Elixir seems to have devolved into abondware. Some of the functions no longer work on my Galaxy S8 running Android 9. In its day it taught me a lot, not only about my own device, but about Android in general. I got my money's worth, but I wouldn't buy it today as it's becoming obsolete.
I used this app for years and loved it. Now it's practically useless. Does not show system apps except for 3 and does not show the rest of the apps in my system. Uninstalling and finding another app till they fix the major bugs in this app.
Tamas, have you considered making Elixir open source? It is a great program but such a pity it has become so flaky in recent Android versions. Surely there would be people out there willing to maintain it if you have lost the time or energy to do so. Used to be 5 stars. Still using it but it's getting difficult.
The widgets of this app have stopped working, and it seems to have been abandoned. They will not fix the problems, and they will not reply to any feedback or emails. It's really a shame - I have used this application for years.
It's an all around tool. Helpful with almost everything. Especially helpful if you are having mobile networking troubles as it's ability to get into hard to reach menus is superb.
This has been my go-to Android app for years. I have how it has extended the functionality and usability of my phones. It's starting to go weird with Android 10: Please keep updating it!
What happened with this update? Shortcuts stopped working. Can't populate app list beyond core Samsung apps. Plus there is a notification bar that loads when other apps open.
After using this app for years I'm uninstalling. Nothing works, the app launcher doesn't list all my apps so I can select the one I want, I'm getting ads even though I made a donation, and etc, etc etc.
Update: The last Elixir widget version, (2.43.3 (104)) crashes constantly... several icons addons does not refresh in real time (ex.Battery level, Moble data toggle and so on...), Please fix it and the STARS will raise again, over the "Google firmament"...😇
Apps in the Status Bar widget are no longer working/available with today's update. Also began to constantly vibrate like an incoming notification is going off.
Was great until Android Pie update now only works intermittently. Have to go into widget editing and save again. More work than finding app or function manually. Uninstalling.
What a shame. Since upgrade to Android Pie on Samsung Galaxy S9 the Widget no longer works with any of the system shortcuts! Now have t go back to individual widgets to perform any tasks. Please fix.
I've always loved this app...NOT ANYMORE! It has gone from being very helpful to being virtually useless. Very frustrating & disappointing. From 5-star to no star...sad
I love this app. Only thing I would say is since android 10. Vibration on widgets no longer works. Widget itself works fine, just not vibrating.
Uninstalling after using it for years. Recent update broke my favorite functions. No updates from dev regarding a fix, so finding something else.
Great tool to check what apps snuck of of the SD card, but dont buy the in-app upgrade. Been a week and still getting ads.
Love this app. Easy to use and very informative. Many useful tools. Should be on the Top of the charts in playstore.
Used this for years, amazing other than when editing a previous widget, it doesn't display custom icon images that are stored on the sd card.
Very cool. I enjoy the widget in the status bar. i can set what i want. Very interesting stuff. 5⭐!!!
Really nice shortcuts and widgets. Keep in mind that badges will not display on them.
Pixel 3 - "CPU Usage statusbar widget" just gives me an elixir icon attached to a blank notification no matter what I do.
This app freezes up my phone. Any sensor test I do freezes my phone and I have to restart the phone.
If you want dialed-in, fast, obviously frequently required function access, it's right here.
Generally ok but shows the battery charging current high by factor of 10. I don't have 5000 mA charger. Android Pie.
Update works fine for me, but I'm still on Android 7, as Verizon won't update my Note 5.
With the new Samsung Software Update the e2 status bar can't hold the apps it used to.
Thankfully this bad update and lengthy period of no fix has pushed me to learn and migrate all my scripts to a new app, which I'd been meaning to for a while as this app hasn't been developed of late. Really missed this app's ability to turn wifi on and off. After the last update, using a profile that would usually turn wifi on or off now just opens the wifi settings.
