I rented a car for a trip and they re still taking money without explanation. Another car i rented also the day after for 1 day also they took extra money 1aed for every km over 110km which law wasnt writing anywhere and i had to demand clarification. Moreover they took 2 other payments after without also explanation in the invoice. Its very unprofessional whatever they put in prices its a scheme its way more extra money. they keep charging you days after.
Frustrating how we can't find the information we need (like the mileage limit for a certain car) directly from the app and have to go and search for it in the website Also Very slow app to use. 3 stars for the service in general is good.
Worst experience ever.. i booked a car in Abu Dhabi and ended the trip in Dubai and was surprised that they deducted 500 dirhams as a penalty for ending the trip in another city!! Are you serious... nothing at all was mentioned anywhere that i should end the trip in the same city!! The company is operating all over UAE so what's the point. They just want to take any money from your pocket.. i even sent them an email and got no reply back. I am going to police to issue a report for fraud.
The cars are not good, very dirty not cleaned between rides nor checked, I rented a car for one day and the car were very dirty outside and inside, the smell was very bad and the worse when I ended the booking ontime, the application ending process toke more than 3 minutes and hence they charged me 51 SAR as an extra 1 hour for 3 minutes only taken to complete the process, the experience is very bad and won't repeat it anymore.
Pls dont use it... it doesn't work. Pathetic. I had to give 1 * so that that i could post the review Such a bad experience.... i couldn't unlock the car due to their technical fault, and hence didn't use the car. But i still got charged FOR WASTING MY OWN PRECIOUS TIME. Waiting and hoping to get it refunded ! Even if you need to contact them urgent..... their customer care number is 600 # , where there is no response... instead you get charged hefty for the call. Worst experience ever
Tried it few times and was alright, last attempt didnt go well since I couldn't scan the QR code with my mobile to unlock the car. All support call center offered was cancelling my reservation. I faced this issue in the past, but they managed to resolve it. It's not the right option if you're tight on schedule. I'm using samsung Note 8 and ekar app is updated to latest release.
Very bad experience, rent for 1 month and extended for another month, in the middle of the second month I had an emergency and I can not drive for the last 15 days of the rental period. I called them requesting to add additional driver name but very strictly they said "no, this is our policy" I said okay I want to return the car and get refund for the rest of rentalt period-around 15 days- same story "you can return but there is no refund".
Very slow and not trusted customer service. I have updated my documents and I received again the notification to update second time in the app. Its useless if your team don't do thier tasks perfectly.
The easiest, fastest and best way to rent a new car. Whenever you are, you always find nearby cars, just go a head and pick one very easily. Well recommended.
Not accepting RTA issued Dubai license as it is not 6 months old. Provided my Indian license, then they are saying it is very old I need to get a smartcard from India as per insurance😂. Outdated system is being followed. Putting blame on insurance company's policies. Nowhere it was mentioned and I gave my details trusting this app.
If I was 2 calculate how much it cost me this time to renting a ekar for only one day it would be equivalent to 4 to 5 day of renting at any other regular car rental company I don't think I will go ahead and advice any one to use there cars even I don't think I will ever use it. Am still paying for it even after 3 days am getting more bills to pay🤔🙄 I would like to deactivate my account immediately after making the payment.
Worst Experience with Ekar. The car was for 160 dirhams for 24 hours, later after returning the car they charged me for fuel not being refilled (ok fine, I guess my misunderstanding), but then they charged me for going over milage which is not mentioned anywhere and then on top that another 150 for not taking pics. Totally paid around 450 dirhams which is really disgusting. The right left tyre was leaking air and I had to refill the air in the tyre two times during my trips.
Their cars doesn't unlock. They dont process refund. They ask you to take refund un the wallet and they next time force you to take more expensive car. Very bad service, bad response time. Just don't use the service.
So bad service and they will deduct too much of your money for non renewable reasons. I really don't advise to try it There is another option "Udrive app" 2 hours cost 250 AED????? It's not make sense
Not terrible by any means. Best car rental alternative. Very reasonable Intercity bundles and pay per minute booking.
I'm Infront of the car and in a hurry. App isn't letting me upload my documents. Customer support isn't responding on the app AND no one is picking up when I call their call center.
There are no issues.You can book a vehicle easily.Low cost and brief reaction. Most ideal choice for Intercity travel.
Worst experience. I don't recommend this app and company. They are such a rip off. They continue to charge you card even after to return the car and charge you for fine that dosent even belong to you.
Absolutely stunning. You can get clean cars and Friendly drivers. The customer service is excellent too.
Bogus App It doesn't tell you how much your last trip costed, it only gives you last trip information It doesn't tell you which card is added so you wouldn't know if your previously added card is expired which happened in my case and had to pay 30 aed extra again it doesn't specify if that's a fine or what's that 30 aed for
This app. is awfull .I spent 2 hours next to Nissan sunny trying to finish payment and unlock the car but useless.They have charged me but the sum never appear in my balance.Now I just need my money back I forget about renting a car. In short its a painfull experiance.
There are no issues.You can book a car easily.Low price and prompt response. Best option for Intercity travel.
Very good service. I would love to recommend this car share organization It is very easy to register though since i got my driving license in Dubai 2 year's back I'm using ekar as i dont need to own a car or take the responsibility for fines and petrol so if you think like me hire ekar
The worst service ever. While having a problem paying with a new card for 10 AED Salik charge, I got late payment fees. When I called for assistance it was resolved, but I got charged anyway. It was refunded as credit, but they say "as an exception". I had the car for 5 months, I can't pay this! REALLY! I am not asking for favors, this is rightfully and what was promised clearly on the phone. COVERING UP for customer service mistakes doesn't really help fixing them. Step up.
