Ello

I've had issues with the app. I have a shotty internet connection at home and after watching a spinning ball for way too long while uploading two images I switched to cell data and recieved a bunch of errors about cennection being lost. I had to reboot my phone. Other then that the app works. There doesnt seem to be a lot of users using it though. I haven't interacted with anyone.

The app is glitchy. Tried multiple times to simply delete a post - didnt happen. The stats are also flawed...every time you refresh or view your own post it counts as a public view. Views should be based on visitors only. Besides the editing issues, the app is generally slow in response and often requires multiple clicks to perform a task. I'm uninstalling until there's an upgrade. Ello is a great concept and I firmly support what they're doing. Users now just need a stable version.

The return button doesn't work so I can't add a blank line, say between a link and some text, or between two lines, or between a photo and some writing, or... Or... Or. It works fine on all the other apps I use so I know it's not an issue with my phone. Because of this glitch I can only share text-formatted posts on a pc or laptop... Which kind of defeats the purpose!!

On the whole the content is diverse and intresting, its creative and different, but its let down by the fact that it is laggy, being slow to load initially, and then the same whilst viewing posts, waiting it to "load more", or going back. If it could be speeded up, it would become more usable, and more user friendly. Also, the listed statics seem hit and miss.

The app works so slow and the interface needs to improve a lot. The images are usually presented in thumbnails instead of one single picture at a time. And if I want to take a look at the photo I need to click on it and there's no way to move to the next photo without going back. To repost a picture, it takes me another page, I just want to get done with it in a single page.

The concept is awesome but the app itself is bogged down and slow. It reminds me of a better tumblr, but it runs worse than tumblr. Auto logs you out sometimes, doesn't always load the screen on the first go, and not every picture will load when scrolling. I can't even edit my profile without it glitching and not saving my info or saving the wrong info completely.

Despite wanting to like the Ello app it is impossible. it's basically the website. the website forgets your login. the moment you submit the page you have to state at a grey refresh screen, which is about 60% of your experience. Doesn't appear to support password saving. as a result of presumably being a website, the edittext inputs don't support basic keyboard features such as capitalisation of the first letter. The sparse UI isn't as simplistic as I think was intended.

Haven't been able to use the app because it keeps crashing when I try to post!!! Also, it's not compatible with Google Chromebook which runs Android!!! And no, I will not give you my phone specs. It's Android running latest version. Can't be a member if I can't use the app. FIX IT PLEASE!!!

Waste of time! Can't login to the phone app. Keeps saying incorrect ID or password. I'm using the same login on my desktop. No idea why the phone app won't work. I've tried multiple times to resolve this. I've changed the password. Nothing works. App and website are slow and don't work. Now I can't login even login on the desktop. Complete waste of time.

Would love to give this app a go, but it crashes the moment I try to open the app. I have tried clearing cache and uninstalling reinstalling, but it's probably a bug that needs to be fixed by the developers. Hopefully this can get solved. I'd love to try this app out.

I'd give zero points if I could. Completely unusable, couldn't sign up with app nor browser version. Buttons don't respond, pages load endlessly without result and in the end you're back at the start. Uninstall is the best solution..

It isnt anything special, and pintrsst is more intuitive to use. Cannot make communities without using a second email. It honestly is mostly just annoying if i am being honest, i would have liked it to go somewhere, but not much that i can personally tell is different from when i was first invited to use it. My recommendation to the devs here, give it more quality of life updates.

The app is pretty much garbage. There's no reason it should be taking 15 minutes just to upload a profile picture. I had to restart the app 6 different times and the picture still isn't right. It randomly crashes too. I had a hard time just signing up to. Absolute mess. No thank you, cannot recommend.

Probably be better if it worked. I can't even get past the sign up phase. I've tried on the app and PC. Used different emails, and you can't sign up.

Slow loading, hangs after commands, force crashes... Overall, the functionality of this app is basically a train wreck. The fact that the app hasn't been updated in three years probably has much to do with its poor performance.

The login experience in both the Ello app and the website are maddening. It takes upwards of 15 seconds for it to do anything after I submit. I then tried to change my password, and it silently failed. I then used the "forgot password" feature and never received the email. Now I can't log in at all.

So, I've just downloaded it, and trying to get the hang of it. Perhaps after so much time spent on IG I find this app a bit clanky and slow. BUT, I can't wait to get used to it cause the approach they have is way more fresh, fair and inclusive. With Ello you don't feel like a product anymore. I'll be updating to 5 stars when the usability and speed get better!

it doesn't allow you to upload images, it just exits the upload. the app hasn't been updated since 2017 and recently they said that they won't support the android app anymore. boo! not cool! 😡 😡 so as much as I love this platform, your inability to deliver a useful app makes me drop it.

The main card screen is awesome! Finding a catagory then being able to swipe left or right to see other cards. This needs to be the entire site navigation. The app as currently is clunky and hard to use.

I think for the way it looks and feels it's more professional and a better alternative for other Socialmedia-outlets. The only 2 down side (really) are that it's a bit slow and there aren't that many people active I feel! Overall I'm happy and I'll keep uploading 🖖❤

Not very impressed. The interface is very slow, requiring me to refresh the page just to see a new search result. The UI is unintuative and poorly designed and its actually kinda hard to find anything or anyone youre looking for.

philosophically the app is great; I'll always love and support an open space for creators. but technically, the app needs a lot of work - it's slow, buggy, unresponsive and constantly crashing
