Electric Circuit Studio

This is a free version, which contains ads. The "PRO" version without ads is named "ECStudio". The full documentation is available at ecstudiosystems.com/help
There you can see that labels (grey border boxes) can be moved and switches can be switched using long tapping, etc. We also recommend to view the Screencast Tutorial on our YouTube channel.

Electric Circuit Studio is a set of tools used for building electronic circuits, SPICE simulation, and calculation of circuits. These tools are complemented by the information center containing resources, connector pinouts and short interactive book explaining basic electrical theorems, laws and circuits. It is a useful application for all electronics hobbyists, students, or other people with an interest in electronics.

β€’ Schematic editor and SPICE simulator
These tools allow easy creation of circuit diagrams and SPICE analysis of the created circuits. The simulator is focused on visual representation of simulated results, such that simulated voltages and currents can be placed elsewhere in the circuit, as a text or graph. Moreover, the magnitude and polarity of voltages and currents can be represented by visual indicators, so you can check the results quickly. All results can be additionally displayed on the top plot, where they can be explored using two cursors.

DC, AC and Transient analyses are supported.

The simulation can be run repeatedly (in Transient analysis) and results can be displayed consecutively with a user controlled speed (in all analysis types), or all simulation results are displayed immediately. When the results are shown consecutively, you can control parameters of circuit elements by the seek bar and see the change of results in real time.

In AC analysis, you can display the magnitude, real value, imaginary value and phase of voltages and currents.

The schematic editor supports undo and redo and also working with several selected elements. All elements except wires allow proper rotation and flipping of the text inside elements.

Supported elements: wire, ground, resistor, capacitor, polarized capacitor, inductor, DC voltage source, pulse source, sinusoidal source, DC current source, text, picture, diode, zener diode, LED, transistors (NPN, PNP, NMOS, PMOS, NJFET, PJFET), logic gates (NOT, AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR, XNOR), SR latch, D flip-flop, T flip-flop, JK flip-flop, operational amplifier, 555 timer, LM317, LM337, 7805, 7905, VCVS, VCCS, CCVS, CCCS, potentiometer, transformer, switch SPST, switch SPDT, open push-button, closed push-button, relay SPST, relay SPDT, crossover.

Models of diodes and transistors can be inserted through the shared directory.
Screenshots and exporting the whole circuit are also supported.
Wires are drawn using autorouting or they can be drawn manually using single-segment lines.

I simply could not get to grips with the convoluted UI. A shame. But if I have to Google how to set a DC voltage, it's pretty certain I'll be too stupid to deal with complex schematic editing.

Excellent work! Still new to all of this but I have a new found passion for electronics. This app has helped prototype some ideas whilst keeping things simple enough for me to understand and not feel too overwhelmed. Great work flow. Easy to use. The ability to see extra information about current flow, etc. helps guide me when I'm trying to grasp more difficult concepts. Not too many adds either. (please keep it that way for others) I will definitely go premium. πŸ‘Œ

It's very useful, it has some animations at the moment of the simulation to see how currents goes. For me the best thing is that you can see charts and plot the signals along the simulation. It is very interesting and useful. However, it was difficult to me to understand how the plots works and how can I Select the variable I would like to see. It's an awesome app

The user interface is good enough but needs improvement. 1. No option to search components instead we have to slide through the bottom menu. 2. Very few components available. No option to search components on an online basis like cloud or something so that we could download and use specific required component plugins. 3. No option to change the value of current we get from the power source! Why only voltage can be changed and current cannot??? That's the biggest downside of this app!!!

Great app!! Just one question: Can I set the number of decimal places of the Voltage/Current values? It is always set to one only and I can't seem to find where to change it.. At least 3 decimal places will do in my opinion. Thanks!

Ads, damned ads. I get it. Nobody does anything for free on a phone app. But the way they're done here is ponderous. If you're inputting a circuit from an existing design, this is fine, but I'm inputting one from my head. I added a voltage source and when I went to set the voltage, I got a damned ad that I had to look at before I could set the voltage. Will I get one when I set a resistor value? Talk about a concentration breaker.

I'm very content, specially because my phone is old and still, after a little digging in options, I managed to plot a graph for a RLC circuit, which I'm gonna print in the college's printer tomorrow (it's for homework!). I just want to know if is there an export, like of an image of the current screen. If there ain't any it's ok, I keep screenshooting -- again, I am extremely satisfied, I'm currently without a PC and this totally gonna save me. Thank you so much!

When i open the app, it starts to rapidly going back and forward in the canvas. I tried creating a new canvas but still the same. The app looks cool bun i cannot use it.

Not easy to deploy a phone app that draws schematics and simulates circuits. This entry is not without flaws but it is somewhat faster than pencil and paper. The best drafting solution, perhaps, is to build your own component library in a fine vector editor. This work is significantly front end loaded. Actually constructing a circuit is always more accurate than any sim; and carries costs of its own.

