And while perhaps obvious, if you change from an Android device to an iPhone or iPad, you WILL need to buy a new license as they are incompatible.
In addition to built-in help, the ElectriCalc Pro electrical code calculator is fully compliant with 2014, 2011, 2008, 2005, 2002, 1999, and 1996 NEC®. Future NEC code updates will be available for in-app purchase as they are released.

Description of ElectriCalc Pro Calculations:
• Work directly in and convert between Amps, Watts, Volts, Volt-Amps, kVA, kW, PF% and EFF% and DC Resistance
• Calculate wire sizes per NEC® 310-16 and 310-17; Copper or aluminum, 3Ø/1Ø, 60°C, 75°C, 90°C insulation ratings and 100% or 125% of ampacity. Can also adjust wire sizes for ambient temperatures other than 30◦ C and for more than three wires in a raceway
• Integrated voltage drop solutions. Find minimum voltage drop wire size, maximum Length for any given wire size, voltage drop percentage, actual number and percentage of Volts dropped
• This calc contains conduit sizing for 12 types of conduit. Per 2005 and 2008 NEC® Table C1-C12, find sizing of all common conduits for any combination for #THW, #XHHW and # THHN wires. Plus, gives fill percentages, cross-sectional areas, remaining areas and more
• Find Motor Full-Load Amps per current NEC® directly in the calc. Works in 1Ø and 3Ø with the new expanded tables for 3Ø induction (to 500 hp) synchronous (to 200 hp) and DC motors per NEC® 430-247, 430
- 248 and 430-250.
• Calculates Fuse and Breaker Sizes. Solves fuse and breaker sizes per NEC® 430-52

Since I'm old & retired from electronics & electrical work, it's a useful help and more reliable than what passes for my memory these days. I do wish this company revived their old statistical process control and quality assurance calculator again. That would be useful as well.

I am a student studying electricity and between this calculator and the ugly book, Electricity finally became understandable no more looooong formulas...
I'm an electrical engineer and I find this to be a very handy tool for doing quick calcs.
As a student studying residential electrical this is an amazing calculator. It definitely will help during the duration of my education as well as once I am out in the field. Super excited. All of CI's products are truly amazing.
Nice replication of a current standard. Very useful. Would be nice if you could also switch to a different UI that would be more suited to a touchscreen device, and make the relevant information more readily viewable, ie. an editable (printable) list view of all the parameters input by the standard interface.
Has many functions and capabilities. Used the unit version for years. This app will make one less thing to carry around.
Well worth the money if you need to do electrical calculations. I'm not an engineer but I like to figure out things as quickly and easily as possible and this calculator seems to fit both...thanks for making the app for android....Danny
I wish I could move to sd card. If you pay for the app you would think you'd be able to move it to your sd card.
crashed after I ran a few calculations! not sure why theres vid of physical calculator in market. very different than app. I love CIs physical calculators but this seems a bit buggy and rushed. not worth the price imo.
Worth every penny if you are involved in the electrical field! CI's products are all top notch professional tools!
The best app for all electricians
Better than the physical calculator. Only wish is that it would list the voltage entered on the screen. I spend a lot of time double checking my voltages. It would be great to see amps, voltages, distances on the display. Other voltage drop calculators have this option. With that said, this is still the best calculator in the app store.
