Elac SUB Control 2.0

Hit and miss. So, the sub arrives. I install it, and the app, and the sub does not appear on my list on my honor 8x. My GFs oneplus 6t seems to find it with no issues, as does the ipad. The app on my phone is constantly searching for subs. This is far from a good experience. If I didn't have an ipad or access to another smartphone, I wouldn't be able to use the sub. The move away from physical controls was never a good idea. Its a classic "convenience compromising usability."

Installs and runs fine on Pixel 5 running Android 11. Simple control of volume of subwoofer, plus advanced equalization settings. There's also a self-equalizing mode. It has you record a sequence near the sub, then go to the listening position and it records the sequence again. Sub sounds great anyway, a little better after I switched it to music mode.

I'm not sure what to think about this yet while using it with my new Sub3010. On my Galaxy S8 it found the sub and let me run the AutoEQ process but it never saved the data, even after multiple tries. Using my iPad Air with the IOS version it found the sub, ran the AutoEQ and did save the data. I've definitely knocked off points for having absolutely ZERO instructions available on the use of the app and I find this aspect of the app totally unacceptable.

Constantly reset the volume of sub. Forgets volume settings once you switch app. Nota good for 700$. Using lenovo zuk z2 android 7 nougat. EDIT/REPLY to Sci inc. Initially i downloaded the app, saw the sub 3030 and connected to it and set it up without a problem . After i set it up with the right volume settings it and leave on without signal for a day the volume would reset back to 90%. To add to this the volume control didn't work properly, it would only work correctly if I tapped ed at the right percentage(hard to guess on touch bar and actual number input would make this much easier) and would cut the volume to what seemed like 40% if I kept holding/sliding it. AFTER a recent update this hole issue disappeared for... At least for 3 days and I'll update if it stop working again. The volume works correctly now.

Using this for my new 3030. My auto on/off shows only auto on threshold, whereas on demo and screen shot here it has 3 options at the top, not sure if it's common. Also because of this, my sub always wakes up with a loud 'thud' sound. Can you share me where I can get the firmware for 3030? I only see firmware for 3010?

Bought a 3010 sub today and plugged it in and hooked it up to my preamp. I played a song and did not sound great. I downloaded this app and ran the Auto Eq and this sub worked its room magic and it sounds incredible now, good clean tight bass, not boomy. All the other controls seem to be working fine. Running on Google Pixel 4 XL

Total POS app. When you spend over $700 for a sub you should be able to control it's settings. All the settings can only be accessed by this app. The app stopped working today so the sub's settings can't be changed. Deleted the app and now can't even re-download it. Someone needs a swift kick in the nuts !!!! Just bought 2 of these 3030 ELAC subs and I may be returning them and buying subs with actual knobs and buttons. FIX THIS APP or shove it where the sun don't shine !!!

Was contacted by someone from the company and he told me they did a firmware fix and to upgrade the sub and the software would work. It does work now, only complaint at this point is it would be nice to have + and - along with the slider to better adjust the volume.

Good concept, minus the need of an actual control, move everything to app based. The controls are quite technical, there is no manual to explain what each function or switch. Another thing which I'm confused is that with the AVR calibration will it have conflict with the AutoEQ?

While this has many useful features. The lack of any kind of numeric scale on the volume control basically makes it useless for me beyond the initial setup. They could learn a thing or two from the SVS subwoofer app.

Its terrible, volume slider is rediculas. Nothing I select works. Used to be able to set level controls. That's all gone. This system is 5 sets backwards from the orginal. Software writers not testing. Same old.

Worked fine for my S10EQ, which I discovered was no longer turned on or connecting to my phone. Once I found out about downloading and updating the firmware on the subwoofer, things went smoothly. Samsung G8+ with Android 9.

Works well when it works. Occasionally use the app then return later and it won't connect. Have to force stop it and restart, then it works again. Ipad version does not have the same issue.

Since sub control 2.0 update there is a thud noise from subwoofer when app connects. Also, app ask for Bluetooth assess everytime opened and does not turn Bluetooth off after closing app. I would update my subwoofer firmware (have June update) but Elac website says October 2019 update is just for S10eq S20eq but not SUB3010

SUB3030: app was simple to configure and use. Knocked 1 star off as can't find any documentation for all settings. It would be nice if app supported updates on firmware.

I have an earlier version of Elac Sub Control which works with an older S10, until recently. Tried this V2.0 but does not work either. My subwoofer is now stuck with the last setting. Frustrating.

Are you kidding me? This app works like a charm with my Elac SUB3070. As soon as I installed the app it paired with my sub and placed me in full control. Easy to use the auto EQ function for enhancement of sub performance relative to your listening position. Love it.

Seamless. Opening the app and having the sub autoconnect so quickly is pretty sweet. Not to mention giving people to ability to tune the sub right from an app in your hand.

Used to work occasionally on my huawei phone. Does not work at all on my new one plus. Have now bought an SVS sub and the Bluetooth connection works every time. With no manual adjustment control on the back of the Elac 10 this is an elementary flaw in the design of Elac subwoofers.

Doesn't work for pixel and their support is terrible. Suppose to mail me a usb update. Never happened. Some manager tech was supposed to get back to me. Never happened. Junk.

Total scrap, can not connect, can not switch from demo mode to discover mode. Why can not connect to PC and do the setup via PC? I put my money into a garbage. Avoid from ELAC products!

Works great for me and seems to connect without issue. Updated the firmware on my sub to work with this version, also easy.

Works perfectly using Android 10. However, it doesn't work with Android 11. Please fix this soon or I will have to buy a SVS subwoofer instead.

This app actually works really well. I'm completely shocked to be honest. Ignore the bad reviews and give it a shot. It works really well. Worst case scenario you can quickly uninstall it.

Works fine with my S10Eq AFTER firmware update of the subwoofer. A notification in the app about this would be useful.
