Elvish Translator (Real)
It can translate sentences from English to Quenya with correct grammar, in fact it's the only real elvish translator in the world! Quenya is a fictional (but functional) elvish language created by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Using special language translation technology, it really translates the meaning of a sentence, not just the words. It also has wordlists with thousands of words and their meanings.
This app is great for use with RPGs and fun just to explore!
If you're trying to learn Quenya, this app would be very helpful. It can derive verb tenses and noun cases, and contains information on both.
It's also only 0.12MB and doesn't need access to the internet to work, in fact it can't access the internet.
Notes:
- Check the "What's New?" section of the main menu to see all new features.
- Unfortunately I lost a special file that verifies the app for updates, so I have to release it as a new app and people with the older one won't be notified! Tell your friends if they have it!

- This app now only supports Android 3.0 and higher because of the Action Bar up top. I'll try to add support for earlier versions soon.
- This update also adds a lot of improvements to usability. Earlier versions were clunky and tedious to quickly go through. I hope this release makes learning Elvish much easier!!!

Makes a handy Quenya dictionary, but the translator still needs work. I used the English text of Frodo's greeting to Gildor as a test sentence, and found that it can't handle possessives -- it sees them as separate words and isn't able to convert them to affixes. Also can't convert locative prepositional phrases into case-marked nouns ('golden leaves fall in the wind' becomes 'laurie lassi lantar mi i súre' -- sooo wonderfully close! Although not 'súrinen'). Understandably tricky stuff to code! But it did great on making the adjective and verb agree in number with the noun. The word bank also lacks proper names from Middle-earth, which somewhat limits acceptable sentences. But overall, a surprisingly good outcome for a very difficult machine translation task!
I was really excited about this app but almost everything you type says error. I'm yet to find anything it can actually translate. Disappointed
Honestly there are no words in this app it has almost no words in it that can fit together and not sound stupid " we are elves " we kill orcs " like if you say any of these you'll sound like a caveman actually add more than 50 words and I'll rate you higher
No matter what i write in the translator it just gives an error. Even if the word is in the list. Again error!
I dislike it already. I wanted something translated from english and yet it says that the word(s) i typed in are not on the word list but when I checked, they are! UNINSTALLED!
The translater on this is only limited to it's own dictionary which is not very extensive or imaginative.
This app doesn't have important and common words, like "I" and "hello". This makes it useless.
Its so cool I tell my parents stuff and they don't understand what I say love it 😂 but have to admit that the tranclator using really much of a help it keeps saying error
This app has no words. Like when I put in cat or even elf nothing came up. It just said error every time.
I tipped hello and it said error....and don't try to convince me that hello doesn't exist in elfish
This app wouldn't translate a single sentence! It gives error messages no matter what I type there's a word it doesn't recognize. It doesn't even recognize words like, "Hello" or "I'm". It is not at all useful.
Loved the app but it doesn't tell you how to pronounce the word.
This damn app doesn't have HALF the words I'm looking for. Please isn't in there, and a crap ton more.
As stated translator function wont function
It'd missing words like "but" and "did" it's more or less useless. Couldn't even translate "the light shines in the dark"k

I thought I found what I'm looking for but this app has still missing words.....only choosen words are the only ones can translate here.......need more improvements
App opens & seems to run fine at the start, dictionary portions work but take ages to respond.. Translate portion would not work at all, just constantly sits on loading indicator :/ I really wanted it to work, uninstalled instead.
This was horrible. It didnt recognize any words i put in and i kept getting met with error. Please fix
Every time I do some small sentence it always has some error because of words like be or may.
Well I use the words in the bank that is given and still...it gives me error
Why are none of the elven translators that I find any good. They either don't have the pronunciation or they have not got simple stuff like hello in them I mean come on does hello not exist in elvish or something?

This is a very limited translator. I would suggest perhaps that you alter the translator to translate the words that it recognises or even perhaps have it so that any unrecognized words in the sentence are highlighted while valid words. Needs improvement but if you put in the work into altering your sentences to only the allowable words it is ok. (There are a lot more words that could be added to the dictionary)
