Couldn't register. The app wouldn't send the sms... I contacted support wich solved the issue very quickly. App is very useful, thank you!
I'm sure they will get there but there are still a few inconvenient features. For instance, it's not easy to see the complete address of a charging station.
Our first experience using a charging station on the Circuit Électrique network was entirely positive. It took a while for the charger to reach peak throughput (perhaps because of the cold weather?) but then it went well. Bien réussi!
Getting better but not as good as ABRP. No dark mode in android auto for driving at night. The map is static, not good for navigation. No usefully information in the charging pannel in android auto.
The new layout looks nice, but functionality is missing. I can't configure notifications at all, but get none even though they are all selected all the time. My current charging session is often never showed, and it's late if it does. The only thing it does right is show me which stations are in use. Not even sure if I trust it to add funds to my balance. Please update again and I'll update my review.
The old app worked flawlessly, now it's just a nice useless looking app. I used to be able to charge my car at my employers station without a card. Because it's a private station it didn't show in the map, just by entering the station number I would still be able to charge. Now it doesn't work anymore... Please fix this issue or better yet roll back the app! We don't need good looking UI we need better working apps. Thanks.
The old app was working very well, now there are several useless more taps needed to be done to arrive to the same result. Lesser design. The characters are too small and the map doesnt show our actual position. It doesnt show the id number of the station right away. Why change something that works?
Available when I arrived. Started up immediately and smooth throughout.
reporting problems with the stations it's not useful
Using the app without signing up was buggy and I ended up charging my car at home... When I registered/signed up the experience was good.
Extra star when route calculations take more providers in consideration. Especially outside EC installations (e.g. ON, USA). Update Dec 2021: getting there with Chargepoint partnership... More coming I hope!
Great app, works very well! Only problem I have is that the search doesn't work as well as Google maps!
Excellent and now integrated within android auto. AWESOME. Add more charging networks and this will be the main app for Canada!
Love it! Though some errors on availabilities (IT or Plug?). I know it's not related to the apps, but I'd like to express my opinion on the 2.5$ per session, no matter the length : this cause people to leave their cars plugged the whole day, therefore the charging station unavailable for others. These stations are public, not private.
Overpaid 3 times already because the notifications don't work anymore. I used to get sms and email notifications when the charge was done. Everything is activated but I get no notification except for the new timer notification feature which is not accurate (I set a timer for 3hrs and got it after 3h50). Also, the active charge gets erased if the phone reboots which is also annoying. I find the new itinary feature pretty much useless without android auto integration.
Charging is very expensive, roughly equivalent to the cost of gas to drive the same distance (and my ICE car is a hybrid!) and the only time I've used the system I saw a Leaf owner with plenty of credit on his app struggling, and failing, to connect. However, I was able to connect and charged up quickly. I'll use this service when I have to but I have so many free and reliable available options that it will always be a last resort.
On Android Nougat or older versions, the app works fine. On Android Oreo, clicking on any text field does nothing (so filling forms and making transactions are impossible), but the map itself and "my stations" and "my session" tabs still work. On Android Pie however, NOTHING works: I can't interact with the map nor the tabs AT ALL...
Old app worked. New app (including june 13 version) still cant activate free stns with $0 balance stating "insufficient funds" error. The helpful phone agents, after verifying acct and station ID, still need to wrestle with their computers for a few minutes just to activate remotely. Shouldn't be this hard to start a session.
I had no idea about Electric Circuit until I found an EC charging station near my lodging place in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. I downloaded the app, added $10, and used it to charge my car immediately. I have found that I can use it to charge my car on any charging station in at least Quebec including those belonging to other companies. This is not the case for ChargePoint which failed to start charging at some stations while EC app succeeded. It would be ideal if they could charge the actual amount to a registered credit card instead of requiring adding fund first with $10 as the minimum.
i have been using this apps for a few months however i just upgraded from android 8.1 to 9 and now the app cant activate chargers or add funds to my card. clicking buttons has no response however the map works. favourite stations are also inaccessible after loading tge favourites screen. note 9 phone.
It's a paid service, and now they shove trash advertisement in the map when trying to locate a charger.
Super easy app to use, spot availability usually up to date too. directions with waze and Google maps great, wish it would be more clear when charging stations are within paid parking lots or complexes though!
App is great, few minor bugs here and there but nothing major. The hourly rate is really unfair. On a 7.2kw station with a car that can charge at 7.2kwh you pay 14 cent/kwh but most plug-in hybrids can only charge at 3kwh. This means you pay 33 cent/kwh! There should be an option to limit the charge rate and pay less than 1$/h for the first hour or two. This would make public charging much more appealing to plug-in hybrids. I rarely use public stations as it's almost as expensive as using gas...
Would get 5 stars if it integrated with Flo or CP stations. Great app
Price gouging. This already cost twice as much as charging at home. Now they want to raise it. Their excuse is to build more infrastructure but it's just to bring in more cash. They could build all the infrastructure they need and will never bring the cost back down. These jerks take advantage of everyone with only money on the brain. Do the math. There is no reason to do this. Anyone with half a brain could build this system up without changing the cost.
