EGO Power+

garbage, I just had a long term power outage and this app does not show your previously entered tools, nexus in my case, unless you have an Internet connection. So I was unable to connect via Bluetooth and control USB and individual outlets. This is CRITICAL during an outage with a battery pack that will take hours to recharge. Ego, please respond. [Just to add that my first Nexus was also defective, didn't report charge level correctly.]

This app is junk it does not work, there is no "garage" tab anymore and the videos embedded in the app are just as usless. You have no means of connecting anything to bluetooth or wifi. It basically is a registraion device so they can get your email and send you worthless drivel..I think they probably make a good product but the app designers should be fired..totally worthless

The app is useless unless you want to use it to register your tools only... Any advertised part that says you can link your tool to your phone and monitor it, for example the power station, does not exist... And when you call support they are worthless about helping you... The advertised feature called virtual garage existed at one point, but no more... So again in short, only use this app to register your tools, but expect no support for them...

I'm very disappointed in this app. Adding tools by scanning QR code doesn't work. It recognized one tool and appeared to add it, but the tool doesn't appear in the tools list. I ended up adding my tools via the EGO product registration web page and when I go back to the app, the tools aren't listed and the only thing visible is a spinning progress indicator that never disappears. The app also won't show my profile information even though I entered it all on the EGO web site.

This app needs a lot of work 1. When you go and Register your Product the screen that has 1-done that should move out of The way because not every one has a computer they have a smart Device 2. The scan for the bar code all that you get is A Box with a plus in the middle and you can hit that + all day long and you get ZEP. 3. This app would be nice if I could use my Samsung galaxy tab s8.

UPDATE: I found an old Galaxy Tab S3 tablet in a closet. Bluetooth and Wifi work just fine on Android 9. I did a bit of testing along with Paul from Ego support and found that Android 9 and 10 work just fine with bluetooth and wifi, but Android 11 and 12 do not. This is as of version 2.2.2 of the Ego Power+ app. This has been reported to Ego for further investigation. So if you want to use bluetooth and wifi connectivity successfully with Ego Power + v2.2.2, you need to use an older Android device with Android 8.1, 9, or 10. Prior to version 2.2.0 on Android 11, bluetooth worked, but wifi did not. I can no longer test that since I don't have an Android 11 device any more.

I am able to connect to Z6 mower, was able to update firmware, and do registrations for 10Ah batteries, mower and charger. However, I could not register a 12Ah battery the same way as the 10Ah batteries. The app does not appear to support them. I registered one online later but it doesn't show up in my tools list. Additionally, it doesn't update the state of charge for the batteries while they charge. The estimate of time remaining to charge is ridiculously low (mins instead of hrs).

I am on my second power station because I thought the first one had to have a defective radio or something. Then I red these reviews. Either Ego is shipping defective products or the app just does not work. Tried on 5 android devices. All of them can use bluetooth & wifi. I hope it's not a firmware problem, because if so, we are all out of luck. You have to connect to the Nexus to update the firmware. 4/14/22 Still does not work after the March update. Tried on 3 Android devices.

It found my device from the QR code on the unit. But that was the only success. It would not pair to my WiFi. It was not recognizable by Bluetooth. There is no other option like a hard wire. So ... What's the app for?

All my equipment has ben registered. It shows my battery, but there is no wi-fi button to push on the app. I asked 2 other neighbors in my neighborhood if they used their app for the battery, and they both told me it didn't work. How can you make such a terrific mower and not hire a person to make the app useful? I can see how the app gets such horrible reviews.

Can confirm: trying to use Bluetooth to connect to the zero turn mower does NOT work. Crashes the app consistently (tried it via multiple Android phones: s9plus, s20 fe, pixel 6 pro). All of them have the same problem, requests access to location when turning on Bluetooth in the app and then crash. If you disallow location, then the Bluetooth doesn't crash... But it also won't try to connect to the mower. So essentially this app is useless for the zero turn mower.

The app needs work. It's buggy. I previously added the Cultivator Attachment to my list of tools (it's also registered), but now the tool has disappeared from the My Tools list. If I try to add it back, it says I've already added the tool to my garage. The tool does appear on the website under my registered tools. The app just doesn't show it. Also, the app is missing the attachments that should appear under the Power Head category. And the app (or the chargers) only works with 2.4Ghz WiFi.

Worked fine. The QR scanner for my charger and battery added a space at the end so it said the code was wrong. Removing the space fixed it. That's the only problem I've had with it

Doesn't connect to bluetooth. After registering my products the app deleted all of them from my account. Terrible bugs.

