Unable to change the page layout - I update it on the app but it isn't reflected in the Bolt (v1) even though it's connected to my phone and the app and device firmware are up-to-date. Also drops connection with my phone randomly during a ride, and won't show Strava segments even though the accounts are linked properly. When it works, it's great, but it doesn't work consistently.

Hangs a lot lately. Firmware update process for head unit is tedious, and I see no clear indication if update is successful. Also, why do I have to enter wifi router passcode into head unit when the phone facilitating the process with the app is already on the network? This is pretty standard for any smart phone enabled smart device. User experience for the device itself is pretty good. Would like to have a feature where I can disable or send message to lost / stolen head unit.

Overall good, though less straightforward to sync routes to device than my partner manages on garmin. Periodically they release an update that seems to make things worse, until some googling suggests a way to resolve the issue eg to delete pre-loaded maps to free up space on device.

Broke again. Won't sync with Ride with GPS. I have to email the routes to myself and then open up in the app to save it....now the tickr will not reconnect if the ride is paused... c'mon man. We spend a lot of money on this stuff and you guys keep breaking it.

I simply cannot fault the app. It has worked perfectly every time and both it and my Elemnt Bolt 2 have been a delight to use. Sure, out on the road there have been a few 'features' crop up but the Wahoo support team have been great.

I love this app, but at present my phones not able to sync my routes on the element. Even after deleting renewing stava, ride with GPS and komoot.plesse help. Tried all you tube clips, wahoo info, has been fine over the last few months, now lost all the routes on the element. Just not syncing.

Such a great new icon. How unlucky that with updating icon you broke some things regarding connection between app and device and now it takes hours to pair phone and Bolt. Great work, guys! Surely pretty icon is much more important.

Why do I get a silly video when I open this app? And then a scanner to read the qr code, which is no longer visible on the elemnt roam. My phone and roam have already been paired. Very frustrating. No cancel available.

Used the app to setup my new Bolt2. Everything worked first time, from registering to pairing, updating and adding routes, it was flawless. I had none of the problems other reviewers seem to have had.

When it is working its a fine app. But the software is so buggy I regret almost every update I let it perform. Takes an update to repair the last update. I dont want to mess around for half an hour before a ride to get my route on the device. I am using the Elemnt Bolt Computer.

Having no luck syncing via the elemnt app for the last week or so. Hopefully you can get the bugs worked out quick. being able to send route to device is the main reason I bought the roam

Garbage app. So often it won't pair or connect. I've just uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to try a new way and I can't even log in. The circle just goes round and round in infinite circles. It's been so hit and miss over the years that you end up repeating the same actions with mounting frustration cos it will occasionally do what you wan to be it to do. It's a lottery, though. Then it will work seamlessly for months and then suddenly it's back to its old tricks. No rhyme nor reason.

Previously worked as expected. Currently fails to upload routes to device via Bluetooth. Have to use WiFi to sync routes now. Android 12, Pixel phone. If it starts working again, I'll revise my rating.

Doesn't upload routes, and doesn't connect to Strava or Ridewith GPS, doesn't connect to wi-fi either, everything it tries to do causes it to just hang...very frustrating and renders it useless.

Not too impressed with the companion app so far. constant freezes(app screen turns white) while setting up my new bolt color. Sony Xperia 10 iii with a a 21:9 screen aspect ratio and Android 11, 6gig ram.

Was awesome! Nowadays the bolt fails to upload on WiFi and even when connected to the app I often have to manually push the rides to Strava. Issues getting RWG routes on the Bolt. This is a known new bug. Sounds like limited testing is being done for the current releases. Downgrading the review.

All functionalities concerning connection to Wahoo Elemnt cycling computer is fine. What I want to comment on is the poor route suggestion by the "take me to..." function. As of now (2022) the app still suggests the most impossible route presumably based on a simple criteria of shortest distance. No improvement seen in this area since the launch of Elemnt in 2017. Routes suggested by Google map on the other hand, are actually reasonable & makes sense. "But Wahoo isn't as big as Google" - No excuse. If Wahoo can't suggest a ride-able route via it's app, then they should come clean and delete the "take me to" function.

My elemnt roam will not stay connected to WiFi after exiting the app. I have to open the app and connect to WiFi each time now. Never had to do this before.

I've always been a fan of Wahoo, but recently my Element Bolt has stopped pairing with the Element App. I've tried deleting and reinstalling it a few times, which seems to bring a temporary solution but it reverts to being unresponsive after my next ride. Not sure what's happening but this is becoming frustrating. Please sort this out Wahoo!

No longer pairs to phone, app therefore useless and lots of ride data lost as reset Bolt and app to try to fix the issue. Looks like lots of people having the same issue.

The hardware (New Bolt) seems good enough. On the other hand firmware and this app are constant embarrassing. Hire experienced devs or even better make it Open Source. After all we all paid for the device(s) that is mostly useless! I bought mine in September '21. Hoped the development stabilizes through the next few months but when reading these reviews... I'll have to sell the Bolt. Will anybody buy it for more than 1/2 initial value?! Nice looking, nicely beeping, not behaving as advertised!!!

Great bike computers (Elemnt, Bolt and Roam), and a well-functionig app (that probably could be made somewhat more graphically pleasing). They all work and sync easily and seamlessly, and if you are ok with a "normal" range of biking metrics, you wil never need another one.

The latest version December of 21. Statistics tab added displays metric only (imperial selected) stats for running, steps and all manner of things. I use this for cycling, everything else is in my way. Just generally not useful. Please correct this app, it should be for cyclists or at least be configurable. Still can't total annual miles. What is this review page used for. No responses, no actions taken.

Manage maps function does not work. Tried clearing cache, uninstalling and installing the app, and it still does not work. Extremely frustrating when one of the main and most basic functions of a product does not work.

Not working after update. When I use the GPS map on my app, and choose a destination, it won't sync any more with the device. Totally useless now. Please fix this. And stop sending out buggy updates.