I love this app. It has it's small bugs here and there, but overall it's great!!! I wish the app keeps getting updates. Like more tools to work with. In the future can you add like solar panels, charged controller, and more. In the moment my club is trying to make a solar car and using this has helped us just keep it clean and easy to share. Please keep updating it and fix the bugs.

The App has rated itself to 5 star. UI (user interface) can always be improved,, As a guide, the simApp ( EC) has a great UI (display + interface),, in my opinion,,, eventhough its reletively a crude sim... A lot of screen space is wasted, 1_Specially at the top... All that space could be added to DISPLAY..!!! 2_The display could be made touchscreen..so displayed waveforms could be manipulated.. In both X,and Y axis...!! The App. As a whole is the best ever.

It a nice app, it helpful to my study and it simulation is also good but some simulation is missing like microphone and some of them, I think you will add in a new update

Excellent application. Too much easy to learn, create and simulate circuit.

The background of text and the text itself are the same colour for me. Only when the text is highlighted you see the difference. Currently this makes a lot of the apps' features unusable for me. I am not sure what causes the problem. If needed I could provide additional information, if you wish to find the cause of the problem.

Simulations are tricky to setup and don't match real world results. There are no real world component databases to pick from, so it takes a lot of flicking through datasheets. I tried simulating a few N-Channel MOSFET switching circuits, but they just didn't match the results I got when I wired up on a breadboard. Very disappointed.

This app is great but please make it the same as Multisim on PC. Tons of components are absent. It helped me a lot but there so much space for improvements. Please just update regularly and keep adding components and other features and people will stick with this app as their go to circuit simulator, including me. Please add function generator and many other components, I cant do my lab on this app because of lack of components. I emailed the developer 5d ago but no reply from themπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

Pretty good app, however I already stuck at two problems: 1) I download from the app's menu web circuits that show led simulations with lighted led's, but when I simulate them they don't light up; also in any simple led circuit I make they don't light up 🀬 2) switches, in simulations, should have on and off states, to really see the way the circuit would simulate ❗❗❗

The apllication has very terribly designed interface, it is totally counterintuitive and all messy. You cannot work productively with this app. You will spend all your time on fighting with the interface. It should be reworked from scratch.

jos. Oct 2, 2019

I looked at the reviews for this app and thought I would give it a go. Unfortunately the interface for the app is hard to use. There are lots of symbols and components you can use, but for the beginner still learning those symbols like myself this is no good. I tried to create a simple light circuit with no success. You cannot change the voltage nor could I find a battery (cell) symbol. I'm sure for the expert this is fine but for me. Definitely no good.

1. Excellent app for effective use of smart phones and tablets. 2. Very much useful for most of the academic implementation of analog and digital circuits and certain design tasks for three types of analysis : transient, dc circuit and ac circuit. 3. Very good plotting and indicator features for dc and ac values 4. There are advanced features like web components, custom components and web circuit.....

Was. K. Nov 9, 2021

It has good interface and also nice simulation. But connecting wires is difficult. Instead of selecting wiring option everytime there should be option to connect leads by touching the points. Also speakers giving sound output will be great

Pm. A. Nov 14, 2021

Anyone else getting an " error downloading list " when trying to open web circuits or web components. It used to work until recently . Back to 5 stars if this is fixed and a better wiring option is made available as someone else suggested.

Love this app, although at first it was a bit difficult to use. Over time I began to get used to this application. But the ECS youtube channel needs to be more extensive such as building various types of circuits such as Op-Amp Circuits, Filter circuit, summing amplifier and others. When we must change circuit properties settings, SPICE setting and so on.... I managed to settings all of this by reading the ECS page (A little troublesome) but with videos everything will be easier for beginner.

This app is great..very easy to use...i really like the book because i can review different examples of circuits...creatibg a workibg circuit is simple and testing is easy as well...out of all the circuit simulators i have tried this is the best one i have used that is free...

cod. s. Sep 7, 2019

The app seems good as i am still learning and understanding electrical circuits im just having some issues with the switches. As i toggle switches on and off nothing changes. If this were fixed it was improve the app.

Aar. Sep 17, 2021

Trying to fix some wiring on a trailer. I thought this might be helpful to maybe map and draw out a simple wiring diagram. But this is far too complicated for a regular schmuck like me. It looks like it'd probably be pretty handy if you're an electrical engineer or are savvy in circuitry though.

Edit: I couldn't find the symbol for potentiometer for use for guitar design. I shall have another look as apparently "it is hard to overlook these symbols". Whoopsie! Actually it was super easy, barely an inconvenience. I didn't realise the symbols carried on to the side.

Very good and more helpfull app in designing electrical & electronics circuits, but still need to add more components. Finaly I can't find components which I needed in the web components in this version 2.5 even if I was connecting to the internet,it just few components. 😯
