The tense excitement of Elder Sign is now available for Android! Elder Sign: Omens places you in control of up to four intrepid investigators, as they fight to keep all-powerful Ancient Ones from invading our world through a museum’s arcane exhibits!

*Build a team of unique investigators
* *Explore an ever-changing museum
* *Face challenging arcane tasks
* *Save the world from absolute destruction**Expand the horror with two exciting in-app purchases*

Can you stand against the impending arrival of a malevolent Ancient One?

While Elder Sign: Omens brilliantly conveys the spirit of the Elder Sign dice game, a few noteworthy differences were adopted to optimize the mobile play experience:

-A limited number of available Ancient Ones streamlines the game play experience while offering adjustable levels of difficulty. Face Yig in normal mode, Azathoth or Tsathoggua in hard mode, or Cthulhu or Ithaqua in very hard mode (in-app purchases required to face Cthulhu and Ithaqua).-A number of subtle changes increase the peril of defending humanity. For example, the random negative effects drawn every midnight are more challenging, and the frequency of “no effect” results has been decreased. Monsters have likewise been altered to make them more difficult. -Finally, there are no Ally cards in Elder Sign: Omens, which further streamlines play while increasing the overall challenge.

Beginner tip: On the map, click on the banner on top to quickly flip trough and evaluate all the available adventures, to find which adventures are necessary to do, and which suites your current investigator. Click on your investigator to examine special abilities and items. This is absolutely necessary to have success in this excellent game. --- I love this game on PC, so decided to have it with me in my pocket as well. Very nice atmosphere, challenging game play - from easy to very hard. It has random dice determining outcome, but playing smart will beat the odds almost every time on all but the hardest difficulties.

Brilliant game. Has great artwork and great story. It is relatively hard but not to the point it is impossible or frustrating. I do advise new players to go through the help section to read the game mechanics as it does help a lot especially if you have no prior knowledge of the game, heck I knew the game beforehand and even I benefitted from a read through.

The graphics on this are really impressive for a cell phone game. There are some relatively minor differences from the tabletop version and it is harder. But for whatever it's worth, I have not lost on easy, and win about half the time on medium and hard. It helps to find the right strategy and combination of characters. :) But sometimes even then you get unlucky with dice rolls.

Very good, but I would love an option where you can watch the videos from each campaign separately after you beat them. I have now beat all but the final campaign and I have missed the atmospheric explanations because I didn't think and pressed the screen too soon and the video disappears. Maybe a double tap to skip, or adding the videos in as a separate unlock would be great. Also on the wish list are more individual "hard" difficulty campaigns. Really enjoyable.

Good port of the boardgame, however for new players its not very intuitive and can seem quite confusing. But if you take the time to read the help section to understand the rules, you will be rewarded by a very intense and engaging game. This is a hard game, don't expect an easy win. It is arkham light, but for a mobile game thats a good thing! Its quick to pick up and play on the run. I was skeptical of the dice mechanic at first, but there is plenty of strategy and tactical thinking involved.

I've played this game far and away more than any other android game. The completely unfair dice rolls makes it extremely difficult to win, but if it were any easier, I'd probably pay it once then never play it again. The expansions add huge depth and the different characters you can play change the playstyle for each game. It's thematically very strong, with Lovecraft vibes throughout, and the artwork is beautiful. And oddly the music score is the best I've heard in a mobile game.

Good game but a difficult game. An undo button would be nice for if you accidentally start an adventure, use the wrong item, etc. Having your money displayed beneath your sanity and stamina would be good. Most importantly I would like to be able to instantly concede an adventure when it is lost, like if you don't have enough glyphs left to possibly win. Instead you have to keep dragging glyphs one at a time until you fail and this wastes your time when you know it's over for you already.

I like this game a lot. Yes, it's very difficult. Yup, the odds are against you. I feel the difficulty matches the theme. Once you learn the characters' "special powers" and utilize them wisely, I'd say I win a third of the time on all but the insanely hard missions. No, it's not a great story game, but I find the atmosphere (artwork, music) to be very effective. I don't find the dice to be "unfair."

I think this is one of the best Games/App out there- very, very fun-- also very tense!!! I've let monsters multiply on purpose just to see which ones show up! *** For the Developers*** ----This game is really impressive! Every scenario is tailor-made-excellent for each evil entity. The endgame SCORE rating system would be better if perhaps the player was given a complimentary title as a rank, like "Legendary Investigator," with various titles depending on the final score. Right now, the numerical score at the end is kind of lifeless and pales with the winning feeling of beating an incredibly hard villain. Otherwise, with that exception, I wouldn't change a thing. --Best, Dan

Graphics are great, other than that, eh. Would have been a fun game if it did not intentionally set you up to lose. On multiple occasions I was close to winning then the game locks one green dice leaving me only 5, and giving me quests that require 5-6 dice to complete. Burned though all my items pretty quickly and now it is impossible to win. If this would have happened once or twice I would have thought it was just a coincidence. But it happens in about 75% of the time. Dont waste your money.