App is INCREDIBLE! Crashes every time I hit the Bluetooth button and I signed out of it only to never be able to sign back in.... on any device....ever. Why? Because it just won't. It does absolutely nothing and does it better than any other app I have.

I was having no luck trying to connect to my Nexus via Wifi. I then went into the apps permissions and allowed access to storage and location. After that I was able to finally connect.

Bad UI. Not intuitive. Cannot find the wifi connect.

App freezes when trying to setup wifi on battery charger. Cannot use the battery charged notification feature.

I guess I should have read the reviews before I started my attempt to connect my Nexus Power Station via bluetooth. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having issues, but disappointed to see so many people having issue with the app for "years" now, according to the review dates. I've been trying for over two hours to connect via bluetooth. I've turned everything off and back on: the power station, my phone, even my WiFi router. Bluetooth icon lights up as my phone tries to connect, then it just gives up. The app is no help. The website instructional videos are a joke (25 sec video which shows a finger hitting the button, really? And the images don't even look like the same app that I downloaded.) I've had to give up for now, because other chores need attention. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

Cannot scan in serial numbers from my product using the camera, it says "unable to see your serial number" I've got good light and focus. I've moved it closer and farther away to capture the whole product info or just the serial number itself. Doesn't work at all. So I used the "input manually" option and I keep getting a message saying they're having errors and to try again later. Then of course, since I can't get it registered it won't let me get it connected to bluetooth or Wifi :(

Works great when Internet service is available giving important runtime information, battery charge status for each battery, wattage usage and can turn on and off outlets using app. A major flaw with this app is it needs to load up and connect to the internet for it to work. If the internet is down, app won't load and the bluetooth feature can't be used to monitor power station power usage. Found that out when we had the power down in February for 3 days straight.

Wow, my last review was kinda harsh... Although I'm still not a fan of the *required internet connectivity in order to use the app (isn't that what the Bluetooth is for?) I'm at least happy to see that they've fixed a few bugs that were rendering the app useless. The one thing I need this app for is the NEXUS POWERSTATION for a more granular monitoring of the battery status and extra features that are not available on the unit itself. (i.e. switching off individual outlets vs the whole strip.)

You have to use this app to connect the newer turbo chargers to the wifi in order to get a notification when the batteries are charged. Unfortunately the app can only connect one of the chargers to the wifi, it cannot connect a second one (we have two of the turbo chargers and two 10Ah batteries to go with them). Also it would make more sense if the QR code scanner could automatically fill in most of the information when you go to register a tool/battery/charger for the extended warranty support instead of having to manually go through and enter it all in again.

Can't get the new turbo charger to connect to wifi. App always freezes after wifi PW is entered. This was after I had to remove/readd the charger to even get the wifi option to show. Even after products are registered, there is always a "Register Now" button. Most of the support options in the app don't work. The ego equipment is amazing, but their app is terrible!

This app does not show accurate info. The base station says charging complete but the app says 88% charged and all 4 batteries are showing less than 100% charge. I fully charged them on a regular charger and they still show not fully charged on the app after putting them back on the power station. I was told that this is the new and improved app. Yeah ok.

Installed so I could connect to my new EGO Nexus Station. Nope... nada. It won't connect to the EGO power station after activating Bluetooth on both devices. My phone doesn't find it. Is this the right app??? Also... none of the videos play on my phone. It's now uninstalled.

To actually get it to connect to my power station, I had to add it via QR code or entering the serial number manually. Nothing works if you simply add a device or assume you're ego accounts previously registered devices should connect. Bit of a pointless app anyway, the unit has all the same info on it. Plus, if power goes out, guess so will the WiFi?

I try everything I know, and I cannot connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. But I hope if my power goes out its generator will work lol

App (and devices) have issues. Nexus Power Station will not connect to wifi. I've disabled 5ghz, tried every combination of workarounds and nothing. Specific to the Nexus, it doesn't allow for pass-through charging. IE, it will not charge the batteries from AC or solar if the outlets are turned on. Want to charge your batteries from solar? You can't use power anything while you're doing it. Or in the event of power outages where you might get power back for 20 minutes. 1/5 stars.

This is a rally frustrating app. a) it does not work unless you have an internet connection (wired or wi-fi). b) The app can be used to monitor and manage the (excellent) Nexus 3000W inverter generator. Don't plan on using it for a power outage or jobsite when you have no internet. c) I have a work i-phone (work email address). Unable to log in to use the app as there is nowhere to enter the password after entering my email address. d) I have an android phone. The Ego power+ app is listed but with a clock with an anticlockwise arrow (whatever that means) and can no longer be accessed. (I tried to reinstall! Others have same issue - I asked to see if they could download). Ego tools are excellent - a pity their app programmers are nowhere near the same level.
