Good all round, easy to use. Not sure why all the negative reviews. As a dealer I use this app constantly, and aside from an occasional need to reboot app(what app doesn't occasionally) it works great for my homeowner's, bars and restaurants. Most I read are subsystems not the Elan app , which points more to the installer , or 3rd party equipment

Seamless integration of the app with home. But not because of the app, but rather the team who installed it in our home. Talking about the app or elan as a product. It's probably the worst available smart home solution. Doesn't work with Alexa on most occasions.The app is primitive. But if you are in a country, where you can outsource the installation process, then they'll do a good job setting it up. It's been 2 years I have been using, there are no new updates, or a fresh look of the interface

I think they fixed the license issue since previous comments though it still has issues on the latest 8.3.8 fw. apple devices dont intercom out to phone like it's supposed to. only if app is already opened. otherwise never get push notification. samsung note9 vibrates a single time, opens app and drops call. if i do it again with app open it drops out, vibrates once, reopens and drops call. sonos drivers are still buggy. favorites storing on kp7's doesn't always work.

Appalling. (I am writing more on this app in December 2021). Dear ELAN, You need to either improve this app or go do another business. Honestly. After spending so much money on the ELAN system, this app is literally one of worst apps on my phone (and that's counting Nigerian made apps). I can't begin to count all the issues. I am tired. Just fix it. Please. Thank you.

constantly says waiting for challenge then times out, eventually after multiple attempts it connects. It definitely is not the network as I have an alternate Wi-Fi camera in the house on same network and connects seamlessly every time. this is a app to controller software issue!! very annoying and frustrating

The system integrator managing my Elan system said because of how problematic Elan is he may stop installing and providing support. It may be fine for very simple setups but it's a nightmare to manage and maintain. The app doesn't seem to follow android programming standards so you will encounter very strange problems due to Elan's proprietary solutions. Like good luck talking to someone at your doorbell if your phone was locked when they pressed the button! The micophone won't be active because Elan doesn't unlock your phone or allow you to do so (and they don't use the notification shade so you can't unlock and answer the call that way either.) Unfortunately if you're browsing for this software you probably already have the hardware so my condolences.

Useless! Every single time in the last 6 months I got an "unable to connect to controller" error. What is the point of having an app to remotely control your house settings if it only worked once? I rather not implement anything (at least there are no expectations). We are getting rid of this as of this week.

I have used elan for 3 years and I have had issues but finally got it right. Older models hardware were the problem And its all about the installation Note: do an annual maintenance such as updates. I let my elan rep handle it. Ps have a good switch where cameras can connect too.

Tired of getting "Flicker vertigo" from setting lights. It's easier to get up and turn the lights on/off as needed. Also, the attempts to program lights to come on/go-off doesn't work. Trying to operate this system without a user's manual is like flying a plane with no instruments to follow... you get nowhere fast & frustrated. Service techs will make a house-call for $$$, but not reveal "how-to" programming of system. I feel like a hostage to the ELAN corporation.

Always improving for sure. Controllers very stable. ELAN NEO interface very functional, but definitely would be better if you can make icons and Text a bit larger than it currently is, like the previous versions such as BLACK and BLACK IVIS.

Up there with my first marriage regarding costly mistakes. Dealer service only exists during installation then stops. Very limited useability. Corporate stands with dealer, if responds at all and in the end you get rid of the offending device to install a much more compatible device. Okay, exactly like my first marriage. Skip this disappointment and find a more friendly and compatible alternative.

I've worked with the Elan app over the past six to seven years now. It is not perfect but nothing is. I have found it to be quite excellent, quite user-friendly, and very convenient for my use in or away from my home

Elan doesn't play nice with other devices, programs. Currently can't access all functions of cable provider. Problems vary and surface randomly.

This app doesn't let me connect to spotify. It often times out and on the rare occasion it does connect it doesn't accurately show my playlists or content.

Internet connect has no problem but still lights don't turn onn every now and then. Pathetic software from elan. Earlier could see the lights turn onn and off on my phone for free but few months after installation elan is asking extra money for the feature. Big mistake I spent thousands of Dollars on elan 👎 wouldn't recommend anyone to install.

This app is forever problematic and when it works, seems to be short lived. Its either searching for a base or not able connect. Extremely disappointed with the maintenance of this app.

It's easier to just get up and change the thermostat.... it won't make selected changes. Keeps reverting to old temperature and spp Keeps crashing.

The best interface for controlling all your subsystems from one place! Clear, intuitive and well structured.

Such a great app and system. I love being able ty o control my whole home with just my phone. And I can be anywhere I have cell phone signal to do it.

Just had the recent update and the app keeps crashing over and over. Hopefully this can be fixed!

One of the best control systems on the market. Can control virtually everything in my home and away from home.

Just had latest update to controller had nothing but problems since the app keeps refreshing hopefully it will be sorted

If you down load this app for Android you don't get all the menu options. If you down load for the Iphone you get all the menu options.

The app needs to be closed and restarted, continually. This is on a Pixel 4a.

App gets sessions off when minimize it. And while reopening it takes time to work...

Great app just will not stay running in the background to receive alarm notifications on Android??