Well done developers! For the Lovecraft fans definitely a must have. The two expansions are worth purchasing as they are really well done and not pricey! The music, graphics and the atmosphere are on spot. As for the gameplay, it can be challenging and requires upfront and careful thinking. Some people will find it difficult but this is Lovecraft so it's not ment to be easy. Mythos and doom are different from game to game. Sometimes impossible to beat, but it doesn't take the fun away.

There's no tutorial, so you're dropped in without any idea how to play. Be prepared to flip back to the help menu frequently. The gameplay us confusing, and the difficulty is insanely high, even when playing an "easy" boss. I've attempted 4 playthroughs and have utterly failed each time. The "adventures" boil down to RNG luck, and you will likely fail the majority of them. All in all, I'm majorly disappointed.

An unwelcoming experience. I'm sure it's a faithful adaptation of the tabletop game, but as a new player it's not a good intro. 0 tutorial or demonstration. There's some kind of rules section in the pause menu that the game doesn't tell you is there, and that's it. It doesn't even prompt you to read it before you start playing. The UI doesn't do a lot for the game either. You can't preview items before you play them, why? And if you don't roll well from the very start? Game over in 2-3 turns.

I've played this on/off for several years. If you like strategy, dice, monsters, and time sensitive situations this game is for you! Sure RNG is a major factor here but some games are carefully crafted with dice for unpredictability. The Ai may have been fine-tuned finally, it no longer feels like a continuous 75% probable brutal beatdown. In short it's a game about ordinary people thrown into a dire situation that MUST close portals to stop a world ending monster. Stranger Things Anyone?

Addicting game, once you get over the learning hump. It's strange that there are so few monsters (4) compared to the board game counterpart, when they already have the artwork and could just paste it into the app. Maybe this is meant to be a teaser to prompt people to purchase the board game? Expansions are worse. Why pay the same cost as the base game for just one more monster? Aside from that complaint, and an obvious rigging of the dice (which can be mitigated with smart play), great game!

Very luck dependant but dripping Eldritch ooze all over the place! :D Graphic might look dated and pixelated on newer devices with bigger screen resolution. Decently fun but prepare yourself to lose a lot.

Often comes down to blind luck. Sure you can prepare for encounters and make the best of a bad situation but at the end it always comes down to rolling the correct signs which means you win or lose purely based on luck. The amount of times I had to re-do an encounter just because I couldn't roll the last thing I needed I can't even tell you. It's infuriating getting both a win and a loss you feel like you don't deserve. The game is a good adaptation of the board game too bad the game is annoying

Unfortunately the 'random' dice rolls seem to be completely fixed against the player depending on what glyph symbols are actually needed. Adventures with terror effects miraculously seem to conjure up numerous terror glyphs but when you actually need one you roll nothing. Unless the rolls are genuinely random then it ruins a key aspect of the game. It's a pity as the artwork is nice.

I would like to amend my former 1-star review. This game is geeat fun but it is not intuitive. The rules (Help Menu) are insufficient to relate the nuance required to succeed at this game. Watch one of the many Youtube playthrough. Wretch Plays has an excellent set of videos for this game. Watch the videos and give it a second chance. I'm glad I did.

Don. S. Jul 28, 2021

As numerous reviews have stated the game is needlessly hard. The dice rolls do feel heavily stacked against the player with the requirements for success set needlessly high. Like needing 4 skulls when the dice feel rigged as is. I had similar experience where I could not get even one success in a few games. I could only watch my team die one by one. I regret buying this game.

A frustratingly difficult game of luck where you basically have to get lucky from start to finish. It's so unfair how much luck is required and how many dozens of times you have to restart until you roll perfect dice. This is like FTL on hard mode, but without the fun.

Awesome game! But it isn't something you can just turn on and figure out in the first few minutes, but after about a day of playing I'm finally beating it on easy. It'd be nice if the developers had a how to video in the help section. I bought the 3 expansions anyways, absolutely worth it!

A mediocre deck building affair whose engaging artwork and well judged musical score can't overcome its dryness. That said, I was fairly engaged with the meta-game, before discovering, on completing the four basic challenges, that the three locked campaigns (which I'd anticipated were the meat of the game) actually represented another £7 worth of paid content!. Fantasy Flight have shot themselves in the foot with this measly subterfuge as I won't buy another one of their apps again in a hurry.

Bought this game yesterday and I love it! The story is clear, the graphics and the music is awesome! Took me a long time to read through the help section since there wasn't a tutorial to help guide me through everything and I wanted to understand everything and not leave anything out, but I got through it and after a while of playing, I got the hang of it! Keep up the great work!

I love Elder sign, however, there are a lot of game problems in this game. For instance Sister Mary is not suppose to be affected by terror, she still gets damaged. There are quite a few of these problems. Its a fun game when I cant get out the real game but you never know what error you will run up against.
