Elevation Profile

It's the best one I've found. Edit: Ok, it does have imperial units (feet, miles). Seems to work great. Fast and simple. I like that the download size is relatively small. I had an older version a few years ago where I think you could select many points, and it didn't have the route function. I liked that even better for evaluating Florida real estate, comparing many points in an area, but this works in a pinch.

Brilliant idea, poor execution. 1. Unable to dynamically update the actual position on the elevation graph when driving along the planned route. Useless for me. 2. App does not work in landscape mode. 3. Unable to switch to full-screen mode. 4. Unable to prevent screen saver to kick-in when in fullscreen mode. (I am using three other navigation apps and they have this feature). 5. Unable to display the elevation graph only, fullscreen and in landscape orientation. 6. Unable to display the elevation graph on a solid color background. Showing semi-transparent graph over the underlying map is obviously a bad idea (visually, and it eats the processor power). 7. Unable to properly select existing places: the app deviates unpredictably from the Google map search results. Example: Pettneu am Arlberg. Google Maps shows (correctly) a point in the village center, whereas Elevation shows an unnamed point on a hiking trail somewhere in the woods, high in the mountains. Confusing behavior.

Pretty good if it happens to select the same route between my origin and destination I want to take. I tested it now, but it selected a longer route which I have no intention of taking. With no way to change the route the app became useless. Plus fixed portrait mode is just plain stupid. Uninstalling.

Wow, we have trailer and travel all over the US with it. I just got back from a trip thinking that an app like this was a good idea. This one appears to be the only one and it's GREAT! Does exactly what I wanted. Click on a point on the profile and it shows the corresponding point on the map! THANK YOU for exactly what I envisioned so I don't have to write it myself!!

Great app! Wish it could auto rotate to landscape so we can see the graph much better. Also, please add gradient percentage on elevation when you scroll on the route. I'm a cyclist, and that would be very helpful and useful for us. Many thanks.

Very Disappointing. Whenever my device's screen times out and dims, this APP automatically DELETES ALL POINTS that I have entered, and then I have to start all over again. This is VERY FRUSTRATING, especially when I am bike-touring...and I need to pull over to see which direction to go — using this app — but it "forgets" the information whilst I'm using it.

Seems unable to drop pins to select the route for which I need a profile Edit: I didn't press long enough to create a marker, my mistake! Also love the feature to create a waypoints to force the route to follow one I want the profile for. The developer's quick response is appreciated, well done!

Alan, nice app but what are the chances of getting it like on my IPad, where I can draw a line anywhere , as if I was hiking in a straight line or a winding walk and get a profile. Yours is set to a profile, as if you are waking on a road or known trial, which is a known route. Moving along the profile and showing the elevation as you move it across the profile if awesome. I'd pay for that feature I mentioned above. There is another android app that does that but the profile is so far off it is sickening.

Only direct mode works now. Are there any other public domain maps you can use instead of Google maps? Even if map is not current, elevation along roads would be immensely useful.

It is very very useful but unfortunately I can not share my route with other navigation apps such as Waze or Google map. Please solve this problem in the next update.

Awesome app but on multiple devices and android versions it crashes. On note 9 android 8 it crashes when using Driving mode. 5 stars otherwise.

elevation plot should follow map. fir example boston to niagra falls the elevation always start from zero on left. but user can switich the stat and destination. still elevation map should follow the pghysical map

This app is worthless without a map that works with actual routes. Garbage. What a waste of time. Could be great, but it isn't...

No matter what I do, the app sops and closes itself whenever I enter a destination. Completely worthless until they fix that.

I would like to give this a 4+ but the app really needs to be rotatable and have a kill adds option. I use for RV as a digital dash option but screen on dash only ladscape. Sell your IP to Google for big bucks because their bicycle one is pretty lame.

Almost useless. No GOTO, not sure how, or if you can, delete waypoints or a route unless the app is exited.

Is there a way to get an elevation profile on a straight line instead of following a road route. For example I need a profile for a golf course. From one end of course to other end.

It shows profile, I liked this. Wanted about the extra data alongwith the destination & origination points. ie. Numbers with ^ symbols.

. Yuma, Az to Las Vegas, Nv: "This region does not support the travel mode." . Reno, Nv to Las Vegas, Nv: app crashes & closes. Samsung A50, Android 10.

Does what it says. An option to export the profile would be useful. (I'm also sad to hear that American units are now supported 😉)

Horrible. Useless - won't plot across terrain or my designated route - has a mind of its own. Uninstalled.

No longer works in recent versions of Android. Used to be great.

Useless. I set origin, and as soon as I set destination the app dies.
