This would get 5 stars if the data were saved on external memory. It is now 2 years later and although there is a choice to install it on external memory, it does not work even with a fresh install. It is buggy at times when listening to the audio and will stop on its own and later in the day it will begin reading on its own even with the app closed. Love the content.
The app is great and easy to use. Very awesome work! My only earnest suggestion, is to put an auto scroll option. When reading, it would be beneficial to tap with two fingers, and allow the text to scroll down by itself as you read, with the option to control the scroll speed.
I love everything about this app and use it daily whether it's listening to a book or reading my daily devotion. The only thing that I wish it had was a highlighting option or a way to mark favorite selections. Also, since I switched to an android vs. Iphone, I can no longer copy and paste and the devotions don't show the sources like my iPhone did
This app allows me to move freely between books. I can search for words and phrases. I can highlight sections and save references. I have not explored all the functions and options yet. I appreciate the options that I have used so far.
Overall an excellent app with many books that provide guidance to the way we should live. Able to highlight and make notes. However sometimes the books will not load properly and you have to give it a day or two for it to reboot but overall an excellent app
This app is really great however if you're listening to an audiobook and you have to leave the page to look at something else or do something else whenever you go back to the audiobook you literally have to start all over first find the book that you were in and then try and find the page and paragraph that you were on and literally start all over I'm not sure if my defaults always back to chapter one but it might be looked into nevertheless this is a great app otherwise thank you
The app is very good. May the developers be blessed for such a wonderful work. My only suggestion is that if there is a way that the app can be improved such that one doesn't lose the downloaded content and also favourites like highlights it could be even better.
Thank you for your love. Giving us this resoure is so appreciated. I like the subscription part the best. I get to read a portion of several books daily. I can also look up parts of a book of study. If you could add the page numbers to the chapters in the books and devotionals, that would be super helpful
I like the new Bibles that have been added. I would prefer to have more font choices. My greatest difficulty is getting the settings for daily readings to work. Otherwise, I just love having this app on all my devices.
This is a very useful app. I love the study approach that it has where I can store my thoughts as I read, jot some notes and bookmark noteworthy passages to me. Thank you for opening a whole new level of understanding of Ellen White's writings. Also I love the live links to the Bible of quoted verses. Please work on the typo setting so the chapter title does cover the book title so it's neater to screenshot and send to others one is encouraging to read along.
I am devastated by the changes made to EGW Writings 2. It is cumbersome, to say the least, to change from one devotional to another (i read two daily)! I can't see continuing with this app. Such a shame! Is it possible to revert back to the previous edition?
After updating the version, all highlight colors are missing. Tried to set the colors but it's always deleted and have to start chose the colors. Help please!
There is an issue that when another running process/app comes to the foreground and in returning to the "eg white2 app it then restarts losing your current place. This should not happen!
Great app, i enjoy using it. I was reluctant at first because i liked the other one but this one is great. Two things i wish can be improved are: I miss the ability to select an entire paragraph just by tapping the sentences like in the old app. And i wish in searching you can select the specific book that you want to search in (maybe it's there but i haven't figured it out) Keep up the good work 👍
This app containing the entire spirit of prophecy, different versions of the bible and many other edifying spiritual resources some of which have been made into audiobooks is very simply and literally priceless and an incomprehensible blessing. It is great to have all these writings available at your fingertips. Even better, you can access your history to easily retrieve your latest reading or follow up on research.
Content and selection is good. I enjoy reading from the numerous options. One inconvenience is the highlights and bookmarks do not stay put. When I want to save my spot for next time. I place a bookmark, so I can pick up where I left off, only to find it missing next time I read. I also like to highlight certain good points, but those disappear too. So inconvenient and annoying.
Let me just say at the onset that I love this app and think it's excellent as an idea. For that, I give it five stars. However, the servers are PAINFULLY slow to the point that downloading the entire collection takes at least three days; and that's with a very very fast cable connection. Often, whilst downloading a particular book, it will just stop and sit there for hours doing nothing. I have to cancel the download, and start it again so that it picks up from where it froze. This isn't just an issue with my tablet, as I have it on two tablets and used to have it on my phone, and in every case the same thing always happens. As I'm typing this, I'm currently downloading the entire library again, after resetting my main tablet, and as usual, it's painfully slow, and stopping every now and again, so I have to keep an eye on it. TO THE DEVELOPERS: Would it be possible to have an option to just download one large package, with a script to install the contents after it has downloaded? Some people might only want a few books etc, or may prefer to download things when they need them, so keep the current method but also introduce the option I mentioned. Thanks. :)
Very well made. There is one thing who is missing and needed. It is something to control the repeated quotes. Like the one that are repeated in several books. I would like to know how many times one quote is use, and when I do a research have a possibility to have only the quotes who are not repeated. Thank you.
