Elixir 2 - Widgets

Was so pleased to see an update! However, it's now broken. Can't launch applications, instead it opens the Play store page for the app. Try and add an app shortcut, doesn't list the installed applications. Tried to email the author months ago, no response. Would be happy to assist in testing, this is the only app I've used across all phones and versions of Android.

After upgrading to Android pie, it can't edit the widget that I recreated with the same app. No reply from the support email, that I sent. Very flexible launcher widget. You can setup your most used applications in one or more widgets. You can backup the widgets and restore them if accidentally deleted. You can also create shortcuts to urls, so you can open your favorite web-links in the browser. Shortcuts can be created to application specific activities, as well.

All of a sudden in 2/2021, widgets started acting weird. When apps are updated, the widget doesn't update them automatically and many won't even show up on the widget when reloaded. This makes the missing apps show up as empty icons on the widgets. New version crashes a lot, too. I've used Elixir on every Android device I've owned and am sad to say I may need to move on to another option.

Used this widget set for yeeeears, no issue. Whatever happened in this last update has caused some serious issues. After making a widget, they only work for a short time and then never work again. So I have to remake the widgets every few minutes.... not worth it. Guess I'll have to find an out dated apk and see if that works.

I've used this app for years, and think it makes a great homescreen widget. Recently, my widgets reverted to default. Widget backups not available to restore. Widget shortcut allows me to load my backup, but there is no way to restore it or create a widget from it... I've always thought this app's UI was clunky and cluttered at best, but this takes the cake. Must've been programmed with a welding helmet on and it's now showing. I'll stick with it in hopes of recovering what I liked about Elixir--the widgets--but might look for a more stable alternative. Still not fixed, but I was able to get one of my widgets from the "shortcut widget" section where they now appear to be restorable when I add a widget to my home screen. Reproducing the same steps (backing up the widget from the shortcut widget screen, restoring when creating a home screen widget) only worked for one shortcut backup. How frustrating, and no help from the dev just yet.

OK. resolved previous issues that was a learning curve but it constantly is reported as using high backgrund battery. Resolve that and get more stars, Still also awqward to change the widget layout without removing and readding the widget. Aside from that really good but can't get 4 or more stars with Android 10 device care constantly flagging it for high background usage.

On Samsung Galaxy Note 8 after Android 9.0 update, WiFi Name is no longer accessed. WiFi speed & thru-put still display. Updated App permissions to allow access to all network info, still no dice. Also, the widget you create will need to be "saved" again after each reboot in order to be displayed. An update would be great and would support $$.

This program worked wonderfully before it updated on Feb 4th. When I choose to launch an application through the app it only gives me a list of default apps installed on the phone. I'm not sure if this was how they wanted it to be or if this is a bug but it worked wonderfully for a year.

With the new version the widget does NOT refresh at all. Using Android 11 on Pixel 3. It used to work fine on the older version of the app. Please fix if possible. As the widget is static and is useless. The update on May 8 against stopped the refresh.

I have to agree with what's been written about the latest version of this app. It's buggy, crashes for no reason, and doesn't play well with other apps. I'm giving it three stars because it does some things well, but not well enough. I hope the devs fix this. In the meantime, I'll roll it back one or two versions.

Just updated it again, still doesn't work, it won't let me even make any widgets. Please put the old version back up until you have fixed the problem. I have found another widget app and will be forced to delete this app if it's not fixed.

With the recent update, custom icon packs disappeared, only the default is available. When you tap on them to download in the app, nothing happens. Please fix that!

This widget has been working great till the recent update; it start vibrating and message pops, the options to disable these vibration didn't work. Can you revert to the previous version? Don't fix something that is not broken...

Used to be perfect. Used it for years. For some reason, custom icons don't appear in the editing mode anymore. Making it almost impossible to change them.

I used this toggle app a lot on my S7 Edge,i had it on my home screen and it always worked well, no issues. the reason for 2 stars is I have now updated my phone to a Note 9 and this app no longer works at all.

I've used this app for about half a decade now, I love it so much and always used it. But now it seems that the newest update has ruined it, and now it just plain doesn't work anymore. I will undoubtedly change this review to 5 stars once it's fixed, but right now it's just super disappointing :(

OK, so the application was working perfectly, then they crippled it, then they abandoned it. They won't respond to any emails or any reviews. Do NOT download this application. It's abandonware.

Have been using the app for years. It's perfect but getting old now so with Android Pie there is an odd issue. I'd gladly pay a few $ for it if the developer continues and I'm sure many feel the same

One of the first apps I install on all new phone (tablets as well)s. Getting on for 7 years that " ELIXIR WIDGETS" cover my home screen helping me interact with my phone. 🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐. Ten stars there, that's how good I think this app is. Thanks DEV......

Been a great app, used it for years. Early Feb 2021 update has broke it completely. Unstable and crashes regularly. Bummed. No longer can use.

Since last update (vs 2.43.4 from 04 feb 21) does not find any other apps except the system ones. All the apps are installed but cany find them. If i click the old widget to launch the app it does bring me to Google play app to install it Elixir Admin does not work (says is not installed)

Don't update! when I updated it reset my widgets, had trouble recognizing icon packs. Tried an old apk, didn't recognize either. A fresh install seemed to fix things - had to reconfigure my widget but works proper. REMEMBER if it ain't broke, don't update!

After last update Feb 2021 this app stopped working properly. I am using widgets in status bar and on home screen. The ones in status bar work OK but the ones working on Home Page do not work OK. The widgets on Home Page stop working when I access widgets in status bar. Invoking Elixir and then Widgets temporarily restores operation of widgets on Home Screen. But When I access widgets on status bar, the widgets on Home Page stop working. I am using Android 9 on Samsung J5 Pro

Worked for years. Now, latest 8th Feb, supposedly a fix, it's even worse than 5th Feb. Constant empty vib notification and widgets only work once. Android 9. Not good!

Many years of perfection replaced by a buggy update. Widgets stop working, and an annoying empty notification keeps popping up everywhere. (Sony Xperia 1 ii, Android 11)

It would be great if you can rotate the widget 90 degrees. It's also strange that an icon takes up most of the space. I'd rather have the information taking up most of the space.

Constant blank notifications now after the recent update and radio silence from the developer. It's hard to believe. Absolutely do not install.
