Elfster

I haven't had issues in the past, but now when I try to add items, view wishlists, create exchanges, anything really... I just get a spinning circle like the app is thinking. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but now my list is showing blank on my end.

I really like elfster for the idea of it. It's not easy to add items to a wish list in that there's extremely limited filter features, yes, you can copy a link for another site but a lot of times it doesn't populate a picture of the item. Plan a lot of time to create your wish list. I do love being able to do a family gift exchange yearly...just wish they would upgrade standard functionality.

Good app to manage the drawing of names and such. Where it lacks is in the "wish list". Without some playing around, it is a bit clunky setting up lists, especially outside of Amazon. I have set up a general list with my likes in the notes and a link to Google search. If you go to see your own "wish" it gives you an error. Thankfully, it works as i hoped when others view my general interest. Easy to set up an exchange. For the drawing of names there are helpful draw restrictions.

Really convenient to have this in a mobile friendly format, keep me logged in, and send push notifications of updates to my Exchange! Only thing I wish for is Etsy connection to be included in filters, and for the search function within Etsy connection at both website and app to be a little more clear on it's searchability. (I will copy and paste the exact name of a listing and still can't find it in the Elfster results). All in all, very convenient!

Great website but app is garbage. It crashes a ton, there are always errors adding new items to my wishlist and the majority of the time I cant open any wishlists at all. Just keeps spinning.

Can't see all description of the item. On others Wish List the descriptions can't be fully read, so you have to guess. The links often take you to wrong size. I've tried putting in the size but you can't always see it. I'll be looking for a new app for next year. FRUSTRATING!!!

Love this app for Christmas & birthdays. Been using it for years! But recently I've been having a lot of issues opening this app. Also, I can no longer sign in with Facebook. Please fix this issue.

I loved this app, until recently, that is. It doesn't look like the latest update fixed bugs; more like it messed it up. The wishlist no longer loads, and it just keeps spinning and loading when I try to open it -my only one wishlist, btw, which is now gone-.

Does the job perfectly, easy to get in and out of. First year I've used the app and it brought over all my info from it's original site. It's nice that you can get signed up by the set deadline, but still go in and play with your wishlist.

I have been using your website and app for many years now. This is the first year I have been frustrated by it. When trying to create links I am getting a lot of invalid options and fill ins that read they are checking the browser, or spam bots or such. I am hoping this will help you improve this once again.

Fantastic app. Has all the features and tools to for any gift. It's not just for Christmas, you can use it for birthdays and anything else. I like how they update regularly. Sometimes I have problems, but updates fix them before I can complain.

This app constantly forgets what exchange I'm in or if there is an exchange. Accessing wish lists is ridiculous. I've added to my wish list I don't know how many times and every time I log in it says it's empty.

Easy to use, not obnoxiously ad-heavy, streamlined perfectly with the Amazon shopping app, and does all the hard work of sorting out Secret Santas and letting people ask questions covertly without giving away all the fun! Truly the perfect gift exchange app.

I enjoy this app. Very helpful on gift lists. However, I wish there was a more clear way of letting others know when someone purchased from a list. I had instances when people purchase the same gifts.

Works great and easy to use! There is a small issue with the phone app when updating item placements in list but is usually solved by updating or backing out and going back in.

This app works great for the tech savvy. Not so much for our elderly seniors or people who don't shop online. Easy to use app that you can add a link from any website to your wish list. Didn't use the search much as it doesn't pull from lots of websites. Google your item works faster and just link it to your wish list. Didn't experience any freezes or glitches. I use a Samsung s9 phone.

We've used Elfter for the 3rd years for our Secret Santa, and it works great Works great for drawing names, etc - But the Wish List feature could use some work. The Online Version is much easier to navigate than the phone app.

Made a wishlist. Now it's gone. Invite in email doesn't work. Only way the app lets you save a wishlist is if it's made public. App has glitches. Draw names on paper then use Amazon. This thing was better in years prior.

This app is great, however I wish we didn't have to see people's activity that we were in an exchange with in the past. It doesn't give people the option to block them even when you're not following eachother or friends.

This app is just super awful. It's slow, lacks functionality, rarely works.

It would be easier in sending the gifts to have a way to copy the address of the recipient for the shopping apps. Other than this, great service and great design

We started using it for Christmas last year. Now my girls and I use it for everything❤️ Christmas 2021, another fantastic year with Elfster. We were able to share this list with extended family It's hilarious when we all notice someones updated their list. Love this app.

Great service, but a clunky app. It's easier just to go to the browser site, even on my phone. Adding things to a wish list is much better through the website, and I kind of wish I could simply import a whole Amazon wish list. At the very least the app needs an easy way to directly input a link or post a text-only wish: "🦄 magical options" as they put it. If there is a way to do that in the app it needs to be more visible.

I recommend using the actual website instead of the app. I haven't had too many problems with the app, but it's missing some features the website has like rearranging the order of items in your wishlist, choosing which photo you want displayed with the item, and being able to write your own text if linking is too difficult for some.

Please update the app to have the same functionality as the website does. For example, the ability to follow or add as a friend those in the exchange. Also, when adding items to your list from a website, please allow the ability to actually type in or paste and go to a website and not just through the search engine. In addition, when adding from the web allow the ability to go back where you left off so that you don't have to start over for each new item you would like to add. Thanks.

We are using it for a small group, 6 people. Works well. I would rate higher but the name drawing algorithm is a tad glitchy. When a redraw has to occur, it seemed to assign the exact same names at least 3 times in a row before the name changed. My favorite is the wish list. I love the choice of vendors a d categories are so helpful, the best? I can add a like to an item from a site that maybe isn't part of elfster!
