Lot of fun, but doesn't recognise capital letters. Also, as it currently offeres literal translation, could there be an option to write by selecting the tengwar (symbol) you want, thus getting a more accurate translation? Thanks for a fun app.
This app is not good to learn elvish for someone. Some of the letters are wrong, and when you got to 'learn elvish', it only shows you the alphabet (which has wrong letters in it) how am I supposed to learn a language with only the alphabet? And I personally could understand the example. It doesn't make any sense.
I personally know how to write in Tengwar. This app gets an awful lot of it wrong in terms of the incorrect script structure and the correct letters in correspondence with the letter typed. Apparently a typed "H" is a Tengwar "E?" I am giving it two stars because the Tengwar letters being used are actually Tengwar, despite being scrambled.
This app is trash. It is wrong about a few letters, and it doesnt use the R rule. There are more things wrong with this app, I'm just not going to describe them all. All in all, I would not recommend this app. It is not worth it.
Not as advertised. It claims to be a translator for quenya, but all it does is transcribe whatever you write using the elvish alphabet.
It doesn't give you the engish alphabetic phonetics to the language it is only their written language which is annoying. Its beautiful to look at but how am i to learn elvish if I cant read how to say the phrases im translating?
Can't write more then a few words. Useless for longer strings of text.
A fun and easy way to learn to write in Elvish. I use it to write journal entries that no one else can read.
love it but its limited to one line. also the elves seem not to have emojis. maybe galadriel can help.
Bad ..downloaded and installed more than once not working do not translate anything this app must be taken off asap and not publish in any way or form, waist of time and a massive left down.please stop these kind of apps
Downloaded this as I thought it would let me write a note in elven for one of my characters in a d&d game I run but couldn't even write more than one line after I got through the add's
Does not translate any phrase it does one or two words but not a saying of any length
this is a transcriber not a translator. it just uses what you type in elvish script.
The app's great, you can't copy and paste though :^)
I wish you could hear the elvish words after you translate them, other than that its cool i guess...
If you already read the alphabet, than this is for you. If not, then don't even bother with this bs.
I like the app i just wish it could say the sentence in elvish
I was looking for Viking language but this one works too
Don't know how to aply the text wall to other ketboards
Dose not properly incorporate rules for; th, ph, sh, ugh, ng, or dipthongs.
Good Thanks for the app!!!!
You're not able to form full sentences. Also, can't copy the text or translate elvish into English.
It only allows you to put a little bit at a time. Not enough for a sentence. I'd advise using something else.
Not sure whats wrong but every other Elvish translator writes the exact same except this one.
Not a translator. It simply (very simply) converts English characters to Elvish script. And it gets well established anglicized Quenya and Sindarin words wrong.
The elvish letter for b and v are the same but the tail on the v should be going up, p and q have a similar problem.
This will ruin anyone trying to learn elvish and make those who use it look like a fool. Yes, I write elvish fluently. I downloaded this app to help my son learn. I used it myself first. Bad bad horrid app.
The translations aren't always correct. I know a bit about the language as I've studied some of it and I notice with this app that it doesn't account for certain variances when letters are next to each other in a word and should be combined to make a different symbol rather than what is shown. Idk if that makes sense but basically the app is wrong lol.
