing my laptop. It's great to get quotes out to new clients while on the road or in an airport.
How can I enable active sync for my camera uploads? Every time I have to manually upload the picture I take in my phone. I don't want to use the widget. I want to actively sync the folders on my phone storage with the folders on egnyte cloud. How can I do that?
Great app, works perfect. I'd give it 5 stars if I could send a file via email that has access to my contacts.
Too complicated. I just wanted to edit a doc on my phone, but I didn't want to have to get stuck in a loop of "one or more accounts has expired" and sales pitches for one drive.
Download doesn't work on the latest version of Android, viewing in gallery does not save the image. Stock S20+. You had one job. You get two stars.
Easy to use, especially the file sharing aspect. Really a game changer for the typical professional.
The lock out feature is frustrating. The co-editing is cumbersome and does not work as easily as Google.
Very poor customer service, don't get this thinking you can call someone who cares about your question... Very slow response times... If you can rely on their user forums and support articles on their site then you should be good...
User friendly, easy to use, it would be nice if I could add a number at the end of photos automatically for files with same name
I love this app. Clean interface. Simple to setup and use. No extra BS installed. just works.
Please be careful with Egnyte’s terms of services. The terms of service have an automatic renewal clause. And subscribers must terminate the service at least 30 days in advance of the termination date. Otherwise, the subscribers will be on the hook for another subscription period. Egnyte does not send reminders to subscribers in advance of the 30 days limit so subscribers who did not study the terms carefully (like myself) could forget to exercise their rights to terminate and be charged with the renewal fee. Further, Egnyte does not allow subscribers to change their annual subscription to a monthly subscription in the next billing circle. So the damages to annual subscribers will be huge if they forget to terminate the automatic renewal 30 days in advance. In my case, my annual subscription Egnyte ended on 20 March 2020. Since we decided to move all our files to Gsuite for Business, we wrote to Egnyte on 14 March to request to change the payment plan from 20 March 2020 to monthly payment. Egnyte did not make the change and asked us for the reason for a change instead. We planned to subscribe Egnyte for another month to ensure that we will not lose any document during the transition period from Egnyte to Google Drive. However, due to the complication of coming back and forth on the “reason” for change of payment plan, on 19 March 2020, we canceled the service altogether. But Egnyte relied on the fine print T&C and still charged us nearly US$ 1000 for 2021 subscription. That’s ridiculous. So be careful with this Company.
Sync was removed. It a now just a average cloud service at best, same as Google or Microsoft BUT NOT FREE

Super user friendly and extremely easy to use, good for both personal and business.
The fact I can upload more than one picture at a time makes this much, much more convenient.

Very nice app, we used at work but I love how well everything works.
it's stable. Big. Could use updating to work like explorer, including: drag and drop, shortcut key functions such as inclusive checkmarks via Ctrl +Shift combos Right click for new folder option, rename, etc., F key functions to rename, etc. It's just showing it's age and still a bit clunky to maneuver. I'm a long term user - more than 7 years - and have seen many updates and improvements. So am always hopeful they can stay competitive. They love the feedback and they respond!!.
